Lazy Bear Cabins

Great location for skiing at wolf creek! We have stayed here two years in a row as a cheaper alternative to staying in Pagosa. The employees at Lazy Bear are very friendly, the cabins are great, and it is only 30 min from Wolf Creek!

Perfect cabin for us to ski Wolf Creek. It was an easy check in when we came in late as it is a electronic lock. No need to wake any staff to get into our room. We all had our own bed for a good night sleep.

I loved staying at lazy Bear cabins in South Fork Colorado so much I extended my stay‼ If I could give Lazy Bear cabins 6 star rating I would. The owners, Scott and Charlotte do a wonderful job of making you feel right at home. And the cabins are clean, reasonable and have all the comforts of home. If you are visiting South Fork and are looking for a great place to stay, this is the one--Lazy Bear Cabins! The cabins are comfortable and the owners are the best! We won't stay anywhere else when we want to visit the Rio Grande National Forest and all the other great places around South Fork! Give Lazy Bear a call and enjoy a comfortable 2-bedroom cabin with all the amenities of home!

I loved our stay here at Lazy Bear 🐻 Staff is friendly and the cabins are more than I expected. Clean and plenty of living space. Perfect for families of 4 people. A much better value than a hotel.

These cabins are super Cute, cozy, and priced great. The service was awesome and I felt very welcome there. When they say they are fully stocked they mean it. A full kitchen with a coffee maker and all the dishes you will need. Everything worked great and just like a hotel they will change all linens and towels if needed. I have never stayed in a cabin so I didnt know what to expect but it was just like a hotel stay but much, much better. In the winter he even makes a little area for kids to sled down but lets you know of the other hills around town you can go to. Kent was so helpful any time we needed anything or had questions. The view from the cabins is great, you walk out of your cabin and see mountains that are so beautiful. The town is small and cute with everything you need, including an ice skating area near the town information center. The ski slopes aren't too far away either along with an amazing mountain drive. Perfect place to stay for a great price.

We did enjoy staying there. The owner was nice and so was his dog. the place was clean. love the two bedrooms. They wash the sheets and hang them outside. It smell clean. Love the Kitchen to. Keith help us of saying where to go to go look at places to see. He was very nice man and his dog to. we just got back home today. we will some year go back there. If some one like to go there. It is very nice place to go. We was very happy how clean it was. I might post some picks of inside to. We did see a live black bear not to fare from cabins. The owner keep asking us if we need towels I say no. we did have a lot there. Very nice place to just be lazy and do nothing. It was a lot of room for two.

This is our 3rd year to stay at Lazy Bear. We would not consider staying any where else. The hospitality that Kent and his dog( Toby) extends is one of a kind. It is very quiet here and the cleanest rooms you will find. Thanks Kent and Toby for making our vacation stay great once again.

We love Lazy Bear cabins! We’ve been going there for the past 6 years and we always make it a yearly tradition to stay there at least twice a year! Very clean cabins and very friendly & helpful owners. Always a great experience!

The cabins were amazing! My family and I stayed for 4 days without a single concern. We had hot water, comfortable beds, and plenty of rooms. The management was accommodative, and provided us with fresh towels every other day. Not to mention, the dog Tobi-Wan Kenobi is one of the sweetest most playful dogs I had the opportunity to play with. If you are looking for a great location, with excellent management, look no further.

I will definitely come back to stay at Lazy Bear Cabins again! Kent is the owner and he is refreshingly trusting, laid-back, and friendly. My husband and I arrived late the evening we were checking in. Kent had turned the heat up for us and left the porch light on and told us we were free to get settled in and we could pay up anytime, rather than having to deal with details the night we arrived. We were so pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and space we found in our cabin. On top of that, it was a cozy space with everything we could have needed for our long weekend. Kent even offered to walk our dogs one day while we were planning on a longer outing away from the cabin. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, affordable home base while staying in South Fork.

I couldn't have been happier with our stay. The owner was very friendly and laid back. The cabin was well stocked and very clean. To top it all off, the rate was very affordable. I have no doubt that we will be back!

Lazy Bear is an amazing place to stay. The people are SUPER nice. The rooms make you feel right at home. I would love to stay here every trip to Colorado!

We came here to rent a jeep in June and decided to stay the night before in a cabin. Cabin was very clean, had everything we needed. Owners were great! We even got a discount on the jeep because we stayed there.
Would rent here again.

Lazy bear is a great group of cabins! The manager Kent is a good hearted guy who makes every visit enjoyable! The rooms and services provided are exceptional! Best place to stay in South fork by far!

I stay here frequently throughout the winter. If you are coming to Wolf Creek you really cannot beat the Lazy Bear. Cabins are clean, warm and very reasonably priced. They have kitchens, 2 bedrooms and could easily sleep a family.
