Dr. Earl L. Whittaker, DDS

This truly is family dentistry at it’s best. The staff is warm and friendly and the hygienists and dentists are highly skilled and genuinely care about each and every patient. I’ve been going there for 20 years and I’ve never had a bad experience. They are there on call for emergencies and their dedicated and compassionate bedside manner is always comforting in those times of need. I couldn’t more highly recommend Whitaker Family Dentistry and each and everyone that works there. They work hard and they care and it shows! Thank you! Todd.

I heard positive things about this dental practice from my boyfriend who saw Dr. Dan and Dr. Earl. It was our first dental experience in Spokane. While I haven't seen Dr. Dan and Dr. Earl, Dr. Taylor treated me. I have visited their office twice now. Their staff are excellent at what they do and provide gentle dentistry and a compassionate customer experience. I received a filling for a tooth that was filled 4 years ago and a full radiograph showed possible decay beneath the filling. Dr. Taylor performed drilling to 100% make sure no decay was actually there (I was asymptomatic during the prophylaxis and over the years after this filling). While no decay was found, the dentist and hygienist/assistant did an awesome job on curing the filling in the back molar, making sure the bite felt good before leaving, and the anesthetic insertion was smooth, providing clear communication throughout and pointing out interesting details regarding my teeth which shows their knowledge and helped make the experience to the dentist less scary. The front desk staff and Dr. Dan clearly communicated and answered all questions I had via email and over the phone while I had last-minute question regarding post-filling sensitivity. I didn't feel rushed at this dental practice and look forward again to trusting them with the health and maintenance of my dentition!

I had a great experience. Friendly staff. Positive environment. I felt very comfortable during my visits. My dentist Daniel Whittaker is hand down the best dentist around. This is a great dental office. All the staff is so friendly. It seems reasonably priced and very accommodating. I've had a great experience with what could have been very uncomfortable procedures. I definitely recommend them.

I broke a tooth a few days after Thanksgiving and called to see if they could fit me in to take care of it. The first appointment available was on December 6th, so I resigned myself to being careful of what I ate until then. S few days later I received a call from the office asking if I could get into the office at 1:30 that day. Then an hour or so later, they called again asking if I could come in right away.

The practice does all that they can to take care of their patients needs as they come up and are great with the patients, keeping them informed of what's needed to meet their dental health.

The. Assistant and the receptionist , yes even billing has been a great conversation to include with low payments and patience..

Welcoming and friendly staff. I like that I am informed every step of treatment. They were very gentle. They were very helpful in explaining the financials (what to expect from insurance, etc.). 😊

Amazing office, amazing staff, amazing dentists. I use to hate going to the dentist, going to see the Dr. Whittaker's I now love going to the dentist.
Edit: They also really go the extra mile in making sure you follow up with referrals and making sure you are getting top notch medical care for your teeth/mouth.

I’ve never been met with such empathy and kindness by staff. I have some pretty bad dental phobia but they were so accommodating and responsive to my needs and took time to explain everything for me. Definitely recommend :)

Very happy I found them a few years ago. Just good old fashioned father and son dentistry. Also, a remarkably friendly staff. They make everything so easy, not requiring multiple appointments to get dental work done or trying to upsell services and products like some previous dental offices I've been to and that others have told me about. I would, without any hesitancy, recommend them to anyone needing dental services. In fact, I recently got my wife to switch from a boutique style dentistry office to them. She is happy she made the switch.

How was my visit to the Dentist?
It’ couldn’t have been better.
I know my Dentist is going to take care of me. I get the best of care there and I’m really very fortunate to be one of the patients there at Whittaker Family Dentistry.
I’ve had everything from fillings to crowns and now bridgework done by Dr Dan Whittaker.
Because he’s young, I was kind of worried he might not know all the ins and outs that his Father, Dr. Earl Whittaker knows but I was mistaken.
He knows exactly how to do the work I need done to keep my teeth which is important to my everyday health.
He knows all about the new techniques, too.
Dr. Dan makes sure that I’m comfortable in every way before, during and after the dental work he does so well for me.
When I was a young kid, I learned going to the Dentist was to be a “frightful” experience. During my lifetime, I did experience some of that but now that I’ve found and settled in with Dr. Dan Whittaker, I’m am far more at ease and without fear, as well as grateful to have him for my Dentist. Dr. Dan tells me how things are going during the visit, which helps greatly to keep me comfortable. I’ve suffered with dental anxiety for decades but anymore, I no longer have to.
Dr. Dan has a very gentle, well thought out way with whatever dental need I may have. He’s there to help me.
The office support staff is equally as friendly and kind as is Dr. Dan. My Hygienist, Stephanie, has got to be the best there is, too. The gentleness runs in the family!
I simply wouldn’t go anywhere else as everything I may need is right there at Whittaker Family Dentistry.

After my long-time dentist’s retirement, I did not have a satisfactory experience with the next dentist. Whittaker Family Dentistry was recommended by a friend who is an orthodontist and I saw Dan Whittaker, DDS. The staff was friendly and competent. Dr. Whittaker was thorough, professional and took care of a problem that my prior dentist didn’t solve in 3 visits. Stephanie, the hygienist was equally impressive. Highly recommend.

Professional service with a warm atmosphere. Our time is precious and as a client for over 20 years I have never had to wait in the lobby. Dr. Whittaker and his team have proven to me they can be trusted and relied upon to deliver the service they promote, time and time again.

I had a dental emergency the day before Christmas Eve. Rather than making me tough it out, Dr. Whittaker's office got me in within 2 hours of my call and managed to get the pain under control until I was able to get into an endodontist after the New Year. Dr. Dan called me several times over that 2 week period to check in on me and ensure I was still doing ok. Since then, my contact with the office has been as pleasurable as you can have with a dentist's office. I went here initially because they could help in an emergency, but I am now going here because they are a great dental team and one I am happy to have on my care team!
