Sclafani's New York Bagels and Bread

Wow, I don't know what took me so long to visit Scalfani's! Having spent half my live living in Southern Connecticut and Philly where bagels are absolutely amazing, I've been on the hunt for a decent bagel in the area. Finally found it at Scalfani's!

Best lox and real bagels in a hundred miles!

absolutely LOVE this place!! the food and atmosphere is amazing. i would definitely recommend the sausage egg and cheese on cheddar bagel! everyone is so so welcoming and friendly. 10/10 would recommend!!

One of the best everything bagels I have ever had. Staff was funny and very polite. Coffee was spot on and delicious! I got a sausage egg and cheese on a everything bagel. The sausage was juicy and was a good sized pattie. Definitely gonna come back here

This place is so great. It brings me back to my old stomping grounds in Denver where The Bagel Deli or Einstein Bagels made these nEw York style bagel sandwiches. So happy I found this place!

So my wife is a Brooklyn girl. Born and raised. We've been hunting for authentic NY bagels for so long. We've found a bagel shop on the greater east side of Cleveland and this weekend we're down in VA visiting her family. Her brother tells us about Sclafanis. Immediately we open the yelp app to read the reviews. There wasn't any review under 5. So we knew we had to visit them.

Onto my review, we arrive at the shop, it's close to 11 so we expect it to be busy, and I won't knock them on this because they actually served all of the customers with some great efficiency. They have a pretty nice menu and even serve lunch. The interior is very well put together. They have about 7 or so tables I believe? No booths. Their bagel display is what really draws you even at 11 when some other places may be low on certain bagels, their display was still fully stocked. Nobody will say to you "oh I'm sorry we're out of that right now". Employees are very friendly and it seems genuine, it seems as if they actually enjoy their job which is good.

Now on to the bagel. I ordered a lox on an everything bagel. My wife suggested it because she knows I'm a salmon lover. And, oh, my, God. It was a flavor explosion. The bagel was so fresh. I didn't even need to chew the bagel to get the entire flavor of it. The lox itself was amazing and the veggies on it were so fresh. The sandwich itself wasn't rushed so when I unwrapped it, it didn't fall apart. I could go on and on and on about the bagel itself but I think I'd run out of words.

Overall I would tell any and everyone to come here. Bagel lover or not. My wife says it's definitely an authentic NY bagel shop. And I would take her word for it easily. COME HERE IMMEDIATELY

Quick stop for killer bagel sandwiches! the bacon egg and cheese got me filled and back on the road! My wife's turkey sandwich was stacked, too! Definitely worth the stop and super reasonable prices!

Best NY bagels! Soft on the inside but nice crust on the outside. The don't automatically toast them. Many different flavors of bagels and cream cheese to choose from. Numerous toppings you can add. The even make delicious breakfast sandwiches. The bacon egg & cheese in an everything bagel is amazing. The sesame seed bagel with plain cream cheese and bacon is my favorite. Very generous amount of cream cheese. Great prices, great service!

Coming from NYC it has been hard living here in north dallas and finding some similar NYC plates to ease the craving. When we saw sclafani’s pop up on social media and we knew right away we had to give this a shot! We are foodies and we know bagels and this spot right here is 100% on point ! Chris and his daughter have done a magical job bringing some NYC here to Dallas. Thanks Chris for being so hospitable and giving us some new bagels to try! Purchase 3 dozen to hold us off until we make it back down to get more. If your looking for a bagel spot travel the 30 min and get you some !!!!!!!

First time coming here and it's not just a meal, it's an experience. The scent when you walk in the door smells of fresh breads, the atmosphere is cozy and quaint & the staff are professional and kind. Last but not least, the bagels are some of the best I've ever had. Definitely coming back when I get the chance.

I don't even know where to begin with my review. Hands down they have the best bagels in Winchester and probably the best for over 50 miles. The steak and cheese sub on a bagel at lunch time is mouth watering. I've never had a better bagel sandwich. 🤤

Great food, nice people, and awesome atmosphere with dedication to our armed forces. Kinda small on the inside and they can get busy but it's worth it

Best bagels I have had in a long time! So fresh, flavours are as advertised, staff incredibly patient and friendly. We knew the place was going to be amazing as people were lining up before they opened. 10/10 would recommend!

This. Stuff bussing I'm here right now 😊 and there snapple is very much recommended and I basically recommend everything yall should try the Cuban sandwich it hits different

Went for a late breakfast & each of us ordered a different bagel with different topping. Everyone's order was perfect, with the exception of my daughter's that had TOO MUCH lox! Usually places skimp on the lox, but not here! We'll be back before we head home. Staff was extremely nice & took the time to converse with us as we were eating. Very friendly place!

Amazing!!! The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly and great, and most importantly the bagels were to die for!!! Hands down the best Bagels I have ever had!! I only wish that I lived close enough to come regularly.

Great variety of bagels cooked New York style. Loved everything bagel with ham, egg, and cheese. Friendly staff. It was very popular on the weekends.

The bagels and deli meat are very fresh. It is a bit pricey but all worth it! Great coffee and amazing Thai tee.
