My first visit to Hau’ula Beach Park. Turned out to be larger than expected. Park has a covered Pavilion for group events. Reservations are made with the City and County of Honolulu. Pavilion is closed 5AM to 8AM for maintenance. Large grassy areas along the ocean. Not many picnic tables tho.

A quiet beach with less people around. If you want to relax and avoid crowded beaches, this beach is for you :).

Beautiful country beach park away from the hustle and bustle of town. One of the few beach parks on this side of the island which sits back from Kamehameha Highway far enough that you don't have to hear or see the traffic. A large semi-circular reef surrounds the bay and offers amazing snorkeling opportunities weather permitting. The North end of the beach park has more reef and less sand than the South end, but also has a good surf break, the Hauula Bowl, about 200 feet off the shore. The South end is very sandy bottom and deep, perfect for swimming. You can enjoy walking and beach-combing the entire bay with a dramatic backdrop of the Ko'olau mountains. Best thing about this park? Normally no tourists in sight...making Hauula Beach Park a well kept local secret.

Beautiful area to have gatherings with family and friends,,lots of parking.. very safe,,., but the bathroom location is not too great !!!!
