This is the restaurant my family never misses when we're in Cambridge or passing through the city. During our most recent visit, we indulged in more than three dozen large crabs, and we relished every bite. The quality of each crab was outstanding, and it truly enhanced the entire dining experience. The crabs were incredibly sweet, juicy, and perfectly seasoned.

Whether you're a seasoned crab connoisseur or new to the world of steamed crabs, I recommend giving them a try. They serve as a delectable reminder of life's simple pleasures – good food, great company, and a taste of the ocean's or bay's bounty. :)

Some of the best calamari I've ever had. Everything was delicious. And the drinks were amazing. Come early , because it seems tables fill up fast. And with food like that... It's not going to stop any time soon.

In my opinion, their website undersells the quality of this restaurant. Yes it is casual and comfortable, but the atmosphere has a subtly superb decorum.

The food was fantastic. I had the broiled oysters with bacon and cheese-exquisite. The blue crab cake had the largest pieces of meaty crab I've ever seen such an entree. It has made all other crab cakes unacceptable in my mind. My side salad was made with fresh greens (i.e. NOT iceberg lettuce) and even the hush puppies showed an unexpected level of culinary quality.

TLDR: Delicious seafood pit stop on the way or coming home from the beach! Come for the Bay On The Bun and the Grouper Cake Sandwich.

Vibe: 5/5. Both inside and outside seating is available and both are nicely decorated to the ever present crab house/nautical theme. Ocean Odyssey uses a completely online ordering system where you scan a table specific QR code and place/pay for your order on a website portal. The system works great and gives you all the options of customization for each food item.

Service: 5/5. We were seated immediately and with the online ordering, our food order was done in only a few minutes after getting settled in. Food came out exceptionally fast to the point I was at a fast casual restaurant. This is ideal for those on a road trip looking to get a quick bite in under 30 minutes.

Food: 5/5. We ordered the Bay on the Bun (local fried catfish, softshell crab and oysters) sandwich, the Grouper Cake Sandwich and the DoCo Fries with everything turning out great! The Bay On the Bun was obviously huge, nicely breaded and paired well with the Marie rose sauce. However, the Grouper Cake was the unexpected winner of the order. We opted to have the cake pan seared with the Cajun remoulade. Perfectly seared , flaky and well seasoned, I could of eaten several! If you're ever on the way to OCMD and need a quick seafood fix, definitely give Ocean Odyssey a try!

The Bay on the Bun is SOOO good!! I got this and crabs and wish I would have only gotten one. Came out too fast and was hard to eat them both. Crabs were good as well.

We both ordered the crab cakes, which were delicious! I got the mac and cheese as well as fresh fruit. The Mac and cheese was superb. My fiance got the mashed potatoes as well as the pickled beets and he enjoyed both. Our server was excellent and the food came out in a timely manner.

An amazing local place. Sunday brunch had a platter with 3 of my favorites that are not usually served together (soft crab. Scrapple and fried tomatoes. The waitress was efficient. Food was great. Lots of art work by local artists. Definitely will make this a stop in the way home from beach

Visit time: Sunday 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm
We arrived 30 mins before they close and the hotel recommended this place for the seafood option. Nice place and took us a minute to find the entrance. When you enter from the first entrance to the parking area, the entrance is the first door in the building. Very clean and nice indoor seating area with decorated walls with signs. We stayed a little bit after they close at 8. Easy way to order the food using a QR code. Took only 5 mins to get the food to the table after we order.

Dishes: food was amazingly delicious. All seafood was really fresh. All the dishes we got were equally perfect. The portion is also perfect per person. They had a lot of choices of beer and wine too. Little expensive. But fully worth it.

Drinks- beer Corona and IPA drafts and Lemonade
Entreè- Crab Cake, Fish and chips, Shrimp Tacos, and the bay on the bun.
Staff: staff was very friendly and active. Checked with us multiple times after foods were served.
Parking: plenty of parking on site.
Covid safety: Cleaning after occupancy. No mask requirements. Dine-in and outdoor seating are available

Excellent, fresh seafood, and a great craft beer list. Recently renovated with a very cool new back room bar...definitely worth a stop!

We decided to try this place on a Monday despite some of the bad reviews. So many restaurants aren't open on Mondays so I called ahead. A woman answered the phone and assured me that they were open till 8 pm and there would be a band. We arrived and were greeted warmly. You can scan a QR code to view the menu, order and pay but they also gave us physical menus and let us know that we could order from them if we wanted. I ordered an Orange Crush and my friend ordered a Gin cocktail. They were both wonderful and then we each had wine, which was also very good. We ordered a dozen Jumbo crabs with light seasoning. The crabs were perfect! They brought us extra seasoning and were so attentive the entire time we were there. The inside of the restaurant is very cute. The band came and played great older music despite the few tables that were occupied. Overall we had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this place. Prices were very reasonable.

Fun little surprise on a super busy part of Route 50...I've hardly scratched the surface on this menu but am a big fan of the wings and the fish taco selection. If you've got small children there is a great little play area by the outside dining that makes it so much easier for the entire family to enjoy the experience. This is a new 'regular' spot for us! Be sure keep your eyes open for this stop on the way home from the Beach!

Travis and the crew at Ocean Odyssey were great. Fish tacos were fantastic. My son had the smash burger and he said it was the best. Definitely will stop by again when I am passing through.

We had stopped in for some fish tacos that were absolutely delicious. Ruby red trout, Maryland Blue cat, rock bass were the kinds they had. Also they have a bar

We opted for their single crab cake dinner and we were going to have fries and a side salad for our 2 sides. The waitress told us that the salad wasn't all that but the cole slaw was great. We went with her suggestion. The crab meat is hand picked at the restaurant and the finished product was the best we've ever had! The cole slaw was, in fact, terrific and they had some of the best fries ever! Eat here!!! Tomorrow night, hard shell crab picking!

UPDATE: Stopped in with some friends and the team was very accommodating setting us up outside with service. The crab cake was quite good, and my wife raved about the fish tacos (chose catfish, if you'd like to know). The drinks were good - very Eastern Shore. Place was quite busy inside. I think we may pick up a crab boil in the near future. Still likely very good for those passing through on the weekends. Thanks!

Didn't do a crab boil, and that appears to be where their strength might be. Appys were adequate, bar is basic. For this, not a go to. We will review again with their core menu. I suspect super for those passing through Cambridge and wanting the boil. We'll see what happens on a (non-weekend!) summer afternoon..

Amy was a fantastic waitress! Wonderful atmosphere, quick service, and great tasting food. Most expect a prime location for an authentic seafood restaurant, but the service, atmosphere and quality of food makes up for it. Can't wait to go back and use the outdoor play area for children.

Put this place on your list, it's on mine. We stopped here for lunch on the way back from the beach. My partner had a crab cake sandwich, and it was amazing! Absolutely no filler, and perfectly seasoned. I got the fried oysters and fish tacos with blackened salmon and Cole slaw on the side. The oysters were very large and fresh, served with cocktail sauce and lemon. The fish tacos were also amazing, with a ton of blackened salmon and perfect sauces and toppings. The cole slaw was just perfect, not too much vinegar or mayo, and exactly the right amount of pepper. We will definitely return.
