Love, love, love this place! Excellent owners and wait staff. The food is amazing! Huge selection of dishes. Excellent sangria and many other drink options. Their deserts are super fresh and to die for, especially the chocolate cake and passion fruit cheesecake! We are so lucky to have this place close to us. We’ve had a few birthdays here with a lot of people, and every single person loved it. Looking forward to our next time!

What a pleasant discovery. We ate here because it was walking distance to our Airbnb. So glad we did. First of all, our server was excellent. She was friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humour. Our group of 3 had margaritas, a sangria, a fish dish with a standout delicious yellow creamy spicy sauce, a “land and sea” dish with tostones, a shrimp ceviche, and a flan. Sorry I don’t remember the actual names. Food came quickly, good portions and all really well cooked. I wish we discovered this place sooner so we could try more dishes. Forgot to take photos of the other dishes. The fish with yellow sauce is a must order!

Family of 5. We went 2 days in a row for dinner. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. So good!

The food here is absolutely delicious. Coupled with the great ambience and friendly service, it's a winner. My 8-year old daughter and I popped in on a Sunday afternoon and we left very pleased. She ordered the chicken fingers, which were freshly-made and delicious. I ordered an appetizer that I cannot pronounce, but it was unique and tasty. For my main, I ordered the Mero mixed with other seafood and it was absolutely incredible. I will definitely be back.

11 of us met up for dinner and we all order something different. EVERYTHING was delicious. My mom said we are coming back for her birthday.

Delicious, fresh Peruvian food. Beautiful restaurant and great service. We've been a few times and have never had a bad meal. The ceviche is one of the best I've ever had! Would absolutely recommend and look forward to going back.

I stopped by yesterday for an early dinner, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The service was incredibly- ask for Gabby. She was full of menu knowledge, hospitable, and made sure all our food came out promptly. We ordered the ceviche trio. It was filled with soft and tender fish, bug juicy shrimp and delicious calamari. We also had the filet mignon pasta, and it was to die for. If you’re in the area stop by and check out this little hidden gem.

I have been going to Salimar every few months for a couple years now, and I regularly order from them on Uber eats. My order is always correct, and the food is fantastic. The food is always beautifully plated and prompt, and the service is excellent every time. I've tried a good portion of the offerings on their menu, in addition to their pisco cocktails. I honestly don't think you can go wrong here, they are just consistently great.

Great place! I've been looking for a good Ceviche/Peruvian place in FTL and this one definitely earned the 5 stars. Great flavor in everything we tried. Staff super friendly! Definitely will come back and recommend to others. I ate the ceviche too fast that didn't even take the picture but the Salimar ceviche had the most flavor out of the sampler we had.

Let me tell you about this joint I went to last Friday night. It's this Peruvian joint on Sunrise, Salimar. Not our first time there, we knew about their great food, but the way they changed this place surprised the hell outta us.

First things first, the decor. What the fungus?? They must've hired some fancy shmancy designer 'cause the joint looked like it belonged in one of those high-class magazines. I mean, I almost felt like I was in some swanky joint in Brickell or somethin'. The place was all decked out with elegant furnishings, dim lighting, and some artsy fartsy Peruvian Stuff on the walls. It was a real class act.

Now, here's the part that blew my mind. The joint wasn't even packed! I mean, what the fuhgeddaboudit? How could a place this good not be overrun with people? But hey, that just meant we got the VIP treatment. Our Waitress, Gabi, was the best.

Food? off the charts. They served up all these authentic Peruvian dishes that were like nothin' I ever tasted before. We started off with some Pulpo (Octopus), fresh as can be. Then we dove into some tacu lomo and Tacu Mariscos , which was a mouthwatering mix of tender beef, onions, and tomatoes, all stir-fried to perfection, and then the seafood version.

This was my first time having Peruvian food. I will definitely be going back. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The food and drinks are delicious, fresh, and fulfilling. The staff was so kind, we had about three or four different serves asking us how we were doing all the time. It was nice to know that they cared about our experience. I would definitely go back to try other dishes.

Salimar is a quaint ceviche spot in Oakland Park, and let me tell you… the food is amazing. Perfect flavors, clean and fresh food, and an amazing ambiance. I truly had the best waitress, Monica, who was super attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. 10/10 highly recommended.

A real taste of Peru! Nice (and patient) waiter, godd ceviche (we had the huarique mixto), perfect fried snapper (not too salty, not oily). The octopus was good although slightly stiff and not very generous. The pisco sour and the chicha morada were delicious.

The food was delicious. Excellent service. We sat outside but through the window you can appreciate the cleanliness of the place. 100% recommended.

Food is the best so far—really. Servers are respectful. The chef comes out to check on you and get feedback on the food which is always delicious anyways—very affordable. My server was this Portuguese guy and he’s phenomenal. My experience here is simply amazing.

Lomo saltado was amazing, with plenty of sauce and soft meat. I also recommend Tostones Panka they were amazing!! 😋

First time there. Really nice restaurant. Nice decor and they were playing nice Spanish music. Met a friend for dinner. A few people were there and all the staff were wearing a mask. There are many varieties of drinks, wines and Sangria. I had a glass of Red Wine n my friend had a nice Sangria. We ordered the “Mar y Tierra”. The beef was awesome. It include shrimp and tostones. They were also very good. We also ordered the ceviche Classico. Equally delicious. To finish up with a sweet taste we ordered the Lucuma Cheesecake. It was perfect, not too sweet. In case your not familiar with Lucuma it looks like a mango and it tastes creamy. You definitely need to try it. See the photos for reference.
