Oriental Inn

Each time I go to Marshfield, MO, I always make a point of stopping in here because it's...well, it is always delicious! Back in the late 70s or early 80s, this restaurant opened and it has always maintained a steady flow of business. Located right off I44, it is easy off, easy on for travelers. This photo is of my sweet and sour chicken, egg roll, and an order of wonton. It is worth the stop and worth the wait if you happen to stop in when it's busy.

Better than the 8 million Chinese food places in Springfield. Worth the drive.

They have the BEST food and super nice people here!!! It's the best sweet and sour chicken around!

It's a dive and Ole dude is rough on his help.Friday and Sat. nights are so slow its unreal. No debit is super inconvenient. So why is it 5 stars? The cashew chicken is so good that I won't even order it in Springfield.....well u haven't had....that's just it I have had all of Springfields cashew places my whole life....they gross compared to This Place!!! Best Cashew off all time period.

Their cashew chicken is the best. Not in town. Not in the county or state. The best, in the world, period.
I live states away now and I wish I had known what I had when I had it. People outside of Southwest MO don’t understand cashew chicken. And they sure as hell can’t make it. I’ve been served unbreaded chicken with dark brown sauce and vegetables other places. The only vegetables that belong on cashew chicken is scallions.
Anyways. Everything else is great too. Yes you might have to wait for your order (they do not start making it until you’re in the store, it doesn’t matter if you’ve called ahead, deal). But it’s well worth the wait.
Cherish the Americanized Chinese food you have while you have it. Or else you’ll end up like me, over 10 hours away and forced to eat Hy-vee’s interpretation of Chinese takeout.

We have been eating here for years and it's some of of the best cashew chicken that I have ever had. Today I tried the hot & spicy sauce for the first time and it's wonderful! Be aware that they take cash only & if you call in an order you have to pay before they will start on your order.

The food is good, but I'm specifically leaving this review because of the packaging. I accidentally drove the whole way home with two tubs of sauce turned over on their sides inside the bag, and they didn't spill a drop. This is Chinese place is a rare gem.

Awesome food., probably the best cashew chicken I've ever ate. They do not accept creditor debit cards, cash or local check only. The menu is very small but it's all very good.

Really kind people and the best chicken I’ve ever had (and best in Missouri). Would HIGHLY recommend for everyone to eat at Oriental Inn. Support local businesses during this difficult time.

They had a decent selection and some really good special pieces. My favorite was a crab casserole thing; it was absolutely delicious. We didn't feel rushed at all and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Great food and a great place to talk to your neighbors while your meal is bing freshly prepared. Nothing pre-made, frozen and nuked here.

You may wait a little longer for your food, but it is freshly made just for you!!!

Prices are more than reasonable.

The cashew chicken was very good It was fresh My egg rolls were fresh a little bit greasy though but The service was excellent The girl who waited on us was very very polite My husband even commented on what it applied person she was.

Just had the hot and spicy chicken. By far the best! I'm pretty picky about the cuts on chicken and I am vary pleased. Just give them a try. I will make this place a weekly stop.

Small menu because they focus on a great taste of a few things. Worth the drive from the next town. Been eating here for over 15 years. Cash/check only.
