Getting more gorgeous every day in this springtime weather! Lovely wide paved trail, and a narrower dirt trail closer to the water. Mostly shaded and not at all buggy. There are least a dozen pretty scenic lookout points along the path. It’s a great for strollers we saw many strollers and cyclists along the way. Love the giant rocks.

Outstanding park a couple miles off I-95 in Rocky Mt, North Carolina. Well maintained paved trails, and you can go off side paths of packed earth. Saw some mt bikers on those trails. Paths go down to the river. Up river is an old mill with dams and roaring falls so the river rushes over huge rocks. Worth it just for the scene. Bathrooms were immaculate. There is also a disc golf course.

Honestly, I had no idea that somewhere so beautiful could be in Rocky Mount. I love it here. It's a great workout spot (paved trails) with the most amazing views. Lots of wildlife (cranes/herons!, turtles, ducks, etc.). They also have parks for children & disc golf if you're into that.

This is a great quick stop if traveling on I-95(just a few minute detour). We had a picnic by the water and found it very nice and relaxing. There was a lot of trash though, and even some just bu the trash cans. They were also doing renovations on some of the entry points. Otherwise I loved the rocky areas and pointed tree stubs(never seen those before)

Nice experience! Have not visited since I was a child so things did seem pretty different to me then what I remember. Definitely will return when we have more time since it was later in the evening when we arrived.

I run here often, and there are great paths that are mostly shaded to help with the heat in the summer. Most of the path follows the Tar River. There are many mountain biking trails and a very challenging disc golf course.

I was in Rocky Mount for work and was glad to find this park for an early morning or late afternoon walk along the Tar river. It was pretty, green, quiet, and clean.

This is a great place to explore and there is a lot of interesting things along the way. The entire path is beautiful and a good distance with many stops along the way. There is a pretty cool spot on the lookout to boulder and lots of wildlife to check out. Have been back every day to check it out!

Beautiful outdoor space for walking, hiking and mountain biking! About 5 miles of Singletrack and some really unique rock/Boulder structures to play on. Easily accessible with a small parking lot and greenway access to other areas of downtown rocky mount. A must visit. Pet friendly as well.

So many trails to choose from, they even have an app to track your trail times. There's also a convenient bike station, where you can fix any issues you may be having.

I love it here!!! Whenever I can not think, just need a release or a reminder of just how magical the Planet Earth is, this is my go to spot. It's like time stood still here. You really feel like you have entered a time warp of when things were not so complex and anger driven.

Great place to go walking, paved trails. There are a lot of rocks and boulders to climb on. Good fishing here. There's an old cemetery, swings and benches on some of the trails. All free .

Seriously one of the coolest parks we've ever been to. We've seen parks like this on the internet, so seeing it in person was really fun. My husband loved all the places you can explore and I really loved that the side walks are paved. It was truly a beautiful park and we can't wait to take our 9 year old.

Great historic park with hiking trails, picnic shelters, a river with fishing piers and a boat launch. Found it while heading south on vacation on I-95 and it's a great place to stop and walk your dogs. Lots of parking and very well maintained.

Cute little park we found. The water and falls was cool to see. The paved and unpaved trails. Found the old graveyard along the trail. Definitely going back.
