Burr Oak Lodge & Conference Center

We spent three nights here. We stayed at the lodge but they do have cabins as well. Our room had a bedroom and separate living room and two bathrooms. The couch pulled out into a bed of you needed it to. The room was comfortable and had great views. We could access it from the outside which was super convenient. We had a small table and patio as well. When we checked in we noticed handicapped parking as well as parking for wounded warriors. We loved that! There isn’t anything close by to eat. But they have a dinning room. We had breakfast there as well as lunch and one dinner. The staff was wonderful. Ethan waited on us probably more than anyone and he was great! We had steak, salmon, wings, pizza and thought it was all pretty good! They have plenty of be seating as well as tables for small and larger groups. I enjoyed the views the dining room offered! It overlooks the lake! We did some hiking while we were here too. They have an inside pool but it’s getting ready to be renovated so it will be closing soon. They have putt-putt golf and a play area for kids. They have a storybook trail for kids as well. They have two firepit areas with a good amount of seating around them. It was incredibly peaceful and just what we were looking for.

This is a hidden treasure in a state park. Room was very clean & the lobby area is beautiful with chairs & fireplaces. An outdoor porch around the lodge with rocking chairs has a great view of the lake. Fire pits close to the lake.

The perfect place for a weekend getaway. I always spend a week here in the fall; nothing better than a cool crisp autumn morning looking out onto the lake from the lodge. A hidden gem and a place to get away from it all.

Great location. Prices and how busy the park is 100% dependent on the season. Lots of hiking trails, a mid level disc golf course, bike trails and more. I was here in the winter and the place was quiet but still a great place to stay. Food at the lodge was good, service was great. All the staff we ran into were pleasant and helpful. Will definitely return.

My family and I stayed at Burr Oak last weekend and had the BEST time. The cabins were so nice and the ladies at the front desk were GREAT! Thank you for an amazing and memorable trip. Would definitely come back!

Living so close to Burr Oak Lodge we dont come out there to stay but I have seen the rooms and know they are nice! I have stayed at a cabin before and they are beautiful too! Because we live so close we do enjoy going out and having dinner, love going out at holiday times for decorations. Its hard to have too complaints but I do have one! Lights!! There needs to be lights outside! When walking from the front entrance to the parking lot or vise versa at night, or in our case it was 8pm and it was pitch black out! We have been out several times this winter and it is always pitch dark out! My daughter was scared walking to the car. My one and only suggestion to make a trip to Burr Oak a better experience would be to put a few lights outside.

Friendly staff, very comfortable bed, nice room, everything clean, bar open all day until 8pm, great food! Well marked hiking trails, lovely lake view from Lodge. Pool is warm and long enough to swim! Will definitely come back 💕

They allowed me to check in a little bit early, and the room I got was clean. The bathroom was a little cramped with the door opening inwards, but other than that it was good. I liked having very easy access to the deck right outside the window with a good lake view. The pool was well kept and warm enough to be comfortable with the freezing outside temperatures. The second of the Ohio lodges I've stayed with so far.

We stayed in their pet friendly cabins. It's so pretty there and quiet. We will definitely be back. My only complaints are...Anytime we would set our pups food in his bowl and set it on the floor, shortly thereafter, there would be tons of ants! The other little complaint is...the shower does not have shelves to set your soap, shampoo and things on. Other than that it was a lovely place

I went with my friend so she could vote a few weeks ago. The lodge was buzzing with people who were staying there. This is a beautiful place to stay and visit with friends. Went outside on the deck and looked at the lake and it was amazing to look out across the water. I would love to rent a jet ski and play on the water 🌊.

For some fall hiking we had a midweek stay in a lake view room with an adjacent patio. The whole place exceeded our expectations. It seems that some upgrades have been done including paint, bedding, lamps with electrical outlets, and good quality room refrigerator. Bathroom was tiny however a second sink/vanity outside the bathroom was most welcome. Tub/shower area were very clean with no mildew. Lodge dining room provided very good food and service. Breakfast was a buffet that is usually chargeable but was included in a special room package we booked. We would visit again without question.

Plenty of wild life such as white tail deer, rabbits, cardinals, Blue Jays, Red winged blackbirds, great Blue herons, egrets, turtles, several species of butterflies, plenty of fish like bass and carp. Tons of fishing spots, tons of trails, golf course, disc golf course, swimming pools( indoor and outdoor). Plenty of cabins and camping spots. Also have a putt putt golf course of 9 holes, which is free and unlimited play. My Dad, son and I enjoyed ourselves even with the rain. Very friendly staff and plenty of parking.

Excellent room very clean everyone I dealt with was polite and professional.

I haven't stayed there but my sister does when she visits. Had a late lunch there on the 4th, because there weren't any other restaurants open!, and it was very good. A philly steak sub which , a good one, is hard to find here. My dinner experiencew there have also been very good but they can get quite busy. I'm glad they are doing so well. A bit out of the way ...beautiful drive with good roads though.

Beautiful grounds. Campers and workers were friendly as always. We stayed at lot40. Partial shade. Good cell service. Directly beside the camp store. It was busy on Friday and Saturday, but nothing really bad. The lake was nice. Had a big beach, the lodge direct across from beach. With a nice dinning room for dinner and an indoor clean pool. The shower houses were clean. A marina and another lock that can be found from boat or road. Got our stamp for our book and a sticker for our slide out. Thank you Burr Oak Lake for a memorable trip.

Great room and especially great views of the woods and the lake. Excellent staff. Restaurant had really good food. I had fun. Driving the road there. Not for the feint of heart. ;-)

Great weekend getaway with lots of hiking trails and a beautiful lake with plenty of good fishing and also boat rentals. The indoor swimming pool is clean and very nice. Horseback riding and golf are also nearby and well worth mentioning. The on site restaurant has a limited but well put together menu and also a great view of the lake.

Rooms very clean staff was awesome! Close to some great trails for hiking love hanging out at the bar the bartender D was super cool and friendly had a great anniversary trip will definitely be making another trip back!

Only had a 2 day stay and staff was very friendly. When we got to our room the refrigerator was not cooling and went to front desk and within 10 minutes the maintenance man showed up and replaced it. Thank you maintenance man. The food was good and the lake views were great. Will be returning next fall.

Nice clean cabins and hotel , really good food selection and very nice staff. We've stayed here many times and would strongly suggest this place for those looking for getaway by the lake, in the woods to just recharge. Awesome location. Very therapeutic!
