Great service and food. Tastes just like gramdma used to cook it. Great selections and portions. They also have some PR classic drinks like Malta and coco rico. Great desserts too like flan. Will be back.

Came here twice and liked both foods!!

I had this chicken think in first pic that was delicious. I love their carrot and potato so soft and tasty being cooked in good bouillon. tye Puerto Rican rice is so much different from the one in other restaurants. It’s tasty but not get tired of eating a lot.

My friends had appetizers of the thing that looks like dumplings that was really delicious too. People get it to go all the time while they started doing door dash too.

This is a great place to eat. The food was very tasty and the staff was very nice. I've been back twice more in three weeks because the food was so great.

From the time i entered til the time i left it was a great experience. Customer service with a smile, delicious food, reasonable prices, clean and sanitary, authentic music.... definitely recommend!!!

All my Puerto Rican family stay in Chicago so I haven't tasted Puerto Rican food this good in a very long time. Excellent taste, display, and customer service. Wasn't sure what I wanted the lady offered a special 6 dishes for $12 was perfect to have the opportunity to taste test everything so I'll know what I want next time. Which probably complicated the decision making process even more because everything was delicious...

Went for the first time last Friday. Since we were new, they took the time to explain the different menu options, and also what all the different dishes were. I got the "multi" option and tried a little of everything. It was my first time trying Puerto Rican food and it was amazing! Everything was hot and delicious. The tray was full to the brim with food for about $11. As others have said, everything tastes home cooked. My friend got their Friday special sandwich made with pork but using plantains as the "bread." It looked amazing and he said it was very good. I also tried some of their flan for desert and it was even better than some more expensive restaurants uptown (Olde Madrid.) So good that I'm hoping to go back for lunch again today!

One of the things that I like of this place it's that it's really clean good atmosphere and my favorite dish it's the rice.

Best authentic Puerto Rican food I have ever eaten! My husband is Puerto Rican and agrees. The owner and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and explain in detail every ingredient so you know exactly what your getting. They are also very pleasant and friendly. We are customers for LIFE and highly recommend this place to everyone we know!

What a great addition to the the Racine community! The customer service and food quality speak for themselves. We placed a large carry out order over the phone and the young lady who took our order was very professional and made sure to read back our order to make sure it was correct, which it was when we went to pick it up. We tried a little but it everything on the menu. The portions are very generous to say the least and the food was hot and freshly prepared. Would definitely order/dine at this small family business again. We hope it becomes a Racine staple.

The chicken jibarito sandwich and chicken empanada were excellent! Fresh and local—easy takeout! 🔥

I love their food and the owners are always humbly kind. Ive eaten many items on the menu and you can taste the love and authenticity of each item. I recommend this place if you want something healthy, tasty and worth while. Im glad they are in town and I hope they have lasting success.

I love this place. It's located in the former old dutch ice cream build. The food is phenomenal and authentic Puerto Rican! The empanadas are seasoned and cooked/fried perfectly. Their plates are huge, of the various ones I've tried, the stewed chicken and the pork chops are incredibly tasty. I love the fried plantains, sweet plantains and yuca! Also you gotta go for the Puerto Rican rice! This place has been added to my local restaurant rotation. I'm making myself hungry writing this review.

You will not be disappointed! Freshly prepared and delicious. Staff is extremely friendly. Outdoor tables available. Try the jibarito -- fried plantains in place of bread on the hot sandwich made with flavorful chicken, pork or beef. Outstanding!

My first time here and first time having Puerto Rican food. The Jibarito was AMAZING! I will definitely be back for another. It's going to be hard to try anything else on the menu because I loved it so much. It's very big. Enough to share or have a snack later on. Happy for this addition to Racine's restaurant offerings.

I picked up food from El Gustazo last night, our first time trying this restaurant and it did not disappoint! My wife and I love going to Puerto Rico and the food is a big reason why we keep going back and this restaurant took us back there for the evening! Mind you, I also drove from Kenosha southside of Kenosha to Racine to try this food and will keep making this trip to enjoy the food!

We tried the 6 piece sampler, along with having the trifongo, and it was all outstanding! The pork, the chicken, everything seasoned wonderfully and I'm actually eating some leftovers now for lunch as I type this up, just as good if not better the second day!!!

I would highly recommend this restaurant! Even though we called ahead to pick up, the person at the window was very pleasant and made me feel welcome, everything was packaged up nice for the ride home and it was a pleasure taking a trip back to Puerto Rico last night and we will continue taking these "mini-trips" to sample the food from El Gustazo!

First time I ever visited El Gustazo and it will not be my last. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and plentiful. I ordered the combo platter and could not finish everything. Nothing wrong with leftovers. I highly recommend this place. If you order, be hungry.

We don't eat out often, but El Gustazo's is our top choice when we do! The food is reliably great and portion sizes generous. I also appreciated that they could tell me exactly what ingredients they used as I have food allergies. Great "to-go" home cooking!

EXCELLENT FOOD, and such great customer service! Everyone is always so polite and happy and willing to go out of their way to meet customer expectations and more. I was experiencing issues with doordash and they delivered my food for me. That was above and beyond for me, I will always give them my business.
