Working speakeasy. Don't worry, you'll figure out the password quickly enough if your eyes are open.
Once you're inside there's a monitor so you can watch people bumble around trying to get in. Hilarious.

This is such a cool place. Really great environment and full of butte history. The owner was bad tending and was so friendly and easy to talk with. I’m sad we don’t live closer because I would be there all the time! Totally worth the stop!!

We went in a weeknight and were the only people here. Love the ambiance of this place and the cocktails were fantastic as well as the outstanding conversation with the bartenders. What a fun bar!

Really cool atmosphere. In the basement of the Miner's Hotel in Butte's historic district. We went on a weeknight recently and had the entire place to ourselves. Great experience as we were able to chat with the bartender about the history of the building while having a couple cocktails.

The bar is very spacious with plenty of places to either socialize or find a quiet table away from people. The cocktails were nice and the beer / liquor selection was solid.

If we lived in Butte, we would no doubt be regulars and we will always stop in if we drive through town. We talked about staying in the above hotel next time we spend the night in Butte.

1st rate customer service and a cool bar.

This is must see for Butte, MT. This is the best place to get a drink and gather Butte history. The atmosphere is amazing. The drink menu is fabulous!!!

I stayed at the miner’s hotel 4 years ago when it was still partially under construction. We talked with the owners and we’re highly anticipating the opening of Fifty One Below! I’ve had nothing but good time when I’ve gone out and love the pocket door (dial 4 on the rotary to enter into the unknown!) live music and VERY good cocktails. Come on by and check it out for yourself!

Wow so glad we found this place. What a gem. It's a speak easy and you have to figure out how to get in. The people inside can watch you struggle.

The atmosphere of 51 below was amazing! The playing out as a speakeasy was pretty awesome. So much displays of the old Mining City. So much history down here it's crazy!

Very unique setting. An old speakeasy. They had live music tonight. It was my first time here, I was impressed.

Great vibe in this speakeasy. Only had one drink, but it was top notch. Had a great old timey feel with the Frank Sinatra band that was there.
