This is a very unique shop to stop at when driving through Philipsburg. I thought it was an old ice cream shop that had been there for 100 years or so since the owner Mark uses antique barrel churners, but turns out he built it 6 years ago and is passionate about using them. He even showed us how the barrels worked. Very delicious ice cream and waffle cone too with Montana made ingredients (except for the Madagascar vanilla).

I saw a one star review that mentioned he only has one option of plant based milk. He makes ice cream in a small town shop in Montana. Go back to Los Angeles if that’s the kind of thing you expect these days.

Fantastically delicious homemade icecream that is made by amazingly friendly staff who serve you with the biggest smiles ever. The waffle cones are just as delectable as the icecream! There is plenty of setting inside and out to enjoy your treats!

Loved, loved our visit here. We came on a Saturday afternoon in Feb. There were 10 flavors to choose from, a couple were fresh made. We got a couple of cones and a cup. I loved my Huckleberry and the Cookies and Cream was great too. The kids got to watch the new batch churn. It finished while we were there so we got a fresh sample of vanilla. My toddler thought it was amazing. All made with local ingredients. He also has coffee and a hot dog lunch. We will definitely be back when we come through again.

Amazing ice cream!!! This is a must for anyone who enjoys icecream. The ice cream is made daily in a 1910 drive line which turns wooden freezers. The owners have a degree in ice cream from Penn State. All ingredients are Montana sourced. Delicious.

Love this place! Every flavor of ice cream is delicious, and they make their own waffle cones. Too many delicious flavors to list, but some of our family's favorites are: Cowboy Coffee, Andes Mint Chip, White Lavender, Cookies and Cream, Butte Black Licorice, Hungry Horse Huckleberry, and Peaches and Cream(when this one is on the menu you know it is summertime!).

I cannot think of anything more awesome than seeing the old fashion ice cream making machines moving while I am trying go decide what flavor to get. This is the type of small town experience people dream of. I had the butter brickle ice cream. It was amazing! The cream they use is fresh, the ingredients are all from Montana. This place is what all ice cream places should strive to be.

Amazing house made ice cream, friendly owners, and a super cute pup named Rosebud combine to make a very comfortable dessert stop after any meal or even just an afternoon treat.

This place is a true gem. Extremely friendly people running the place who made us feel like family instantly. I truly don’t care that much about ice cream, but my mind was so blown by their pumpkin pie flavor, we had to come back for scoop two. Everything made on site with Montana ingredients and a whole lotta heart.

This little creamery is new to the scene in P-Burg and a worth stop. Even if it’s past 5pm they may be open as late as 7-7:30 during high season. They have over a dozen different kinds of homemade ice cream. We tried the butter pecan, pistachio and s’more flavors in large bowl for only $4.50! The flavors were on point, the texture silky and it was just the right firmness (not that hard stuff that’s been in the freezer too long)! The owners have ice cream making chops having attended the Penn State University Creamery’s (famous) ice cream making course. They offer espresso and coffee beverages for those looking for a little caffeine zing. It’s just a few doors down from the P-Burg brewery so load kids up with some ice cream to go and take it to the brewery while you enjoy a cold one!
