Do not listen to some of these reviews. I have been going to Dr. Dietrich for nearly 30 years and my whole family much longer, now my 5 year old goes. He’s one of THE best and knows what he’s talking about and very compassionate. He has even come in on a weekend to give my mother a root canal. It takes a while to get in initially because they are that good, but once you’re in and stick with your appts it’s not a crazy wait. They have always worked with me on payments and scheduling. 10/10 recommend!!

This office is always professional as well as friendly. I have complete trust in Dr Dietrich’s skills and I am comfortable being a patient in his office

Although a patient of Dr. Dietrich for many years, and he was one of the most gentle dentist I've had in my 76 years. He used more advanced modern methods and was a pleasant person.

However... I had an abscess and taking antibiotics before treatment when a family emergency (96 year old mother fell and hospitalized) required me to travel to VA Beach. My pills ran out while there so I called for a refill. The lady at the desk said I couldn't get a refill without a visit. I explained the situation and she rudely said, "I'll ask the doctor but he will say the same thing". She returned my call minutes later and said the doctor would not refill without a visit.

On a previous visit, months before, he did work that was unnecessary and cost me much more than my insurance paid. I've had excellent coverage for over 50 years and that has never happened before.

It was like the doctor wanted me to leave his practice. I never gave reason for it but maybe he had to make room for another preferred patient. I haven't been back. Too bad because I liked him. William Gallop, Stuart VA.

I would love to be able to give Dr. Dietrich 5 stars, because he truly is one of the best dentists I've ever been to, however, his office staff make that very hard. The receptionist is very abrasive (and that's putting it a nice way) and it is hard to get an appointment that isn't a month away even when you're in pain. I called to get an estimate on work that Dr. Dietrich had suggested I have done, spoke with Becky who wasn't very friendly, but stated she'd call my insurance and let me know (as I do not know the correct terminology or billing codes to accurately request a quote), two months later I still haven't heard from her. Again, Dr. Dietrich is wonderful and so are his assistants, but with the office staff being the first people you meet when you walk through the door and who you interact with when you call in, it makes it hard to continue being a patient here. First impressions are everything and they have a lot of work to do!

The Dentist is nice enough it’s the receptionist that I have an issue with. My whole family use to go to Dr. Dietrich as I said he’s nice enough, he’s gentle. The problem is when you make an appointment a week prior to your appointment they call you at least five times a day and if you don’t answer they reach out to your relatives. In this case they called my father while he was at work. Now I’m a 27year old I think it’s pretty inappropriate to call my dad about a DENTIST APPOINTMENT. I’ll never use this Dr again for those reasons alone. Unless he fires his snarky annoying receptionist my teeth will be taken elsewhere.
