Arbor House Inn Bed & Breakfast on the River

This was our first stay at a bed & breakfast and I think it will be hard to top! It was the perfect relaxing location. We kept our balcony door open all night so we could listen to the peaceful river. We even caught fish back there too! Laurie makes the most delicious breakfast and the afternoon treats and peach iced tea was a nice touch too! Keith and their daughter Ashley were the sweetest hosts as well! Our room (Chloe’s Corner) was very clean and cozy. Definitely recommend staying here! Can’t wait to come back!

What a gorgeous B&B! The setting on the river is a absolutely beautiful, just on the edge of town, with a Mexican restaurant right across the street. The room we stayed in was decorated really well and felt quite cozy, though a pretty decent sized room. We were lucky enough to be there the morning they served Swedish pancakes which were both amazing in taste and presentation. The hosts are lovely people and a joy to talk to. A perfect place for a weekend getaway, home base for a vacation, or an elopement. Will definitely have to go back again!

This is not your grandmother's B&B! The Arbor House is beautifully decorated and kept, and felt more like a boutique hotel. The location was perfect for a ski weekend away at Wolf Creek and we quite enjoyed being on the "quieter" side of the pass (vs. Pagosa). Nestled along the river with a beautiful backdrop of rock formations, the Arbor House was a peaceful and grounding escape. Keith, Laurie and their daughter, Ashley, were a delight and exactly the type of people you hope to host you. They sent us off Saturday morning with a wonderful to go breakfast so we could hit the slopes early, and we enjoyed a delicious proper sit-down breakfast prior to checkout on Sunday. We loved the robes they provided for hot tub use, and the smart TV was so nice to be able to stream Netflix. Their sweet pup, Tater, is impossible not to love. A great way to spend a romantic weekend away. This B&B is a gem - we hope to come back during the warm months next time for some fishing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Arbor House Inn. Keith and Laurie are the ultimate hosts. The hospitality is 5 star all the way. Fantastic food....breakfast is amazing! The rooms are perfect and the peacefulness of the location cannot be beat! I wish we would have extended our stay for several days and not moved on to other areas. This is a perfect location to stay and then go for day trips to other locations. We enjoyed meeting other amazing couples, especially a great couple that has been staying at Arbor House for 10+ years when they are in Colorado. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family. Highly recommend!

We had our elopement ceremony at Arbor House Inn, best decision ever! The process was so easy and stress free, Keith and Laurie took care of everything. The ceremony took place under a little gazebo right on the river. We also stayed four nights. Our room was beautiful and clean- also right next to the river! Breakfast was to die for; so delicious! Some mornings we had breakfast out on the patio and others we went to the main dining room and enjoyed conversation with the owners and other B&B guests.
Laurie and Keith were so hospitable and welcoming. Beautiful area and and beautiful Inn. We will definitely be back! Thanks for everything!

Our decision to have our elopement wedding at the Arbor House Inn was perfect for us. The area was beautiful and the host and hostess were so easy to coordinate with. We let them know that we were vegan and they exceeded our expectations every morning. The presentation of breakfast was like a high end restaurant... it was delicious and filling.
Our room was really nice too. The candle fireplace was such a nice feature and the spa tub in the room was a treat!!
The ceremony was nice and led by the local officiant. They provided our champagne for toasting... The owners made our reservation for dinner after our ceremony. So basically we just showed up. Their daughter, Ashley, was such a big part as well, and she made us feel very comfortable.

Our second time at Arbor House (the first was 16 years ago!) and we were as delighted now as before. Laurie and Keith are still as welcoming as ever. We had a room with an outside entrance (Rancher's Retreat) making loading/unloading very easy. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the owners' attention to detail is amazing. For example, my windshield scraper was almost useless, but I found theirs hanging on a post just in front of my SUV...nice touch. The gourmet breakfasts were the a high point each day, always delicious.

The Arbor House is a bit magical. Quiet on the river with fabulous hosts. Lori, Keith and Ashley provide an incredible experience with rooms and grounds in excellent shape with just the right touch of elegance. And let's not forget the breakfast. My wife and I are gluten free due to an allergy. They rose above and beyond to give us safe and delicious breakfast. Thank you for a great anniversary weekend.

