This place is absolutely 5 star from initial contact to checkout. It was effortless and thoroughly relaxing. The staff exudes a level of knowledge that puts you at ease. The food was fantastic and they were very accommodating. We met numerous people who were on visit 3 and 4 at the ranch and I totally understand why!
I will absolutely be back!

There should be a 6 stars reserved for places like this! Everything was PERFECT! Well worth the price. The activities were amazing. The staff exceeded expectations! They were all knowledgeable, friendly and well spoken. The food was beyond delicious. I have never experienced the beauty and quality were that we did here!

Perhaps our favorite vacation yet. At every interaction, we felt like a priority. I appreciate that employees seemed genuine. Had great conversations on excursions! Never thought I would go ice fishing twice but I LOVED it! We had the opportunity to try many of the winter activities—horse back riding, skiing, snow mobiling, ice fishing, couple’s massage to name a few. The food was better than excellent…It was memorable. I would LOVE to have a cookbook even in an attempt to create their flavors. Every part of this trip was seamless. They have thought of nearly everything…from the scented shower spray to the ever replenished chapstick. This is truly a bucket list location and experience!!!

This is not your average getaway Ranch. This is a team that acts like family and makes sure they can help you have an amazing stay. I do not say this lightly . This is my third stay and I dont stay anywhere twice . This is a magical space when snowing and walking thru the property or riding a snowmobile . From the Pick up to the drop off, from the 3 best meals everyday and willingness to make you comfortable and give you what you like , this place is it . Highly recommended !!!

We just returned from our third stay at RRC, which have all been in December. I feel badly about the negative reviews because we have had just the opposite experiences. I can only assume that they are from peak season experiences. Short of heaven, it would be hard to have a place with that many guests run smoothly all the time without occasional problems. We are in our mid 60s and we are world travelers on a budget. And while it is high in its price point we own a business and have commented that with all the employees it takes to run a resort of that size we can’t imagine RRC’s Total expenses. We take our family in December because it is less expensive and we don’t do presents so this is our Christmas celebration! We rave to people about RRC and say out of all the places we’ve ever stayed it is one of our favorites. And we are very picky!!!
Now, if you don’t like gourmet food (which we do!) I can see that you might not like that aspect. However, I can say that from every aspect that we have experienced, I would give them 10 stars if I could. Going at that time of year, they have always treated us like we were the only guests there. We do a lot of entertaining and I know how hard it is to TRY to achieve that and more. Kudos RRC!

Excellent on every level. Staff was beyond hospitable. Food was amazing. Accommodations rustic but wonderful. Hard to find fault at all. Would love to go back with family or friends after going for work. Do yourself a favor and GO! Get a facial and shoot some clays. Best of both worlds!

Superb service, team, and experience. The best of the best. This was our third visit overall, though first bringing our entire family, so that probably says more than anything.

The BEST vacation my wife and I have EVER been on! Such a unique and different experience. The scenery was breathtaking. The food ( which they were very accommodating) was excellent and varied every day. The rooms were great and very comfortable. The daily activities were awesome and action packed all day! Our first rodeo was exciting and kept us on the edge of our seats. And the staff was absolutely AMAZING! Couldn't say enough great things about each one. We already planned our next Vaca there again same time next year and are counting the days!

We had such an amazing vacation at the Ranch – activities, lodging, and staff were all incredible. We stayed in one of the family canvas cabins and loved being right by the creek and surrounded by nature (note that with the canvas cabins, you do hear some friendly squirrels running on the roof in the early-ish mornings). Staff came and refreshed our rooms twice a day, and the beds were extremely comfortable. For activities, we loved archery (Alexis was fantastic as a guide for both archery and pistols), horseback riding (shout out to McKenna as a great wrangler), and visiting the saloon to bowl and play pool (both Jonathan and Brandon were the best bartenders, and I highly recommend Brandon’s Quick Draw drink). Only activity I’d recommend against is Respite at Rock Creek — we all preferred just relaxing by our rooms, which had much more comfortable spots to sit/lie down and many more options of games/things to do. Food and drinks were all delicious, and we appreciated the rotation of menu options and styles (some buffet, some plated, a tasting menu, etc.). Overall, the Ranch is the perfect balance of relaxing and adventuring, and we very much hope to return again!

