Tahoe Tavern & Grill

We went to this tavern twice because food was delicious! Salmon was amazing! Meals were sooo big. Good price for quality. I live in Chicago but definitely I want to come back to this Tavern!

Best food in town. We got the salmon fish and chips but substituted for onion rings, beef stew short rib, and gumbo fettuccine.

This restaurant / bar is nestled between some inconspicuous businesses. I was a bit nervous going in as the curb appeal is not good. However, I took a breath and walked in. I was greeted right away, given a table, and someone came right over to take my order. I can’t complain about having such great service by such a friendly person.

The menu was what made me come here. I wanted the steak wedge salad and onion rings. Both were perfectly prepared and tasted awesome. I was definitely happy I ordered them and was perfectly happy.

The check was a bit pricy compared to a regular town, but this is Lake Tahoe so you have to expect a little extra. Check out was easy as they had at the table payment solution.

Overall, a great place to grab a beverage or a bite while visiting or passing through Lake Tahoe!

I feel like destiny intervened to bring me to this place for the meal I had. I tried the $16 special Asiago Stuffed Toasted Gnocchi - I haven’t like gnocchi when I’ve tried it before so it was a risk that definitely paid off! It’s an appetizer sized meal which is why it is less expensive, but it was perfectly sized for me and it was DELICIOUS!! I scraped as much as I could out of the cast iron skillet it came in.
My husband got a ham and pineapple pizza and really enjoyed it as well. We shared the Signature Bread Pudding, which was also very good!

Taylor was so nice and absolutely great!
The business is tucked away behind the Chevron so kind of hard to find but was 100% worth the visit.

We were sat instantly on a Friday night in late August and the atmosphere was poppin.

The carne asada fries were delicious and enough for 4 adults to split.

The Tavern burger was cooked perfect and the Tavern short ribs were delicious!

10/10 recommend this place.

What a great place! The food was excellent and the service was just as good. I had the stort rib sandwich and onion rings. Definitely was messy but worth every napkin I used. If you get a chance check out this place!

Absolutely delicious!
If you get an appetizer, get the cauliflower poppers. Totally unexpected favorite of the meal — so good and the dips just make it better.
We all had sandwiches and make sure you bring your appetite because these sandwiches are huge and packed with flavor.
Service was excellent, the food was fantastic, and I only wish I had room for dessert.

We stopped in for a late lunch mid-week. We chose the spicy corn chowder soup of the day followed by a gluten-free pesto pizza. Lauren(?) our charming server was attentive, funny and committed to a creating a clean and cheerful eating experience for all the patrons there. We got charmed into trying the dessert special (key lime pie with Midori-essenced sauce). We remarked on how the restaurant had a great floor space for parties and dancing. Food =5, Service =5, Value for Money =5. Hats off to the chef for creatively innovating known favorites! Would love to come back for dinner.

Best service and food hands down. I'll go to the beaver but only because the taverns not open all the time. But if I could... the taverns menu never is boring or stagnant. Watching there kitchen work looks Ike a well orchestrated symphony. There friendly, helpful, and truly are great... there chef is amazing and talented beyond description. Iv been honestly holding back my review due to the fact I wanted to enjoy my hole I the wall discovery as long as I could, knowing full well they would be packed nearly every visit soon, and I was right. Go check em out. You will be upset only thst you havnt already.

You can't go wrong eating here. The food is fantastic, Jake has the best service and the drinks are great as well. It's in a great location, they keep is super clean, great local spot. Highly recommend this place.

Enjoyable vibe with spectacular pub food in a clean, bright setting. Host and waitstaff were exceptionally friendly. The buffalo chicken lettuce wraps are divine! Don’t let the humble storefront keep you away - the food, drinks, and people are top shelf!We will return.

Really tasty food with a twist on some known dishes like fish and chips made with Moose Drool beer soaked, crispy salmon. To-die-for dessert bread pudding over Hawaiian sweet rolls with pineapple in a caramel sauce! Excellent, friendly service and great beer choices made for a perfect dinner. For 2 entrees, one dessert and large beer, it was about $100.00 with tip. We'll be back!

This is absolutely one of the best places to visit in south Tahoe. The place has excellent service, they’re always happy to see kids, and the food is phenomenal. The Birria is excellent whether you choose the tacos or the dip. My other favorite would be the gumbo fettuccine. Great restaurant.

The food was really good, and it came out fast just like we asked. The customer service was top notch. Right across the street from where we were sledding which was perfect.

What a great time I had there. The food was delicious, the service was top tier, the atmosphere was right. I was very impressed with their takes on traditional dishes; see the asada fries and gumbo fettuccine. I personally got the short ribs, but I forgot to snap photos. The au jus was on point. Definitely check out the Tavern!

Hidden gem minutes from the main strip. Service was outstanding. And the food was FIRE!!! My wife got a margherita pizza with chicken and I did a build your own with pepperoni sausage pancetta and pineapple. Both pizzas were stellar we finished it off with the churros and ice cream for dessert. If your in South Lake Tahoe definitely check out this place especially if you don’t want to deal with downtown but don’t want to go far.

Recommended by guys on a ski lift. They were not wrong. Best pub food they said. Creative huge hot sandwiches and soup of the day for us. Outstanding. But a wide ranging menu too.

We came across this place while staying in Tahoe for the weekend and could have ordered everything on the menu!! Great vibes in the outdoor seating and really friendly waitress, Jordan. The pizza, herb roasted chicken, and summer melon salad with burrata cheese were fire. Also the shishito peppers, onion rings, and drinks! Thank you!!

Friendly and Exceptional Staff. Great atmosphere. The food was so delicious! Had there special 12oz Rib Eye with asparagus and the amazing Creole Seafood Mac and Cheese. Hopefully they add the Mac to the menu 😋
