Southside Park

Nice quiet park. Plenty of parking. Playground area with slide and a go around. Couple baseball fields and 2 basketball courts all stuffed in the middle of a nice neighborhood. Clean and very accessible. Bathroom on site but locked most the time.

Nice basketball park. There are 3 different fields. Bleachers are available to sit on or you can bring your chair.

I'm rating 5 stars soley out of nostalgic purposes... But what else do you expect in Martinsville? The death hill on the other side of the playground is amazing to sled down in winter. Just don't try to roll down it during the warmer months. That's how you get covered in fireants and burrs.

Oh yea my boyz enjoy this park they play basketball. We hang out, chill. Play music, eat. I'm so glad Martinsville City finally opened it back up.

It was empty and I took my Great Danes and we went up and played on the hills and rolled in the grass and I taught my dog to go down the slide it was so fun

I had not been there in at least 25 years but everything was just as I remember it and VERY well maintained!!
