Sooner Dairy Lunch

Had to check this place out about all the hype. Driving up to the place with covered parking looked old. Parked and walked in on a rainy day and the inside and the friendly gentleman at the window were equally old. I put in my order for a burger, fries and a vanilla malt. This order came out in a short time and it sure smelled good! I tasted the fries and they were cooked perfectly. The vanilla malt instantly took me back when I was a kid to a better time. The 1st bite out of the burger and I knew this was the real deal. For the price, quality, and super taste this is the place to go!

A great family run lunch place . Very authentic and simple . Burgers and steak sandwiches and milkshakes , great tase at a normal price . The bun bread great and the milkshakes are tasty .

This is by far my favorite burger in Norman. This place has been in the same family since it was built in the 1950's.!! Randy always remembers my name and what i prefer on my burger. Ive literally raised all my kids eating here at least once a week and the food is always great..!! Love the place. If they ever close Norman will definitely be at a loss without them.!! Best burger in the metro area bar none!! 5 stars guys!!

This is really one of the best iconic drive in burger places still around. Food is great and fresh and if you like chocolate malts (not shakes), this is one of the best places to get one. Don't miss getting a lunch or dinner here at one of the last true drive-ins!

Still the best burger place - bar none. Just made to order burgers with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and the rest of the condiments. Really good buns. Onion rings are perfect and tasty. Shakes and malts made the old fashioned way. All yummy.

I love their onion rings best! And the burger is fabulous, way better than a Sonic. I just love a good cheeseburger with onion rings, so I haven't tried anything else... But I'm sure its fabulous too!
My dad and his family have been going there for very many years and now I go whenever I'm in town.
It's not just tasty food, its also a tradition so we really hope they're in business for many more years!

Sooo good!! It's a locally owned car hop, probably one of the last few from the 1950's. Simple, straightforward menu, very reasonably priced, friendly service. And food that is so delicious! I ordered a cheeseburger and it came with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and diced onions. I think the best way to describe it is next level home cooking. We're definitely going back.

Wow, first visit I can remember, ‘68. A true basic good staple (haha) of Normanites! The family has been always solid in their trade! Remember my brothers & I wearing our Cub Scout uniforms to get dinner & the oldest son of the family was wearing his Boy Scout uniform. Gosh, you will be so missed…

Great food! I got the regular and my husband got the large with a side of fries and our total was only ~$9! I'll have to try one of their shakes next time. I definitely have to bring my family hear next time they're in Norman.

The original burger joint in Norman, Oklahoma. Food made the same way it has been since Sooner town was just a dusty small blip on the map.
Reminds me of when I was a kid when food was real.

THE classic burger joint in Norman. Amazing classic drive-in food, and the prices are cheap to top it off. Fresh squeezed lemonade, limeade, and awesome shakes/malts make this a local treasure that holds up with any other of its type in the metro. Long live Sooner Dairy! May they stay open another 65 years.

Sooner Dairy lunch is simply the best old school drive in burger joint around. The burgers are incredibly fresh and delicious. The ingredients are high quality. The burgers are juicy and made to order. You can eat here for one third of what you would spend at fast food or fast casual restaurant. This place is always packed and for good reason. Sooner Dairy lunch is a small gem on Main Street in Norman.

Reasonably priced! Cash only but hamburger was like my mama used to make. Hand squeezed lemonade 🍋🍋 I will be back for sure. You can eat outside or in your car no inside dining😊

I have been going to Sooner Dairy for 24 years now. Hands down still the best burger joint in town. There's nothing on the menu that is bad. Everything is fresh. The McHughes family is as down to earth as they get.

One of the betters burgers I've had in Norman, plus the price is hard to beat! This place is an old school burger joint that's cash only. Their most expensive burger is $5.85, and their sweet potato fries are fantastic! If you're looking for a classic burger jup vou 2 pie

Great old fashioned burgers, fries and onion rings. This place is obviously a well-like place. Fairly fast service. Prices reasonable. We will surely be back.

I think they have the best Barbecue sandwich in town!
As far as the voicemail goes, I don't believe they meant all of the Chinese people in general, only those involved with creating the Corona virus. Along with the fatalities and families that are still being ruined by it!
I can not wait for them to safely reopen if ever possible!
