20 minutes before closing they invited me to stay. I'm glad I did as my prime rib was delicious. Beans and mushrooms were also very good. I had a bourbon ice cream for dessert and it was the perfect finish.
The service was friendly and considering that I came in late in the evening, I was grateful to be taken care of.

A shining gem of a restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was in love with this place. The decor is quaint and very welcoming. They have inviting and comfortable seating by a fire for those that have to wait to be seated, though I asure you that won't be long. The host and waitress were both extremely welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. We ordered the gizzards as a less typical appetizer to try something new, and they were crispy and chewy, and surprising delicious. I ordered the chicken fried steak double with mashed potatoes with campfire beans. Not only was my food wonderful, but it was a very generous portion. I had plenty to take home. My fiancee ordered the open face tenderloin, and she said it was the best she had ever had. The drinks we ordered were made very well too. I read other reviews that were less than positive, but I can't disagree with them more. I would definitely stop here again.

Loved the decor from the very first step in the door. It was an old west theme with a lot of taxidermy animals. There was a mini gift shop by the waiting area. The waiting area was comfortable and my wife and I didn't mind the short wait to be seated.
Our server was very attentive and polite. She got our drink order right away and took our food order shortly after when we were ready. We got our food order in a reasonable amount of time.
I got the tenderloin sandwich w/a side of sautéed mushrooms to add to my sandwich and fries. The sandwich was delicious and the mushrooms added to the flavor. The fries were excellent as a side to this sandwich.
We will for sure be back. I 100% recommend Dusty Trails.

I am glad it's reopened giving Atchison County, MO. a place to sit down and enjoy a bite to eat. We the the Blue Plate Special it was schnitzel and it was fantastic. The side of the cabbage was very flavorful! We will be back soon. The portions of Chicken Strips were perfect for our girls, and they said they were good. Mountain oysters were cooked to perfection. This meal was the best food we have had at a restaurant as of late.

I really dont know what to say. I ate here pre covid. It was really good and enjoyed the ambiance also. They closed but now they're open for business and business is good. Great staff, very clean, very ambitious ladies who run this place. I highly recommend the cowboy caviar and ribeye. Thank you Miss Elizabeth and mom for providing a truly enjoyable relaxing thirst quenching and nourishing place for folks to gather. I will be back for more. Blue

What an Awesome place! With all the wildlife and just amazing fixtures. Including a covered wagon bar!!! Not a detail was spared in this design! Food was good, service was good. But the place is so cool! If your traveling the interstate this is a great stop! Especially with kids! They loved it!!!

I highly recommend the farmer's scramble with a side of gravy to pour on top of it. I don't like that they use paper drinking straws. However on my second visit to the restaurant our server did give me the option of using a metal straw which I was more than happy to do. I love the decor and the atmosphere in general. Lots of things to look at and be amazed by. I hope they will start to be open through week soon and not just on the weekends as it is now. Prices are fair and the food is exceptional. I highly recommend this place for the amazing food and excellent service.

Very nice atmosphere. Interesting art, taxidermy, and rustic decor. Covered wagon bar. The place is much bigger inside than appears from outside. The food is amazing...home cooking! Service with a smile. Very professional 👍. Will definitely return if we get up this way again.

Had the bcb² cheeseburger where the cheddar burger had a bacon weave for buns. Really good, great for diabetics ironically, but wish there was a bun version. So greasy my hands got coated and couldn’t grip the salt shaker. No shame in eating this with a fork and knife. The burger is a smaller size than you might be used to, so having the soup and salad unlimited option for an extra fee is a good idea. The salad was pretty good. Had both the rice and chicken and their tomato soup. Tomato soup is much better (both soups were great) and spicier. You can ask them to adjust it if you prefer a milder soup.

Had their s’mores pie for dessert. Really great. Service was excellent, especially as they started to fill up with patrons.

Parking is really good, but could use some signage to help you figure out how to get there behind the McDonald’s. I went during what seemed to be a soft opening period, so hopefully once they get their services fulling going they can add indications when they are open. Bathrooms are big and clean.

Hubby and I and another couple went for dinner tonight (Saturday 8/26/23). Arrived around 5:20pm. Ordered drinks, appetizers and dinner. All I can say is WOW!! Our waiter, Preston, was on his very first day and was still learning the POS system, but his personality was awesome, even throughout my orneriness! I put him to the test and he passed with flying colors. So much fun and just went with the flow. Attentive, but not overly so as to be annoying. He was funny and cute and I just wanted to put him in my pocket and take him home!
The drinks were great, except for hubby’s BBQ Bloody Mary. It was too sweet with the bbq sauce that was in it. The gals had mules and the other friend has Yuengling on tap (a rare find).
For apps, we had the fried pickles and Cowboy Caviar. Both were delicious, but I would be good with a never-ending bowl of that caviar. Absolutely scrumptious!
For dinner, the guys each had the open face tenderloin, and us girls had the half order of chicken fried chicken, after an amazing salad (you MUST try the Carrot Citrus dressing!). We all went home with leftovers because there was so much food, but we will definitely be back to try more!!

I have food allergies and it can be difficult to eat out. We were traveling and stopped here to eat. The cook came out and spoke with me and altered a dish to fit my dietary needs. It was amazing!

Way nicer than you'd think! Fireplace, seating, cute home decor, and a huge wagon to look at! We ordered a small meal $8 and everything was amazing. Server also was just a doll. Fyi....metal straws
