Awesome place! The coaches are nice, helpful, and passionate about Jiu-Jitsu. The community is very welcoming and fun, you can find friends immediately. The gym is clean and organized.

We have been members for a couple years. We have also experienced other gyms in other cities. The Winchester Jiu Jitsu Academy is very family friendly with great kids coaches. They promote fundamental BJJ and encourage kids to compete in local competitions where coaches volunteer their time to help the kids grow.

For adults, the coaches and team of practitioners maintain a positive environment. There is always something new to learn and plenty of physical fitness. Whether you’re looking to get in shape, learn BJJ and become a more skilled fighter, or if you just want to do it for fun, you’ll find a spot at this gym.

Their schedule has classes during the day, in the evenings, and on Saturday. All of the instructors are inviting and professional. If you’re on the fence or not sure your fitness level is up to par, you’re wrong and you should at least give a free trial period a chance to test the waters

I can't say enough great things about Winchester Jiu Jitsu Academy. The staff and instructors are top-notch. I attend classes, and so do both of my sons. The difference in their attitudes, self-control, physical strength, and confidence has increased exponentially since we joined last July. Plus, I'm getting in much better shape! I am looking forward to many more years of BJJ growth with Winchester Jiu Jitsu Academy.

Winchester JJ academy has been a life changer. The coaching and the atmosphere are friendly, inviting, but more importantly, knowledgeable. It has been a great 8 months training here. All my team mates are awesome!!!

My son started training at WJJA in late 2020 at 4 years old and is still training 3-4 days a week. The coaching staff is great with the kids and they provide excellent instruction in Jiu Jitsu, personal accountability, and respect. I have nothing but good things to say about this academy and the folks who work there.

I travel nonstop. I’ve trained at over 20 jiu jitsu academies this year alone. Winchester Jiu jitsu academy is a tough place to beat. They really have everything; great central location, fantastic (and clean) mat space, caring instructors, great training partners, convenient class times, exemplary attitude, and supportive community. The place is a gem.
If I lived anywhere within an hour of Winchester I’d make the drive to train here.

This is the best jiu jitsu gym around. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and treats visitors like they are part of the family. Safety and sanitation is a top priority. So much knowledge available from all of the instructors. 100% worth trying out the free trial you get.

Our son has been attending for a few months now. All of the instructors are great, the classes are fun, the free trial was nice to make sure our son was interested, and the pricing is reasonable. We highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it.

Cannot say enough positive things about our experience at Winchester Jiu Jitsu! My family and I have had the opportunity to work with and train under their excellent coaches and staff for about 4 years now. From the moment you walk in the door, you're greeted with professional and friendly faces that welcome you with very positive energy. As an older female, it can be intimidating to walk into a gym/sport that is male dominated, but I have always felt safe and supported by all the coaches at this gym. It's great to see more females joining the gym, which is testament to the safe and welcoming environment here.

I would highly recommend this gym to anyone that is interested in training jiu jitsu, or curious and want to try something new. They have an amazing kids program as well! It's never too late to challenge yourself and try something new!

I can not say enough good things about The Winchester Jiu Jitsu academy. My wife and I signed up about three months ago, and it has been a positive experience the whole way. The staff and instructors are second to none. Very friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. The members are also a great group of people. Everyone's very helpful, and encouraging. It's a nice, laid back atmosphere.

Throughout my life I have had a passion for Martial Arts, from taking Karate for eight years to five years in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program I had a desire to learn more. The Winchester Jiu Jitsu Academy has allowed me to continue better myself in nearly every way.

The camaraderie within the Academy is something that I haven't seen since my time in the Marine Corps. Every person I have interacted with in the academy has been extremely friendly and willing to help improve each other. Each person has varying levels of experience and with every passing day I have found myself learning from every person.

I would highly recommend the academy to any person who has a passion to better themselves, a passion for Martial Arts, and people who are simply curious about Jiu Jitsu. The Winchester Jiu Jitsu Academy has improved me both mentally and physically and after your seven day trial you will, without a doubt, want to continue.

I've been to six different BJJ gyms during my nearly-three-year journey, all because of various work and geographical circumstances, and this one is easily the best. The instructors, Jeff, Bob, and Nate, are top tier, and when Tony Passos himself, or another of his black belts, Josh, shows up, you're in for a real treat.

Extremely knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and the team here is full of talent and good will. Easily recommended for anyone interested in any of the training they provide.

Winchester Jiu Jitsu has a great children’s program that starts at age 3 and can accommodate any skill level. As far as the adult programs an entry level fundamentals class will help you start your journey while intermediate and advance classes will keep every belt level challenged. Great programs, instructors, and members makes this the only gym in the Valley to train.

I love Winchester BJJ! The instructors are incredible, and very welcoming. I'm always apprehensive walking into a new gym (damn you, introversion!), but this place has a family atmosphere and I always felt right at home. I learned a ton, and met great friends. Absolutely recommend.

UPDATE: we are still here six years later. The coaching is still phenomenal. The skills taught are invaluable. Great family atmosphere where all are welcomed and bonded through the shared experiences of challenging situations on and off the mat. I couldn’t be more happy with how this place has helped shape my two young boys in so many ways.

Lucas and Jaxon have been in the Kids MMA class 2x per week since November 2017. They love coach Tom and Steve and look forward to learning new things every class. The coaches are patient and attentive and we couldn’t ask for a better gym to have our boys learn such a valuable and far reaching skill.
