The food is consistent and good. Drink refills can be a bit slow sometimes and depending on the events going on it can affect them service times. It's still a good place to go socialize and hang with friends. Prices are reasonable.

One of the first restaurants where I ate when I moved to Martinsville. Friendly atmosphere, good food, and good service. I went on a Friday night with three other people.

We expected, well, our expectations are irrelevant. This place is great! Warm, casual atmosphere and a friendly wait staff, not quite sports bar and not all restaurant but a blend of the two. Wanna grab a drink and snacks while you catch a game? Perfect. Wanna have a good meal and conversation in a quiet corner? This is the place. My wife must eat keto and the kitchen was very accommodating. We'll be back!

First visit. Wanted to try something new so picked this place. Was a little skeptical since it was presented more along a bad scene, but their online menu has a kids section. Location, atmosphere, and food was awesome. Can't believe I almost passed this place up. Will be going back again next time we're in Martinsville!

I moved to Martinsville about three years ago and this is hands down my favorite place to eat ALWAYS friendly service and delicious food!!! there are so many different options so if ur in the mood for some serious comfort food or maybe jus a salad they have u covered💯💯💯💯💯BTW they have fettuccine Alfredo, in my opinion way better than Olive Garden it’s the best I’ve ever had I highly recommend🥰🥰🥰

Brought my grandmother and aunt here whos visiting from SC and we all loved the food. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. It's decorated really cute for the holidays.

The fried catfish was AMAZING!! Best I have had in years!! Cole slaw and hush puppies were equally awesome, as were the mashed taters. A nice pale ale helped wash it all down. Rhonda is the best waitress. Will definitely be on the go-to list!!

Had a great plate of fried catfish here! Lightly battered, hot, tender, and tasty. The fries were seasoned and the coleslaw was very tasty. Service was good and everyone was friendly to talk to.

I had the prime rib sandwich and would give it 4 out of 5. A friend of mine that ate with me yesterday said the Curry chicken dish was the best he ever had. The portions are large here and the service is great. About a 25 minute wait for the food but it was done well. We hit this spot after visiting Uptown Pinball which just opened a block or so away from Hugo's.

Awesome food and great service. Visiting from Jacksonville, the owner greeted us and checked in on us. Very friendly and caring. I'll stop by here every visit from now on

Recommended! Jerome at the Natural History museum recommended Hugo's after we asked for dining suggestion .our party of three were very pleased w the food .BBQ ribs plate. Spicy wings and Asian chicken wrap .The Hugo chips were AWESOME. I made the mistake of offering a chip to my companions and had to fight off their wandering hands trying to sneak more off my plate . Great service and friendly atmosphere .I don't understand the posted dress code. what's so bad about a hooded sweatshirt or white t shirt or backward cap? No problem for us old folks but could put off younger crowd .

Came for lunch with relatives. Hostess was very friendly and accommodating. Tried the fried catfish. Very yummy and huge portion plus two sides included for only $6.99. If you are are not a huge eater this is big enough to split with someone.

So good..I had the pork loin, mashed potatoes and green beans.. Wednesday is some sort of special day, so the meal is only $5.00 and includes drink and you choice of rolls, cornbread or hush puppies.. It was great!!
