Fun little place. If you go to the right, good luck trying to fit any car through the tree! Little smart cars are about the only things that can fit with ease. The drive-thru tree is hollow, so make sure to look up!
If you go to the left, there's cute tree houses with stairs built inside and a drive on log.
The people here are also very nice and have great respect for our veterans.

Natural drive through tree is a tight fit for many cars, but so cool. Ford Edge SUV fit! The tree houses are cool too, great stop with kids. $15 per car fee

It was an amazing experience, more than 3000 years old red wood trunk. There are two other tree houses 🏠, kids climb 🪜 on that to the top heart shaped windows 🪟. Nice location and plenty of parking spots. There is a gift shop/rest room right next door.

Loved it! We were driving a Toyota RAV4 and it fit with plenty of space. We went through twice, once with everyone in the car and once with everyone taking pictures of the car going thru. We had fun exploring the kids play houses ( big enough for adults too) and carved bears were fun photo opportunities. It was $15 per car with up to five people in it. Highly recommended!

Such a fun experience for the kiddos! They really enjoyed driving through the tree and up onto the log! We drive a 2018 Toyota Sequoia and it BARELY fit.
Employee was kind, there wasn’t a long line either (weekday).

Well this is your chance to drive through a drive tree and be able to talk about it after. We went about 6 pm no wait at all. It was 15 per car with less that 5 passengers. There are a few other things to see but it's a really quick stop. Like 10mins maybe. A must do on a 101road trip.

Many people complained about this place. I honestly don't see why. It is a delightful little area and tree, itself, is just as described. They tell you widths and heights before you enter so why complain if your vehicle doesn't fit? Ours fit, as I checked ahead of time and it was quite exciting to drive in. Look up through the top of the tree, touch the inside just by sticking your hand out the window and then driving on out. Loved it. Plus it is nature made with just a touch of help. You paid $10 per car with an optional $3 walk in

I came just to say I drove through a redwood but it was such a fun little stop! Ten bucks and I drove through, and then you can walk around and see some fun tree houses, and if it's not busy go back to walk through the tree! I had a fun little photo shoot with myself and was having a great time.

Neat experience, definitely not bigger vehicle friendly, sign says 7x7 but definitely not. Neat treehouse for the kids and other things around the property. Definitely recommend stopping by.

The Shrine Drive Thru Tree in Myers Flat, California, is a unique and iconic attraction nestled within the stunning Redwood forest of Northern California. What sets this particular tree apart is its sizeable hollowed-out base, which allows vehicles to pass through it. This living tunnel of ancient redwood is a remarkable sight to behold.

As you approach the Shrine Drive Thru Tree, you'll be greeted by the sheer size and grandeur of this giant redwood. Driving through the tree is an exhilarating experience, and it's one of the few places where you can literally "drive through" a living tree. It's not only a fun and memorable activity but also a symbol of the harmonious coexistence of human visitors and the awe-inspiring natural surroundings.

The surroundings of the Shrine Drive Thru Tree are equally captivating, with towering redwoods and lush greenery providing a peaceful and enchanting backdrop. Visitors often stop to take photos and soak in the beauty of the ancient forest.

This attraction is a testament to the enduring allure of California's Redwood Country, offering a chance to experience the magic of these colossal trees up close and personal.

The Shrine Drive Thru Tree is a must see!

We went from San Francisco to the Redwoods and just had to drive through a tree! The Shrine Tree is awesome to see, you just can't describe the experience in words! Just be prepared to go in verrrry slowly, there's not much room! We had a small rental car (a Ford Fusion) and we barely squeezed through!

In the Redwoods these trees never cease to amaze us with what they can withstand, growing and continuing to tower over us through any devastating event, it really made us say "wow!" You should go!

Such a fun little place and only $10 to visit per vehicle! There is a drive thru tree, the cutest most amazing tree houses (I enjoyed them just as much if not more than a child probably would). There is a drive on log and a beautiful cathedral redwood on the property! The gift shop was awesome as well. They have different redwoods that can be purchased to be planted at your own home. Definitely a must see place. Bathrooms and parking are on site.

For $10 at the entrance it was worth the experience to visit this particular Drive-Thru tree. There wasn't a whole lot in artifacts to look at but it is essentially located off of highway 101 going northbound making it easy to find. It is also along the way going through the avenue of the Giants. I get there and it's pretty much nestled against the rest of the trees in Northern California. The Drive-Thru tree itself was a little too narrow for my car and I was barely able to get through it even with my mirrors folded in. If your vehicle is wide do not attempt to go in there. I almost feared my car was going to be stuck in there but I dared to do it anyways only because I know my car. I didn't go into the gift shop to get a souvenir but it was okay with that because I had a different goal and I was going for the North but I have plenty of pictures and the experience itself in my memories. I didn't need much time to spend there but it was worth it. To some people it'll be different and might be able to spend more time than I did since I had another destination to go to.

We stopped at the Shrine Drive Thru Tree in Myers Flat, California. It is just that: a massive tree with a large opening in its trunk that allows you to pass through.

There is a sign posted that says it is a 7 ft x 7 ft opening; drive at your own risk.

We just squeezed through with the help of a really nice family behind us giving directions.

Very cool experience that the whole family enjoyed.

The grounds also have a drive-on log and large wood sculpted houses, which I climbed in with one of my kids.

When else do you get a chance to drive through a tree?

I highly recommend it!

One of several drive-thru trees in northern california. Amazing place for kids. There are places to sit and relax. There's a playground (made of real trees). There's a ramp on a real old tree you can drive up.
If you are in the area, you need to visit this place especially with kids.
