The Harriet Tubman Museum is located in Cambridge MD on the Eastern Shore. It's a great little place to start if you are planning to hit a lot of the H. T. historical sites in the area. It's free, and the people who run it are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The building is best known for it's iconic mural on the side. Make sure to see it. In addition to learning about H. T. and seeing some beautiful artwork related to her, you can get some detailed maps to show you other stops in the area you can make. It's definitely worth a visit.

We didn't get a chance to visit the museum, but enlisted Linda and David for a guided tour of the area as we followed Harriet Tubman's footsteps through the Cambridge area. This was a fantastic experience. Linda and David led our group on a tour that was infused with learning, reflection, (and my favorite) song. It felt like a unique, personalized experience that I highly recommend to any group, large or small.

Definitely worth the trip if you’re in the area or on your way to Ocean City. There is no fee for admission but donations are encouraged. This modest museum has several displays and was showing Harriet Tubman videos to small groups of people while I was there. They have a portrait wall with seldom seen pics of Tubman. The museum also sells merchandise, including art prints and shirts of the famous mural of Harriet Tubman which is out back. Staff is very friendly.

The mural was dope. The museum, in sharp contrast was disappointingly dull. The information was pieced together and some of it was factually incorrect. Our visit there lasted less than 10 minutes. The visitors center in Church Creek was more immersive and informative.

we stopped here before OC. It's a small place but was educational. Nice staff. You can purchase books and shirts. There are options for guided tours. The town was really cool! small and quaint. Small shops everywhere. It was a great travel stop.

It was a nice experience and the presentation is wonderful. The atmosphere in which it is set up as you ride through the town on your way to the museum. The history of the land that surrounds gives you an insight what it was like for Harriet Turman. Its nice to know how famous our state is and rich in history.

Loved their gift shop. Terrific memorabilia and video offerings. You have to take a picture in front of the mural.

Filled with great historical information! It's only one floor, and doesn't take very long to go through. Definitely worth a stop in. There is plenty of history on the walls to read, and video to watch. The staff are very nice and helpful. Don't forget to check out the mural painted on the rear wall outside. Beautiful!!

Fact...which I didn't know? Cambridge, MD is the Birthplace and hometown of Harriett Tubman.

If passing through, the museum is a must see for all.

Everyone should check out the Harriet Tubman Museum in Cambridge. Reading about or studying Tubman and the Underground Railroad is one thing, this center is another level of understanding. Combine it with the state center and the Tubman Trail in Dorchester County and history comes alive.

An important and informative museum that's well worth a visit. Situated in beautiful downtown Cambridge, this museum provides context to Harriet Tubman's tremendous accomplishments: her origins, her trials & tribulations, her strength of character, and her perseverance. The experience is at once inspirational and heart-rending. It's a story that must be told.
