Son'z Steakhouse

Really love the Son’z Steakhouse located at the Hyatt Regency Maui. Is an open-air restaurant overlooks the warmly lit lagoon, and lush foliage of the beautiful Swan Court, affording gorgeous view of a waterfall and stunning sunset. We had B&B Ahi which was quite the catch, also some Lobster Ravioli topped with a creamy Citrus Beurre Blanc, and of course some meat for my husband, at this time juicy rock of lamb with grilled asparagus. I certainly can say that this is the place where steak and seafood lovers assemble.

When you first enter into the steakhouse you can just tell you are in for a treat. The view with the waterfalls, the swans, ducks, and ocean is just amazing. The service was very attentive and friendly. I ordered an old fashioned from their great list of spirits but it wasn't great. Past that the food and dessert was phenomenal. I had the tomahawk steak with lobster, tried the rack of lamb, and lobster ravioli. Afterwards finished with the Kona Coffee Cheesecake. All of it was made to perfection!

We had a great dinner at Sonz. Everything was perfect. The open view of the waterfall is very cool.

Our best meal of our entire honeymoon! We received a last minute recommendation from someone we met at our pool hotel and were able to get a next day reservation. The space is just gorgeous. The lamb was delicious. We wished we had more time in our trip so we could enjoy another meal here.

Excellent food! The ambiance was just perfect, dim lights but enough to enjoy the food, we had mangorita cocktail and POG to drink both refreshing. Then we had calamari as a starter very crisp and tasty, added with some truffle fries. My wife had shrimp scampi which she loved and I got slow braised beef which was so tasty and delicious. We ended it with a Lilikoi Cheesecake and that was also delightful, so light yet very good.

Everything was amazing, service, atmosphere. Awesome experience. The food was delicious, I had the filet mignon and my husband had the NY strip, they couldn't have been better. Such a neat place, glad we got to check it out!

Window seat for sunset is the way to go. Ambience, Food and Cocktails were good. Service was great, my waitress was very attentive and friendly

If you’re looking for something more upscale and classy at the Hyatt, this is the spot! The Swan Court breakfast buffet turns into the classy Son’z in the evening. They have a great wine selection. The calamari was crisp and fried perfectly. Oh man, the Filet Mignon was too good, and I even made it into a surf and turf by adding the Lobster Tails on the side! And my husband loved his rack of lamb. Great service and excellent fine dining!

We really loved our dinner at Son's. The view was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and our server, Sean, was terrific. Loved that the molten chocolate cake was gluten-free! Definitely a must visit!

Food was better than expected; we got the filet mignon, mashed potatoes, & spaghetti. Then we ordered hot fudge chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert to top it all off. No complaints really. A bit pricey but it’s also higher end and this is Hawaii, so no big surprise there. Will be returning next time we’re in Maui!

How can we all not love it. The food is extremely good and it's 3 meals a day. Since the hotel opened back up to tourist we have been moved down the way but the food is still the same great people great place. All you can really say about the Hyatt is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! And then some! I don't use the words God bless much. But I'll say God bless the HYATT for stepping up at this time for all of us here in Lahaina. It's called doing the right thing. Just like Oprah, thank you too. And to hell with all those people ( Including people and organizations on the very island itself) that talked down on her and ran all the Billionaires off. The very ones that could've helped us with what we desperately need which is CASH and yeah, I don't know what the prices are at the restaurant but hey, it is the Hyatt. It's true because they won't even take a tip from us. A good thing that is being our number one need has been ruined by a bunch of haters. They should be the ones to provide the tip. The Hyatt runs a tight ship and their whole crew is nothing but........ Yes! All Star. K.

Fantastic dining experience. The ambiance and atmosphere is so cool right on the pond in the gardens. The restaurant is open air with very tall ceilings and a bar off the center. There are lots of trees right outside and the birds are extremely loud as the sun is setting and they are finding a branch to sleep so I recommend going 30 minutes after sunset unless you want to listen to the birds. I got the spaghetti with filet mignon meatballs and my other half got the shrimp scampi and both were just fantastic.

Amazing!!! Wow, the food, the atmosphere, the service. One of the best restraunts I've ever been to. We came here for the last day of our Honeymoon, it was the best meal in Maui, hands down

Reservations were quite easy for booking ahead or even as a walk in. We needed to push our reservation back an hour since we wanted to catch the sunset, and did so with ease. My wife and I are small eaters, able to split a 10oz filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and finishing with the chocolate lava cake. Each dish was great sitting by the water and watching the swans

Dope view. Good service. Solid food.

Of course it’s pricey, but it’s about the view and experience.

Lobster ravioli was the best dish, steaks were cooked well and flavourful.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Maui !! We loved it si much that we went there 2 times for dinner . The view is beautiful, food was delicious and they had excellent wine .

Great service! Good wine selection. Quality meat cooked right - crispy outside, juicy and tender inside. Yummy sides served family style. Beautiful and comfortable ambiance.

Made reservations to have dinner after we got married earlier that day. The setting was perfect with the waterfall and large swans in the background. The food was perfectly cooked and had excellent flavor! We had the Calamri for an appetizer and both had salads which were very large portions and also both had Filet Mignon that were cooked perfectly. The staff was great and brought us out a congratulations desert dish at the end of our meal. The entire staff we interacted with were all so friendly and excited for us.

We could not have chosen a better ending to our perfect day.

Superb service with a spirit of Aloha combined with excellent food. We had Filet Mignon, Shrimp Cocktail, Maui Wowie salad. So tasty and an overall delightful experience.

I truly don’t understand why this place has so many bad reviews. My husband and I visited on our honeymoon last week and everything was fantastic. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, the drinks were great, steaks were AMAZING, and the view was incredible. I highly recommend trying this place out for a nice dinner.
