Chamberlain University prepared me for a successful career in Nursing. All of the professors, administrative staff, and support staff were always available to provide the best experience a student can have. Chamberlain is an organized, top-notch university that I am honored to have attended. The school will prepare you for the challenges that come with nursing. All the professors are seasoned nurses that have vast experience to share and equip you as a new nurse. I remember when I went to my first job interview to a nationally known hospital, that is among the 10 top hospitals to work for in the USA, as soon as they knew I graduated from Chamberlain, I was hired over other students that went to other schools. Furthermore, even 3 years post-graduation, Chamberlain continues to be involved to my career making sure I am successful. Graduation is a beautiful event that will mark your life forever. I am truly grateful to Chamberlain for being the university that they are. No regrets, just immense gratitude.

I graduated from chamberlain 2014 with my BSN, and from my many years of experience I feel like chamberlain has prepared me in becoming an excellent nurse in my field. Nursing is a tough job and with the materials they provided to me I was able to excel and learn to critically think. No waiting list, no recommendation letters, just an entry exam. They provided us with mock codes, SIMS labs, check offs on nursing skills, good clinical experiences and so much more. Chamberlain is expensive but it was worth me pursuing my dream. Thank you Chamberlain University.

I don't know why others have left bad reviews about Chamberlain, but my experience was VERY different & I apologize to those that didn't have a good experience. Coming from another nursing school, Chamberlain was a breath of fresh air. The staff is extremely caring and wants you to succeed. The students are also for the most part interested in your success & towards the speciality classes, everyone becomes family. Especially since the class sizes are small. Like any other nursing school, it will be tough and you will have to self teach yourself. But the great thing about Chamberlain is that they have so many resources available you just have to ask! I recently graduated December 2018 and passed NCLEX on my 1st attempt so everything that I am saying is fresh and accurate. At Chamberlain, you are never alone. You just have to also have a go-getter attitude and you will succeed. I will definitely keep recommending Chamberlain! :)

Do you really have to travel to Ohio for clinicals? Because that's what I was told?

One of the things I appreciated about Chamberlain was the instructors and staff that cared and rooted for my success. They were willing to help in any kind of of ways. That kind of support made me push even harder to complete the program successfully. I thank you Chamberlain for believing in me.

Chamberlain isn’t the worst nor the best school in my opinion, there is definitely room for improvement. I did find the changes to the grading system to be very harsh. I will say most of the Professors and staff are very kind and caring and do want to see you succeed. But As I said earlier, there is much needed room for improvements.

Chamberlain University, where do I even begin? Attending Chamberlain Miramar was quite a ride for me. When I first started in September 2017 everything seemed so perfect. I thought I was going to see myself graduating in December 2019. I was wrong. In the beginning, classes started off so simple with Intro to nursing, then it gradually started to get harder as I went off into Patho, Pharm, Fundamentals and lastly Med Surg. That’s where I failed miserably. You are only given one chance to fail a class and after that you get drop-kicked out of the program. On my part, I failed Fundamentals 2 and Med Surg 1. My Professors were nice, but with the way they formulated their exams, the way they taught, didn’t listen, didn’t make me feel confident in my academics and misguided me led me to my failure. I get it, nursing school isn’t easy, but no student should have ever felt the way that I did. Whenever I’d have a problem, I would go to the student academic success center and not get the help that I needed. The girls at the desk would just sit and worry about their own assignments. I even would ask for study questions and I was told that I needed to do the whole packet by myself before I could get the answer key. Even then I had to review it all on my own. This whole place made me feel like I was all alone. Tutoring sessions, sitting with the Dean and even my own Professor wouldn’t help. The tutoring wouldn’t even correlate with just how difficult and in-depth exams would be. I just wished that I got a little bit more help, correct guidance and understanding. If so, I would’ve still been attending. At least I felt like the admissions/student counselors cared a lot with whatever I needed for the most part, despite them ignoring my calls at times. Other than that, they were always changing up the curriculum as well. Sometimes, they’d bombard us with way too many things to do at one time. 8 weeks for an entire course loaded with reading assignments, papers, 12-hour clinicals and frequent exams is enough to send someone into a mental breakdown and a depressive state of mind. Forget your family, your job and personal life with self-care because this school won’t let you even breathe. Also, after my second failure (Fundamentals 2 being first, then Med Surg 1) I had to say my goodbyes. I didn’t even want to follow through with an appeal to get back into the program because I’d have to have waited 6 weeks before I could have my voice be heard, and then yet still continue to miss another semester or two before getting re-admitted. Mental health means nothing to this staff in this school. But only the strong can survive. Graduating here isn’t impossible, but get ready to go through hell, hardships, pressure and being left to fend for yourself.
