Oh my goodness! This place is awesome!
One of my all-time favorite dresses has been smirking at me for years!! Because it was hanging in my closet, still wrapped in plastic from its last trip to a different cleaners!! Who swore to me there was no cure for this dress! Nothing would take this stain out! My only option was to cut it from a long maxi dress to above the knee! I love the dress that much that I considered it… But I never did pull that trigger because it felt like defeat! This dress is so perfect AS IS!!

So last week I went in search of a new Cleaners, one that had an exceptional seamstress on premises to get a few pair of new pants hemmed, and one needed a couple of darts! As I collected my garments at home, again my eye went to my favorite dress! The hell with it, I’m going to bring this dress to the cleaners, so at least I can still wear it!

ENTER… LAKE IDA CLEANERS!!

There I met Anastasia and Rose, the seamstress. They are both very kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and very willing to try and help me!

While I was talking with the girls, I believe it was the owner who came up front. He heard us discussing my options for the dress and he said… why don’t you let me see if I can get that stain out for you?! Really I said?!😱 no, I’ve already spent good money at three separate cleaners trying to get this taken out. I can’t afford it anymore! Have to use the money to cut the dress!

I wish I had gotten this guy’s name… But he assured me if he did not get the stain out… He would NOT charge me! And even Discount the charge for cutting the dress!

I mean, wow! With Goodwill beaming at you like that what would it say about me if I said no thanks!

Long story short, I literally just went to the cleaners, and when my Dress came out front, the guy wasn’t there, unfortunately… But guess what? Neither was the stain! That had been haunting me all these years! I could not believe it! I said to Anastasia, where is the stain? I can’t even find where it was on this dress?!

It’s like that dress I saw years ago appeared good! Thank you so much, Lake Ida Cleaners!
