We were in town for Pensacon and they brought us over to the Rex for John Kapelos' panel. The building has so much history and is so beautiful. Great for small events or theater productions.

This Theatre is so cool. It's like your walking into the 50s as soon as you walk in. The staff were very welcoming and everything was very clean. I had a great time and will be coming again especially for the retro movie nights.

Excellent renovation inside and out, great meeting and presentation venue, centrally located in downtown Pensacola across from Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza on Palafox Street just north of Garden Street.

Divinely guided to this great church....Generation Church...located in a refurbished old movie theatre. If we lived here this would be our church! People very friendly, engaging and made us feel so welcome!

What a great evening at the Rex!! Sometimes it can be difficult to find a great source of entertainment in Pensacola but The Rex was fantastic. We enjoyed all of the comedians, especially ending with Philly Plowden (who was on America’s Got Talent)! Good, clean entertainment in Pensacola!! This place is a hidden gem so get by there on Friday nights for comedy and Saturday for the magic shows! Prices are super reasonable and once they explain how they give back to the community, you’ll be even more pleased that you contributed to something amazing in our area!!!! Great for singles, couples, friends, families, or companies!!! Don’t miss this great night of local laughs!!! Thanks Rex, we’ll definitely be back!

I have been to 4 stand up comedy shows at the Rex since they started up the shows in November. All the shows have been a great time! Friday nights are stand up comedians and Saturday is a comedy magic show. I haven’t seen the Saturday show yet but have heard good things. The price is reasonable for a standup show and they are cheaper if you buy online ahead of time.

The Rex Theater is an amazing venue with a long history in Pensacola. It originally opened as a furniture store in 1922 - but later spent most of its life showing second run movies. Today it’s a church and a live theater - great location in downtown Pensacola, this theater has so much potential but I just don’t think it’s ever been appreciated the way it should be, regardless it’s still a classic!

This venue houses Generation church which is a healthy, family oriented, Christian non denominational church that also hosts community events in the theater. Great asset to the downtown community. Beautiful building; intimate; modern, beautiful wedding venue

Was a regular at this theater back in 1957. If memory serves me right, the owner of this theater was named Lloyd. As a Navy couple, we also rented an apartment that was owned by Lloyd. My memories are most pleasant of this theater, the town, and our landlord. Would love to relocate back to Pensacola...
