Clean, friendly, kinda rustic with a nice outside sitting area, spotless bathroom, clean white sheets on a comfy bed. Exactly what’s needed after a day riding in the mountains. Good restaurant next door, liquor, grocery, and convenience store nearby. 👍

Owner was very accommodating. If you have a need just ask. We had some very big asks that were satisfied. The breakfast Is no longer made to order, but a very filling continental breakfast. The kids loved the uniqueness of the resort. Great value for what you get. Bring you own toiletries.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay here! The owners go above and beyond to accommodate anything their guests need. The hot tub was clean and felt amazing after a long day of skiing. The lodge is rustic and provides and unique stay in Colorado.

Love this place! Second time we have stayed at the Spruce Lodge. The young girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Made us feel welcome. Love the view. Had a little excitement this last stay. Left our cooler in the back of the pickup and a small bear helped himself to our lunch meat. 🤗 will be staying there again next year!!

Couldn’t find a room in Pagosa Springs and happened upon this place. Stayed here for a night and loved it. Cute rustic lodge and the staff was awesome! Stayed in room 8 and great view from our screen door. Ate at the Two Rivers restaurant right next door and got some great fishing locations/trip ideas from the Fly Shop right there. Overall great experience. Oh and my kids LOVED Fat Carl the cat.

This Lodge has everything that matters, the 2 star is wrong, who cares if it doesn't have a covering on its out door entry to the upper rooms, who cared that it doesn't have a high maintenance swimming pool. What it does have when you walk thru the front door is CLASS. The rooster out front and the fat black cat out front named Fat Carl are just the tip of the iceburg. When you enter you find the inviting sun room that guests get a generous choice of free breakfast items that can be enjoyed by those guests staying. The interior has a very person able decor that just reminds how things really were before we were enen a twinkle in our parents eyes. The antler table to the moose that can't stop tipping a bottle, you to will find something to remember. The feel of the rooms is awesome. It is the stuffed teddy bear on a night stand and the note that is next to your free water in the room that will make you smile. The owners have a alot on their plates, from rinning a lodge , a awesome breakfast restaurant that not only serves guests but locals alike, running a u haul business and what appears to be a Real estate business that I saw listings for it all the way along 285 north. I will conclude with abother fact. The owners brought a couple of in keeper's from Louisiana and they were given jobs to run this classy establishment, It takes alot to help someone in need during these times. This Lodge is a very reasonable distance from Beaver Creek lake and the Great Sand Dunes National Park.

The Spruce Lodge was great! We hit a deer and were taken there to stay for the night. Not only were the owners kind enough to help us plan for the next day in the wee hours of the morning, but they offered to personally take us to our destination the next day. On top of that they offered gluten free options for breakfast! If you’re looking for a log cabin feel and hospitality, look no further!

We were driving across country and rolled into town very late. After getting ourselves unstuck from some deep snow, we were desperate to find a place to just pull over for the night. We decided to call the spruce lodge to see if they had vacancy. We were pleasantly surprised at the service we received! While we didn’t stay AT the lodge due to no vacancy, the owner was extremely helpful and accommodating and allowed us to park off to the side on the property and set up our pop up trailer. We were so very thankful for the kindness!

Adorable lodge with amazing amenities. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast in the morning had plenty of options like yogurt, eggs, and an onslaught of pastries. The owners of the lodge were also very nice and helpful. They will answer any time of the night with a simple phone call. One of the best places I've stayed in.

Loved this place. The staff was friendly. It was an incredibly home-y place to stay with our kids. They had 2 cats that my kids quickly named and petted. Then in the morning the chickens started roaming and that was a whole other level of awesome for the kids.

Beds were comfy. Cable had plenty of great channels (Disney Channel for the kids!). Rooms were well stocked.

Know before you go that it's a cabin vibe build out into a hotel experience. If you don't dig that, probably find a more conventional hotel.

If you like the down to earth vibe and the cabin feel, you will love this place. Especially with kids.

I stayed in the Cooks Cabin. Aside from no AC which of course is typical for mountain towns and I understand why that is, it was a great stay. The bed was surprisingly comfortable with pillows that were amazing. It was quiet and definitely a nice getaway. The staff is friendly as well.

Wonderful beds! What a good night sleep! Friendly staff and service. Lots of plush towels. Good botanical lotions and shampoo.
Enjoyed the landscaping. There is a barbecue out back.
The continental breakfast had many options and really hit the spot.
Will be back soon!

Cute and rustic place to stay that has a very welcoming and old-timey feel. Pet friendly without exorbitant fees and management were very friendly and attentive. They even personally called us to ask of we needed toiletries replaced when we were away for a day. Scenery is beautiful and the continental breakfast was descent. The owners seemed to be antiaskers, but otherwise the spruce lodge makes a great base for your adventures in and around South Fork.

Such a cute adorable place!! Love the chickens and the cats around. Basic room, clean and super friendly staff. I believe it is a family owned small business. I booked online due to location, and will definitely come again. It's only 18 miles away from Wolf Creek ski resort which makes it very convenient.

This was a great place to stay! It was affordable and clean. The breakfast was filled with a variety of things that even our 3 yrs old like! It's right off the road which made it easy for us to pick-up where we left off. We enjoy animals, although my son has allergies to cats and dogs. The cats were kind of crazy when we arrived, one even got into our truck, yikes!

My stay at Spruce Lodge was thoroughly enjoyable. You couldn't ask for a better view or a more beautiful location. The owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Dee was very accommodating of our late arrival. Plus, the food at the restaurant was delicious! Definitely would stay here again.

My 2nd time staying, my Fiance's 3rd. Rooms are always clean and comfortable, and Carl is the best furry groundskeeper. Always bring quarters to breakfast for him! They have a vending machine full of kitty treats 😻 he's the sweetest.
If you're passing through or staying in the South Fork area, I absolutely recommend booking with them. Inexpensive, comfortable and excellent service every time. The hot tub is a nice touch, too!

Breakfast at the Spruce Lodge is fantastic! Everything is freshly made when you order and the service is great! We've had an extended stay in the RV park and our family has enjoyed getting to know the family that owns the lodge. I highly recommend staying here!
