Come here for the Raw Bar Happy hour during the week! Hands down best bang for your buck. With craft cocktails and wine options. Got the broiled Rockefeller Oysters and the $1 Oysters on the half shell. Even have .75 Old Bay wings! Service is always prompt and friendly.. Angela always takes great care of us!

A last minute Wednesday night dinner at Village Square turned out as a spectacular decision. At first we had doubts when we asked the hostess if we could sit on the opposite side from the bar (South side of the restaurant) and she wasn’t sure and was confused.
Once seated the magic started. The Chardonnay was spot on, my Wife had the butternut squash and apple soup and then the had the Seared Scallops and said they were the best she had ever had (and she has had scallops at a lot of great restaurants). I had the mahi tacos and they were excellent along with the sweet potato fries. The HIGHLIGHT of the evening was dessert (which we rarely order but our server Jeffrey said it was epic) so we split the strawberry short cake!! It has to be the BEST strawberry short cake in America.
The setting was great and historic in a building built around 1800. Highly recommend the scallops and do not visit Winchester and miss the Strawberry Shortcake (you can thank me later because it is not like any you have ever tasted)!!!

I went to Village Square on the Saturday before Halloween by myself on a warmish evening and had a great time. I was quickly seated outside at a nice table where I could see everyone wearing costumes on the walking mall. My steak was great, and the waiter was attentive! A great evening overall!

The Village Square is one of the best restaurants in Winchester. Food and service are consistently top notch. My wife and I had a great Friday night dinner and drinks as always but it was the very knowledgeable and attentive service that prompted me to write a review. It's obvious most places that service has been deteriorating but Village Square continues to maintain high standards.

I joined friends for a special menu and tequila-tasting event. This was incredible!!!!! I seriously can't use enough exclamation marks to describe it. It was so well put together, the chef and tequila representative gave such a wonderful explanation of what we were tasting and a little history too.

The food seriously was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I hope they do more of these events and I will be a regular now.

I reviewed this place several years ago and was not impressed. After my return visit the other night I had to delete that old review and update it so you all will visit and love it. The scallops were my favorite!! Oh, and the dessert of course! 😋

Impressively creative menu, so many delicious sounding gluten free options it was hard to choose. Had the salmon with spaghetti squash that was incredibly flavorful and delicious. My husband had the filet which was tender and delicious, best he's had in a long while.The cocktails are creative too, I had "blood and smoke" it was absolutely delicious! Wait staff is friendly and on it and the atmosphere is cozy. There was nothing I didn't like, wish I lived in Winchester so I could try the whole menu! Highly recommend!

Everything was excellent. Get the general tso's shrimp, really perfect amount of heat and crunch!

Always a great experience. A great choice in Winchester for a fresh and creative meal. The menu and its ingredients rotate based on the season and blends flavors to form the perfect foods! We started out with their homemade biscuits, which are truly the best I've had (coming from a carb lover). The chophouse salad was fresh and perfectly dressed. The cod goujons was fried to perfection, and aside from being perfectly seasoned, the preserved lemon tartar sauce that accompanied it was amazing! The scallops were also amazing, and I'm still obsessed with the succotash and sundried tomato/chimoy sauce!! The staff is always very helpful, punctual, and friendly. Everyone was very attentive and always making sure we had enough water and dishes were cleared immediately. Their attention to great service is truly superb. Ambiance is quaint and rustic with elegance. Perfect for date night! Highly recommend to try at least once (though trust me, it'll turn into numerous occasions)!

We loved the place. Perfect service (low-key and professional), great food, pleasant, intimate little nook at the back. The mushroom soup is DELICIOUS. The hamburger meat is tasty and grilled to perfection. The filet mignon cheesecake is delicious and meaty. The cocktail l ordered (Blood orange) was refined, fresh, and the alcohol taste was just right.
We'll be back!

Overall we had a good dinner here. Walked in on a Friday evening and were sat immediately. There is very nice outdoor seating and the inside is large and clean. My husband had some cocktails, they were ok, nothing super special, but good. We both had the pumpkin ravioli which was very good. We each got a dessert, the caramelized bananas on the cheesecake were unbelievable and my husband enjoyed the most legit personal sized baked Alaska I have ever seen. Not the most amazing meal in the world and a little over priced, but it was good and the service was great.

I always have a pleasant experience here. The service was fantastic! The happy hour menu never disappoints.

Lexi was attentive and pleasant. We started with the Appalachian dipping plate(would go back for); we both had the NC blackened shrimp for dinner(the risotto is a little tight, but the flavor absolutely made up for it). I had the banana foster cheesecake for dessert and the chefs salt game is on point; the graham cracker crust served as an excellent counter point to the sweet of the cheesecake.

This place is our new go to date night spot. The NY Strip was delicious!! Also the Chicken with gnocchi is so underrated but one of the best dishes i’ve had in Winchester. The bread and butter is so yummy, and great shrimp appetizer. Would definitely recommend for any special occasion. It’s expensive, but totally worth every penny!

Don't know why this wouldn't get five stars. Excellent food and cocktails! Wonderful oysters. Service is up and down but usually only suffers during busy times. Amazing place to eat!

The first time here, our waiter was amazing and attentive. My husband loved his burger and was thrilled with the amount of blue cheese on it! Will definitely be back.

Some of the best food in Winchester! Usually rotate their menu, so they have new options pretty regularly. Will always get the strawberry shortcake for dessert! Best in town!! Prices are definitely worth it and the staff is amazing!
