Buckeye Express Diner

What a 'hidden' gem! Unique diner that has seating in a converted train car, great food, good serving size, and super friendly staff. They have a really fun atmosphere and even play areas for children too. Highly recommend stopping if you're in the area or passing through.

Staff was super friendly & attentive! Huge menu on wall for quick & easy ordering when you walk in & they bring out your food. The portions are huge and def worth the price you pay. Fries are good and seem homemade. We got the patty melt, mushroom burger and roast beef sandwich. All delicious 😋 Fun atmosphere especially if you're a Buckeye fan 🙃 Cute play area outside for the kids and of course it's a cool experience to dine inside a train! Will definitely be back next time we are in the area! ♥

Staff was extremely friendly. Thier service was fast and the food was amazing!! Great places for family or lunch with friends. I'll definitely go back.

With all that I don’t understand why the line isn’t 10 miles long but glad it is not-we love it here!! This place should be on everyone’s bucket list-the food is awesome!! Fries are the best ever and each sandwich I’ve ever had has never disappointed!! Fabulous Place to eat!!

This was an absolutely wonderful dining experience. When speaking of unique places to eat in Ohio, the Buckeye Express Diner will be hard to top. Not only are you able to dine in a railcar or a caboose, but you're also able to eat some terrific food right next to the world's largest bobblehead. Great stuff, highly recommend!

This is a great place to eat and enjoy some great atmosphere. If you are a BUCKEYE fan. It's a must. Check out the pictures and you will see what I am talking about. Ask for Hailey... she is very pleasant and thorough. She is one of the best waitresses we have ever had. ❤ If you are not smiling on the day you visit, not to worry, she will give you one of her fabulous smiles 😀 . Take your time and enjoy. It is absolutely worth it!

This diner was awesome! The staff was super friendly! The burger was AMAZING!! Definitely loved eating in a train car! Super cool location. Make sure to stop and see the tallest bobblehead in the parking lot! Nice outdoor seating area and play area as well.

Great roadside attraction and diner. Experience eating in a real train car or caboose. Diner includes a pretty complete Ohio State Buckeyes collection. Good variety of food options and some of the best fresh cut fries around. Stop also includes the world’s largest bobble head and several other train related exhibits.

We were so hungry and seen this coming up on our next exit, it was perfect. Love the scenery leading up to the restaurant as well as inside! Very patriotic to Ohio! Glad we decided to roll the dice and make the stop! Quick burger and fries joint, the burger was seasoned and cooked just right! Highly recommend!

On my way home from Cleveland, I decided to stop for lunch at the Buckeye Express restaurant and have lunch on a train!! Cheeseburger was delicious. This place is near Mansfield, Ohio. This is also the site of the world's largest Bobblehead. He is situated in the rear of the parking lot and serves burgers. Nice roadside stop! What a beautiful day!! 🌞 ☀

My 2½ year old grandson loves trains! So when I learned about this restaurant I knew we had to bring him.

We ordered at the counter, then found a table. Our food was especially good, and servers checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything.

He loved eating in a train, and playing on the train play area afterward. I think we could have stayed all day!

This visit was our 1st time! It was mouthwatering! Our burgers were so good! The jalapeño stuffers were amazing as well. We loved sitting in the smaller section of the train. Overall, fantastic! Will go again soon! ❤😁👍

A fun place! How often can one say they’ve eaten in an actual train car? There is all kinds of cool things going on here with Buckeye theming and the Jacques statue outside. Then there’s the food. The burgers are amazing! Well worth the trip wherever the trip may be from!

Great atmosphere and food in this locally-owned railroad-themed diner! You can actually eat inside the train cars - very cool! We always have dinner here when we visit my in-laws. Excellent burgers with creative combinations! Love the homemade fresh-cut french fries (will have to try the sweet potato fries next time). I usually always get the bacon cheeseburger (which is to die for), but this time tried the grilled chicken sandwich. It was juicy and seasoned well. I'd like to try the Brutus Philly Beef sandwich next time - looks great!

This was exactly the "Diner" experience or group wanted. We stopped on our way to Blossom Amphitheater and stopped the next day again. Burgers are HUGE. Get your napkins ready (at the table). Fries are delicious. Bologna was delicious. Hot dog was delicious. The atmosphere is cool- you're in a train car. Michigan fans need to park down the hill. The World's Largest Bobble Head was a nice bonus.

Cute spot...I wouldn't really recommend the chicken salad croissant but the fries were amazing. Prices are good!

Great place for a buckeye fan. There are some cool things to check out outside and inside of the restaurant, I love the view. They have a gluten free hamburger bun, which is good, the hamburger also was great, serving sizes are big and the price is actually pretty cheap for the quality of food. I like this place.

Very cute and fun experience for train lovers ,the bugers big big and yummy, and the grilled cheese was good too
