Hoffman Forest MetroPark

Great little walking trails out in nature! Easy to find location with parking available. All trails are easy to locate and well labeled with signs and arrows. Doggies are welcome as long as they are kept leashed, but fair warning they will probably get muddy. Checking out the stones from the old building is pretty cool and kids enjoy it. The steps and wooden walkways are in great shape and well kept. Some areas will still be a bit muddy depending on the recent weather, so plan on boots. No restrooms or port a potty available. Open from dusk till dark all year long. The pics I posted are from early spring. Great walk for kids or those who don’t want a really long walk and don’t mind some steps along the way.

Probably my new favorite metropark in the area. Quiet and not very busy. A few miles of trails too.

A very nice park. We'll maintained trails throughout. All woods, a very pretty stream bordering the North side of the park, with appropriate steps to navigate adjoining hills.
