I am late posting this review, because life just happens, but I must say, I absolutely loved my braids. She took me as a last-minute appointment with no hesitation. When I say absolutely the sweetest person. My hair was complete within three hours. I arrived at 3:30 for my appointment and was done by 6:30. I drove all the way from Montgomery, Alabama and will definitely go back again!

I had an appointment this morning @8 , I was seen immediately, very professional and polite I would definitely recommend YK braiding. I will definitely return my hair turned out great (medium knotless box braids). My appointment lasted 2 1/2 hours tops. Love the fast service and my hair is nice and neat.

My medium knotless braids are nothing less than beautiful. I absolutely love them. I was in and out in less than 3 hours. She was pleasant, kind and checked on my comfort throughout the process. Will definitely go back and refer a friend.

I have been going to YK braiding for almost a year now and she NEVER disappoints. Recently I had to call her at the VERY last minute to do my daughters hair before she went out of town and she immediately got the job done. She is quick and her styles are neat. She’s reliable and if she says she can do it, she can do it! Yesterday I got bohemian knotless braids for the first time. I’ve seen the style on many people but wasn’t sure how I would like it for myself… it turned out BEAUTIFULLY! It’s the best braid style I’ve ever gotten.

I had an amazing first appointment with her! A usual 4 hour style for me only took her about 2!! Not only is she quick, but she's very gentle and neat with her work. She's also very friendly and affordable!! I look forward to going back!!

First let me just say how sweet and professional she is! I am very very pleased with my services. I asked for one thing but she delivered even better. Super quick! It usually takes anywhere from 6-10 hours to get box braids but it only took her 3 hours for medium size mid back length box braids. I will upload pics later. But I would definitely recommend her and I will definitely be going back!

This was my first time go to her and when I tell you I would recommend her anything. She was nice and very polite. My hair is very short and she took her time and did a wonderful job.I will be one of her faithful clients.

Let me start by saying I am so grateful for Yk African Hair Braiding! That's the understatement of the year. I had been calling around all day. Mind you, it was Christmas Eve yesterday, and no one was open. I called Yk and she told me to come right over! She did my hair in about 2 and half hours. Now let me tell you why I have so much appreciation for this woman. First off, I have the worst social anxiety. She made me feel safe. She was welcoming, allowed me to watch TV, offered me refreshments, and didn't try and snatch my soul out through my hair. When it was all said and done, I felt beautiful. This is the first time I've ever done box braids. I feel and look like a new person. Thank you so much for your kindness.

She’s very nice and she’s very fast. She did me and my daughter’s hair in 4 hours, I had medium box braids and my daughter got knotless bohemian braids and they both are very neat and clean I will be back

Yk was amazing. Not only was she extremely prompt in securing me an appointment the same week I called. But she started my hair on time and had me completed and walking out the door all under 4 hours. My braids were very neat and the quality of
her work is great. She gets bonus points for not braiding overly tight. I can't wait to see her again for my next style.

I had an appointment at 8am, by 1015 am I was finished. I have never had braids done that quickly before. Very beautiful work. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I went here with my daughter, the service was great! We both got medium bohemian braids (mid back length) when I tell you she braids fast! I was in her chair at 8 and done by 11, the braids are neat and clean, She provides the hair. And prices are affordable. She was very polite and listened to what I wanted. Deposit is required to secure your appointment that goes towards price of service, you will not be disappointed. I found my new place for braids!!! We both love our braids they are lite and don’t feel weighed down.

I have been to most braiders in Columbus and YK surpasses all. Her professionalism and focus goes beyond. Unlike most braiding shops YK have the all focus on your head. I went to get box braids done, she started at 5 and was done like 740. I know it could have taken me 4-5 hours somewhere. These were mid back medium braids. I will pay for time anytime. Not to mentioned you won’t be crying while having your hair done. Her hands are gentle for the scalp. YK keep up the good work! The prices are reasonable and she is worth all the money especially if she will finish your hair 2 hours ahead of time. She takes deposits prior to appointment and I support her new policy because people make appointments and cancel or don’t show up. She’s too good for all the inconvenience. I am glad to find MDV, Atlanta, Nashville type service in Columbus. I haven’t wrote a review for any of braiders, so I had something to say about her. Focus, time, and quality work is all most people need! Again the gentle hands for my sensitive scalp is an addition to the package. Can’t wait for my next service!

I called her on a Sunday morning and she was able to accommodate my request for box braids and I was out of there within 3 1/2 hrs. She was professional and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back.

I got medium size mid back senegalese twist. She started soon as I sat in the chair and was done under 3 hours. The twist were neat and not tight. Clean environment. Highly recommend.