We had a glorious stay here. Every person we interacted with was more than courteous, knolageble, and eager to assist us with our every need.
We went snowmobiling on groomed trails our guide took us to the local waterfall. As luck would have it there was about 6inches of fresh snow witch made the surrounding scenery absolutely breathtaking!
The food was absolutely amazing you could taste the live in every bite!
Our dinners came with a wine pairings that are spot on.
Our accommodation (The Loft) was spacious warm and welcoming.
Thank you very much to The Ranch at Rock Creek :)

Context considered, Rock Creek earned their five stars during our stay.

We stayed during what turned out to be a tricky time - for a variety of reasons, staff was stretched very thin. I’m sure it was a daily firefighting mission behind the scenes, but they did their best to make sure we didn’t see any of it. The staff were wearing multiple hats, pulling long shifts, and doing all they could to make our stay an experience of a lifetime. Those folks know who they are and they deserve a heartfelt thanks and commendation.

Our stay was not without challenge, though. Our activity schedules, in particular, needed to be revisited multiple times. We got a questionnaire shortly before we arrived, but it didn’t feel like it had much impact on the activities that were scheduled. We eventually got it mostly sorted, but the amount of brain cycles we spent trying to match interests up with activities and people was a disappointment.

That said, the Ranch is *stunning*. The accommodations are the stuff of dreams. The diversity of available activities on-site is without equal. The food and the accompanying service was a particular high point and “Wow” might not be a strong enough word to describe it. Activities guides went “off-menu” to tailor experiences to their audiences. All hallmarks of a 5 star experience.

All things considered, our experience at Rock Creek was truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of event. In case we never manage to get back, our time at RC will be remembered by the highlights and the people who made it possible. Thanks to all the staff for pulling together and making this happen.

To say this was an experience is an understatement. From having the most epic elopement possible to really taking myself out of my comfort zone and trying so many things I’ve never tried before, it was incredible. Thanks to Marilyn for all her help and Kayden for taking care of us every night! Probably the best and most attentive yet sincerely caring and knowledgeable staff I’ve ever encountered and views that will take your breath away. Honestly the biggest con was the food was TOO good. Props to the owner and his unique vision.

Had an amazing stay at The Ranch. The activities, facilities, and staff were all amazing. My family and I all agreed that it was one of the best vacations we’ve ever been on.

Special thanks to one of our guides Alexis took us pistol and bow/arrow shooting. She gave us lots of helpful instruction that allowed us to enjoy the activities to their fullest.

Our wrangler Makenna took us on an amazing horseback ride. She answered all of our many questions and was a pleasure to talk to.

And two of the bartenders, Brandon and Jonathan, helped make our nights at the Saloon unforgettable. Jonathan knew extensive information about the history of bourbon and Brandon showed us new bartending techniques/drink recipes.

I think future guests would love a nighttime bartending activity and would encourage management to explore adding one.

My husband and I chose the Ranch at Rock Creek to get married and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. From Neil, the driver, picking us up in Missoula and taking us to the courthouse to get our marriage license, to the MORE than accommodating staff which made our wedding day/entire stay perfect - I can’t say enough good things about this place. Completely worth every penny for scenic views, fun outdoor activities, and the best food you’ll ever have. We cannot wait to come back in years to come for our anniversary!

Our kids are 10 and 12 years old and our previous family vacations primarily centered around beach / pool time. My wife and I felt it was time for a change and booked a stay at The Ranch at Rock Creek. Although we only spent 3 nights, we (all four of us) absolutely fell in love. From check in to departure nothing is overlooked. We are an easy going family but value service and attention to detail. Many resorts cater to families and have specific activities for kids but few, if any, show the same level of respect and service to adults along with their children.

We partook in 5 activities, pistols, rifles, horseback, snowmobiling and fat tire biking. The guides during every activity were not only knowledgable but a pleasure to meet and get to know.

The food was fantastic and we made it a point to try all the local offerings including the whiskeys. We were never disappointed (a common theme).

My daughter and wife had tears in their eyes when we left Sunday morning, my son was wearing his newly purchased cowboy hat and I smiled knowing we made the right choice in picking The Ranch at Rock Creek to bring our family together after a difficult year for all.
