We held a family reunion here this year and this place was absolutely perfect! Everyone loved this venue. The owners are nothing less than professionals. Easy to work with on what we needed and wanted.

My wife and I came here to eat for my birthday. The hostess was polite and we were seated promptly for our 6:15 reservation. We ordered and shared the crispy Brussels sprouts for our appetizer. They were delicious! Topped with bleu cheese crumbles, bacon, dried cranberries, and balsamic drizzle, these sprouts were a definite treat for our taste buds. My wife ordered the Lobster Flatbread and I chose the 14oz ribeye. The Lobster Flatbread was oven baked and served on a wooden plank. It was abundantly sprinkled with chunks of lobster and was mouthwatering and flavorful. My ribeye was served medium rare, and succulent. Every bite seemed to melt in my mouth. I enjoyed a couple glasses of wine with my meal, as they have an extensive list of choices from the bar. We finished our meal by sharing a Crème Brûlée. Our entire meal from beginning to end was fantastic, and the service was prompt and friendly. I’d recommend trying this hidden gem of a restaurant.

Used the Cabin for catering our son's rehearsal dinner for 20. We received an enormous amount of excellent food. We were set for days after. Accessible prices and excellent quality and portions.

Char and Kevin were the most accommodating and creative people to work with. We enjoyed the process of brainstorming to make our vision come to life and the food did not disappoint! I would recommend their services 10 times over to any couple looking for something beyond “boring” catered food. Prices were affordable and well worth it.

Very nice staff, ate outside. Quiet. Waitress prompt and attentive. Pickle fries with dipping sauce excellent. Had Southwest bowl with cauliflower rice and chicken. Great blend of flavors. Creme Boule with whipped cream fantastic, great cap to the meal. Local so we will be back!

We celebrated my father-in-laws 90 birthday at the Cabin tonight. The service was excellent! Our server was super attentive. The banquet room table they set for us was so nice. Thank you to the staff! I highly recommend the Bourbon Chicken, perch dinner and the pulled pork sandwich.

We selected The Cabin to cater a small company Christmas Party off-site after our prior caterer we were going to use stopped responding (yikes!) Char was absolutely wonderful to work with through the entire process. I made her aware of some food allergies in our group and after submitting the menu that we selected, she even called me to assure that I knew some of the items that we selected were not safe (which we knew not all of them where, but 1 we did not and were able to change to a safe option for those people). Day of the event they were very prompt and arrived and set up the buffet. Our employees and their families enjoyed the food and we had plenty left over for guests to take home as well which they loved! Thanks for great customer service from start to finish! We will be back again.

I visited for a seminar, the menu was fixed but everything was wonderful. Would definitely visit again.

I have enjoyed dinner here with a couple of friends, and also with larger groups. Service was great in each situation. Clean place; that's important to me. I love the fish dishes and many of my dinner companions think the steak is excellent. I have attended special events in the large banquet room, where small plates of appetizer and finger foods were offered. So good. There's a well-stocked bar. The atmosphere in the cozy dining areas is pleasant and I would say that this can be a romantic place, but it also is welcoming to casual diners like me. The prices are in line with the excellent quality of the food and drinks. Views from the "window room" are pretty. It's kind of out-of-way, but worth finding.

My boyfriend & I just took his granddaughter. The atmosphere was relaxed, very nice live dinner music, the food was wonderful! I had the Little Signature. It was perfectly cooked. Delicious! Good service also. Highly recommend

Went again today, was the worst experience ever. I made reservations on Thursday for tonight. Get there and she can't seem to find them. We got a table anyway. Apparently we didn't look service worthy. 20 minutes for our first drinks to come. I was told it was because our server had a large table. Maybe she should learn to multitask. Food was good as always even though we had to wait forever for everything. There were lots of open tables, not sure why seating hostess made a big deal about our reservations. Needless to say our bill was over 200 for 4 people. My friend looked at it. We were charged extra for everything. Funny how the manager was right there when she brought the bill. I would have never questioned it. Thank God Dawn Geary did. Our waitress, didn't catch her name, was rude and annoying. She probably never told us her name to be honest. I am just your average person but would never be rude or condescending. Our waitress treated us like we were white trash. So she got tipped accordingly. Sorry, not really. High end place, low class service

The food is awesome! Waitstaff is so nice and helpful! Beautiful atmosphere! Owners are gracious! We couldn't have went to a better place to celebrate my Dad's birthday!

We enjoyed the outside seating. Nice variety on the menu. The salmon was moist with a light sauce. Our group enjoyed their meals also. Easy parking.

We’ve been visiting for quite a number of years. The food quality is always excellent. The recent transformation to a more casual dining room from the previously more formal atmosphere has been a great improvement while the food is still excellent!

Awesome experience! This place has the best food in town. Wonderful staff, and amazing food. The Cabin makes you feel at home with the music and atmosphere. Highly recommend this place for a good affordable dinner.

My wife Tracey and I live about 3 minutes from The Cabin, and we regard it as one of the true gems of this area. I've eaten at my share of nice restaurants over the years, and to find a restaurant of this caliber tucked into the countryside east of Mansfield when I moved here nearly 3 years ago was nothing short of remarkable.

Tracey and I eat here regularly, at least once every two weeks, so I have a particularly unique perspective on the place. I have also been in and around the food industry myself, which provides me with some added reflection.

Restaurants are about three things primarily: hospitality and service (staff), atmosphere, and the food itself. Given its location, and watching the ebb and flow of customer traffic, I know that staffing this restaurant is challenging work. There is no clear way to predict turnout on any given evening in the ways that urban restaurants enjoy. In spite of that challenge, we have found the service to be consistently top notch, which is no small feat. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, but with a beautiful dash of class. The live music is first rate, perfect for the atmosphere, on the evenings when they have it.

As for the food, I find it to be consistently at or near the top of its class. Are there ever times when I find it less? Of course, but those are EXTREMELY rare events, and never less than "fair." No restaurant ever bats 100% -- I have had meals I would rank "fair" at much higher-end restaurants over the years as well. An elderly member of our family, who has lived on Florida's gulf coast for decades, said this year that he has never had a better scallop entree than the one that he had here at The Cabin. That's some pretty high praise. Whoever they have working their kitchen is absolutely first rate.

Their catering business is also second to none. My wife and I had them cater our wedding celebration, a crowd of about 120 people, earlier this summer. The food that they provided was exceptional, and received accolades during the entire evening.

So that's my two cents on The Cabin. Realizing that there were probably no reviews posted from folks who eat there quite regularly, I figured taking the time to write something up would be a helpful perspective. Are they perfect? Of course not. Are they consistently excellent, based on my personal and regular experience eating there? Yes, beyond any shadow of a doubt. And given my life experience with restaurants in their price-point, that gives them a solid 5 stars from me.

Great owners, great food

Char did an event for us with a Luau theme. The food was excellent and really carried out our theme. The staff was outstanding. I highly recommend them for your next event.
