Uptown Cafe

What a wonderful place to stop in for a great meal on our way back to Billings. Brandy was our exceptional server. The food was delicious and just the right amount. You’ll want to give this place a try.

Great little restaurant in uptown Butte, fantastic staff, lovely owners and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone here or passing through. They deserve it!

What a gem! Great set meal options, solid but not overdone menu and good wine selection for rural Montana. Everyone was very friendly and the place was well kept. If you looking to have a nice dinner in or around Butte consider Uptown a solid option.

Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The beef wellington was amazing and the duck with huckleberry sauce. The artichokes with crab meat delicious but from the appetizers the favorite was the clams maison.

I don't know about the food. Though, it did smell amazing, I was there to apply for a job even though I didn't get hired the people there were absolutely amazing

I have been dining here since the late 80's. Now my grandson enjoys the experience. He said the salmon was the best he has ever tasted! This is definitely the family favorite for fine dining!

Delicious dinner! Looked at Google reviews to decide on dinner in Butte. We couldn't get thru the pass so had to make an overnight detour. Landed on a local gem. Uptown Cafe was excellent!

Get there early and order fast if you want their delicious beef wellington. It was spectacular! I told the waitress I didn't get my food after i licked my plate clean. The ultimate compliment to the chef!

I absolutely loved this place!!!! Great people, great food. Will definitely come back!

Amazing grain bowl

Haven't tried their dinners now that they have returned to dinner service under new ownership. Yet the lunches are great! It's a quick great lunch meal at an affordable price.

Wonderful service from friendly staff. We had the the Ravioli 4 course dinner. If we let bd nearby it would be our go to dinner house.

I took my mom here for Easter and everything was amazing! Such high quality food. We got the stuffed clams, a beef Wellington and some Cabernet. I’ve also had their Dover Sole which was flakey, buttery and flavorful. A little bit more expensive so I’ve only gone on occasion but definitely one of the top restaurant in Butte!

Uptown Cafe is our favorite restaurant in Butte. Call ahead for reservations, recommended to insure you have a table. They accept walk-ins, but it's usually full and you'll have to wait - but so worth it. Uptown dinner comes with several courses: soup, salad, signature clam appetizer, bread and entree. Great wine selection and outstanding desserts. Early Bird special dinner if you're seated before 6pm. Incredible menu offers a great variety - something special for everyone. Classic fine dining decor with white table cloths featuring rotating artwork by local artists. Service is outstanding. Best restaurant in Butte!

A large group of ladies - 26 to be exact - met last night for dinner at the Uptown Cafe. It was a very pleasant experience. Kinzie, our server, was incredible. She was very professional and polite; not at all stuffy. She really did an amazing job. The other table staff were quick to clear the tables and were also very professional. The little clam appetizers were adorable. I had the chicken in dijon cream sauce. The chicken was very tender and the sauce was quite tasty. The atmosphere is generally "business casual," but jeans are fine too. The Uptown does take reservations, but they did seat a table or two that hadn't called ahead. I have only one complaint, and that is that the gentleman seating guests was wearing cargo shorts and a T-shirt. It seemed as though he hasn't made much of an effort.

This is our go to spot for special dinners. If family is in town, anniversary, or other meaningful event is happening this is our spot. I usually get the duck with huckleberry sauce (love it). My boyfriend really enjoys the beef wellington. We haven't had a bad meal here yet!

We stopped by for lunch. We were a little surprised by the cafeteria style way they handle lunch and almost left. I am so glad we didn't. They offer 2 prepared specialties and a variety of salads.

My husband had a roast beef sandwich on a croissant and a Waldorf salad. He thought they were both amazing. I chose a salad and in spite of being prepared, was very fresh and tasty.

The icing on the cake was the Whoopie Pie. It was the freshest, most delicious Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Sandwich, with cream cheese frosting in the middle. I cannot stress enough how AMAZING this thing was. It is seriously the best thing I've ever eaten!

Everything was spot on. The chef clearly understands food & how to blend flavors together for perfection. The highlight of our brief stop over in Butte!!

I was happy to have the opportunity to dine 3 times here during my 10 days in Montana! The seafood (?) unexpectedly was fantastic and the salad with their very own heirloom tomatoes was killer! Great wine list with modest prices and tempting desserts served by helpful and cheerful servers. Highly recommended!