If you are looking for the average B&B you came to the wrong place. Arbor House B&B is like you jumped into a fairytale garden. The grounds are absolutely stunning (river, lots of sitting areas, tremendous attention to detail) and the owners are just lovely. SUPER clean rooms with love to the details, breakfast is homemade & delicious. They take really good care of dietary restrictions & ask for allergies, absolutely accommodating!

This is our second experience at Arbor House and it won’t be our last. The rooms are all inviting, unique and charming, with a nod to the area. The grounds are also beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, and we watched dozens of hummingbirds as we drank our coffee. A little piece of heaven.

We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary here and it's such a lovely bed and breakfast!
The hosts Laurie and Keith are so friendly that we could've chatted for hours! The breakfasts were so yummy and the views made it extra special! We can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy the river and fly fishing!

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights for our anniversary and a float trip to fish the Rio. Probably one of the most memorable B&Bs I've stayed in. Such a beautiful setting right on the river, with a large patio, porch swing and other riverside seating to enjoy the view. The house is lovely and comfortable, and the breakfast was crazy good. Thank you Keith & Laurie for making our weekend so special!

We cannot stop talking about our trip! My husband and I eloped to Colorado at the Arbor House and we were a little nervous about how it would turn out, since we were traveling from out of state and had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, much less gotten married at one! It was beyond PERFECT! The scenery was so peaceful and quiet, the weather was so comfortable, the room was luxurious. More than anything though, they made us feel like we were in the perfect place for our wedding. Not to mention our photographer Ashlee with Ashography was also more than we ever imagined. People have been drooling over our wedding photos. We will never forget those memories. Breakfast was also incredible! 5 stars doesn't seem high enough for the gift they gave us. ~the Buntons

Absolutely loved staying at the cottage! Perfect for two couples. It was charming, comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and had a well stocked kitchen. The perfect environment to come back to after a long day of skiing. The location is right on the river and although the setting was beautiful with the snow, I am looking forward to returning during the summer months to further enjoy the peace and tranquility of the property. We stayed at the Arbor House for skiing over spring break, and were thrilled with the amenities and location. Driving from South Fork to Wolf Creek is much better than driving from Pagosa.

The hosts at the Arbor House went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home with them. We highly recommend the Arbor House to anyone visiting the South Fork / Wolf Creek area.

My wife and I were so incredibly fortunate to have found the arbor house! We were looking for a sort of luxury elopement, and that is exactly what they offered us. We felt so special on the day of our wedding, and the Brattons went above and beyond and did not miss a single detail on our special day. The food was incredible, the property was gorgeous, and we are counting down the days until we can stay again! we truly have found something special, and we plan to visit the arbor house many many more times!

Arbor Inn Bed and Breakfast - what can we say that has not already been said? All we can do is extoll the virtues of these innkeepers. We found them to be warm, gracious, kind. The breakfast was exemplary and worthy of a fine dining experience. Our room was the Fisherman’s Folly and was just delightful in its decorations and warmth. We enjoyed sitting and swinging by the river and hanging out at the fire pit in the evenings. After a good day of hiking and exploring the hot tub was perfect for relaxing. And let’s not forget sweet Scottie the dog and Elmo the cat - they totally sealed the deal on this awesome getaway.

We just had the most wonderful visit at Arbor House Inn! The property is beautiful, the common spaces are warm and inviting and our room was very comfortable. On top of all that, the hospitality was impeccable, you can tell that a lot of thought goes into making guests feel welcome and comfortable.

The breakfasts were delicious and satisfying (and we're a tough crowd to please when it comes to food!)

During our stay we enjoyed a beautiful evening out by the fire pit with a bottle of wine, and delicious cookies they put out for afternoon snacking.

Another perk is the Mexican restaurant directly across the street, it's some of the best Mexican we've had in a long time.

We've stayed in many beautiful and luxurious places around the world, and this is truly one of our favorites (I would easily compare it to the quality of staying at a Four Seasons). It's a weekend getaway we'll remember for a long time, and can't wait to return!
