Guilford Lake State Park

Guilford Lake is awesome. This place is the best during the fall and spring when the leaves are coming in or changing colors.

This is a nice little campground with many amenities. The camp sites have power (50 and 30 amp 220V and 20 amp 110V) a fire ring and picnic table. The restroom is well maintained and is kept warm during colder times. The shower was plenty warm enough but not hot enough to burn a child.

There is a playground area and a small boat ramp for lake access. The potable water supply was not yet turned on due to the time we visited (April 8/9) but we knew that before we left home. I actually received a phone call from Ohio DNR to let me know this.

Several campers had their dogs so it is pet friendly.

Really nice campground. Only about 40 sites. Most of them have plenty of shade. The sites are shorter than many of the other State parks I have visited.
The campground is right next to the lake with several sites right next to the lake.
Several docks for those who bring their boats. But for those of us who didn't.. we can use them to fish from!
The camp store has kayaks and paddle boats to rent.
A very small sandy beach is located within the campground for swimming.
The campground is very well maintained and in my opinion the restrooms and shower house were very clean.
This was our first time here, but now we plan to come here allot more often!

My grandsons had so much fun swimming at the beach. It was so nice to be able to shower them in the changing/restrooms. Nice and clean too.

My wife and I like this park a lot. Fishing is good and has a few good spots for Parks on the Air.

I come here every summer. You can camp, boat, fish and swim at Gilford. The lake is huge and has many pavilions, people are friendly and pets are welcome.

My family of four camped here in our small rv. We arrived in the evening and were greeted by the campground host who was friendly and helpful. The campground is very small, but nice. Lots of shade trees and many of the sites are lakefront and have their own docks. There is a small playground and campers beach. It was perfect for our family with two small children. It made it easy to play, swim, fish, boat, and be back at the campsite for meals. It was a very safe, relaxed, and family friendly atmosphere. There is not much in the way of hiking, but it's a perfect little spot to come relax for a night or two.

The park is kept clean and neat, tons of picnic tables at beach and around the lake. Lots of places to fish. Always good people around, multicultural folks all getting along and just enjoying the lake and life. This is my happy place. Be aware there are a lot of geese around so mind your step.

I have visited lake houses here plus the beach, and it is great here. Swimming, culture, boating, and fishing are all a part of the fun. Cozy surroundings next to small towns add several amentities while maintaining needed privacy.

My first camping spot was at Guilford state park. It is a perfect place for peace and quiet. They keep it clean and the employees are great!

Water and beach were clean. Restrooms and showers were well maintained

My girlfriend and i went kayaking and registered our kayaks at the state parks office. The lady at the office was super nice too.

I took my son out to the beach area so many times last summer and I cannot wait to go back! It's always full with children and families. There is unfortunately a lot of goose droppings but that can't really be avoided. The beach is large so there's space for everyone, but not always shade... So bring an umbrella or a canopy if you plan on spending a lot of time here.
