Our dinner was wonderful! The owners, Carlos and Isabel, took time to sit and talk with us. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We just stopped in for lunch and ordered the carne asada and camarones a la Diablo. The steak was super thin with a great sear and flavor. The beans that came with it were well seasoned and super tasty! The shrimp were impeccable as always, perfectly cooked smothered in the smoky sauce. Next time I’ll remember to ask for extra hot cause *I* was after that eye-watering kick but I’m not complaining, it was well balanced. We both got dessert, I got a flan which was a little congealed towards the edges but the middle was that perfect silky texture and I’m not splitting hairs over a couple bites with some chew, the flavor was really good and it was delightfully jiggly! The cheesecake we suspect is made in-house as it’s much more delicate than we were expecting and the strawberry sauce they smother it in was phenomenal. Great food made by great people. As always I can’t wait to come back!

Love this restaurant! The owners are very friendly: Carlos and Isabel, and welcoming, they treat their customers like family. The food is delicious 10/10 I recommend. The restaurant atmosphere is so relaxing with the music makes you feel like you’re on a resort. Drinks are top notch. This is the place to dine!

My husband and I went here last night and were both very happy with our appetizers and meals! We got the chorizo queso and I got the Poblana enchiladas. I wasn't a huge fan on the poblano sauce because I think it had mole in it, but everything was really flavorful. We had prompt service, the waitress was pleasant, the owner checked in with us, the place was very clean and it was a very relaxing setting. We how to hit this place again next time we come down to Maryland 😋 Thank you for the delicious food!

One of my favourite Mexican restaurant in Cambridge MD.

This is a family friendly place with excellent service and delisted food. Definitely authentic and yummy. We ordered the shrimp soup and the veggie fajitas. Food was excellent. You won’t regret coming here to eat.

We were a bit hesitant to enter due to the exterior but so glad we did! We orders frozen margaritas and a Texas Fajita, it was delicious! The chips and salsa were good too. So glad we decided to try it. Staff is very attentive and friendly.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE OUTSIDE APPEARANCE. THE FOOD IS AMAAAAAZING, AND IS WAY BEYOND the current 3.9 rating it has.
The chips and salsa...9.5. The queso, we asked for separately...10.0
Shrimp soup...9.0 (we wished they had other seafood like scallops, mussels, etc. In the soup)
Hawaiian fajitas...10.0000000...as good as it gets...perfect.
The service was excellent, the food came out rather quickly. We are staying close by at the Hyatt/Chesapeake, and we would definitely come back again!!

Went there twice while visiting Cambridge, MD. First time, ordered #109 Steak Plaza. It was great, full of flavors. Second time, ordered chicken fajitas (lunch menu), which was equally good. Portions were big enough for me (I couldn't finish everything). Staff was friendly and service was quick. I would go there when I am in the area again.

Food was absolutely delicious. Met the chef and told him the carnitas were tender and melts in your mouth.

Really good prices and service here keeps me coming back. They do a very good job at getting you drinks quickly, the food is always right up to par with flavor.

I enjoyed my meal at Plaza Tapatia. The staff was friendly & attentive, and the food was filling & good. I ordered the Chuletas Rojas and was very pleased.
