Absolutely STELLAR in all ways... atmosphere is superb, food is so good, from the soup to the scones to the meticulously crafted tea sandwiches... service was terrific! The Tea Cart is the quintessential location for your bridal shower or other special event! Choose the Royal Ascot service and you won't be disappointed!

This was an absolute delight. The food is homemade in house -- from the croissants to the soups. This is a woman-owned business, and she is there pouring tea and paying attention to every detail. We went with three generations of women in our family and would highly recommend it. We had five pots of tea and took a leisurely 2 hours!

The environment was so nice, and each room has a unique color and feel to it! The staff was so friendly and helpful, and incredibly accommodating with my food allergies. So many different kinds of tea, and the few I tried were all delicious! All the food courses were very tasty, and the Earl Grey cookies with buttercream icing were fabulous.

We celebrated my father’s 86th birthday, at his request, at The Tea Cart in Winchester. Such a lovely location and great selection of delectables and teas! We’ll be back!

We visited The Tea Cart for an afternoon tea as a belated Valentine's Day celebration. The tea and food were delicious, our waitress Jen was incredibly sweet and hospitable, and the house is gorgeous. We're already planning to come back to bring other family and friends. It's a hike from Alexandria but worth it and you can make a day of it in historic Winchester.

The atmosphere is what makes this establishment so nice. If the service was just a bit more friendly, then it would've been perfect. The food isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea! 🍵 If you're a tea connoisseur with deep pockets, then you'll love this place. You can sit indoors at a beautifully decorated table or in the warmer months, outside under an umbrella table. My daughter and I loved it. One complaint is the server sat our party of 2 at a table and then 1 customer comes in and out of all the places to sit her, she seated her right beside us. It was very uncomfortable, actually. Heads up, next time when you have an entire dining room open, set the other party on the opposite side for privacy and space. I didn't want to make a huge deal over a hair in the cucumber sandwich, so please make the chef uses a hair net or pulls hair back for proper hygeine. Thank you.

I had an exceptional birthday experience here with a mixed gender crowd! Everyone enjoyed each course and it was a lot of fun.

Wonderful experience. Our server, Bevin was fantastic, and very attentive without being intrusive. Everything from the scones to the desserts, were an absolute triumph of flavor. Thank you so much for creating what will become a very fond memory.

This location is very pleasant. The food is really good. I didn't look at the rooms upstairs, but I understand they are really nice too.

This is a really beautiful tea room with a wonderful and friendly vibe! It was a tad chilly though and I ended up wish I had another layer. The server was pleasant, and attentive! I do think the quality of the food could have been a little better. The scones were fresh. The selection of sandwiches was varied and yummy, but the bread was a bit stale on a few of them. The two desert bites were fresh, and the shortbread cookie was good! I did just have the opportunity to go to a tea room in the UK, so I am probably unfairly comparing the two. I do think there is some room for improvement here, but I would both return and recommend! By far, it’s the nicest tea room in the greater NOVA area.
