Barley and Burger

My Mom and I were in town for the Bob Ross art exhibit, and stopped by for a bite in somewhere local that had celiac friendly options. We each got a burger with a gluten free bun, I got the Godfather and she got the Blues Brothers. When they came out, they were soft and delicious. All in all, they were the BEST gluten free burgers/buns we'd ever had. The pimento cheese loaded fried were delicious too! We devoured them even if they left us a bit too full lol.

Ashley our server was amazing. We have been hearing about this place and finally decided to try it for the second part of her birthday. It didn't disappoint. We ordered the pickle chips for the appetizer and it took less than 5 minutes and it was at our table. We decided on the forest burger and split that. Amazing flavors. For dessert we did the brownie with ice cream. A must. Put this place on your list for restaurants. You will not be disappointed

Really good food here. Ordered the build your own burger with fried pickles. Delicious and extremely filling. They don’t jip you on the portions here! Onion rings were very good too and you could tell they were hand breaded.

This is the first time I stopped by for dinner at this place. It was really crowded but we got the table immediately. Ordered Grilled Chicken Burger with Onion rings in side. Onion rings was server’s recommendation. Took while to serve but was worth to wait. Amazing taste, bread was too soft and onion rings were awesome. Ambience was also very nice. Finally had a chance to stop and check them out and omg we were not disappointed!! The crew was very friendly and welcoming thank you again to our hostess Samantha!! The food was awesome as well. My wife and I both tried out the "Ricky bobby" and shared the B & B nachos.. definitely going to be coming back!!

We found this place by accident while traveling. We're glad we did. The burgers were delicious. The fries were nice and fresh. We tried the fried banana peppers. Nice concept and they were very appetizing. I had only one gripe. The chili that we got on one of the burgers was sweet. It tasted just like a sloppy Joe. This isn't how you do chili in the South. Still, the burger was so good it made little difference. I don't think you'll be disappointed in this place. It cost a little more but it's a good quality and delicious.

A great place to sit down and have an amazing burger. Sandwich options were eclectic and unique. The options for sides were really great. Really good selection of beers and soft drinks. The service was prompt and enthusiastic without being irritating. From the outside, it doesn't like much of anything, but the food quality and flavors don't disappoint.

A nice impromptu dinner tonight with my ❤ at Barley and Burger. We had an enjoyable experience here thanks to the hostess and our server, Joy and whomever was cooking in the kitchen. It was our first time dining so we didn't know what to expect. The food was served quickly and it was fresh and hot. The smash burger was delicious and the toppings were delicious... even the tomatoes!!! The Ricky Bobby sandwich was delicious! Joy, our server was pleasant and kept our drinks refilled. We enjoyed the onion rings and the waffle fries. The food was perfectly seasoned too. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, smaller establishment with friendly service and good food!

Took a team from work to have dinner, and the whole experience was fantastic. The specialty burgers are 2 smash burgers with loads of toppings. The Truffles Shuffle was a great choice. Onion rings are crisp and homemade, and the tots came hot and crunch.

Great place to eat. Staff was friendly and seemed to get along great with each other. I stay in Rocky Mount about once a month and this was my first visit here , but will not be my last. This is my new go to place !!! Got the Big Kahuna burger and tater tots, which was awesome , and the peanut butter milk stout was phenomenal!!! If your around, don’t hesitate to hit this place up !!!

Random find on our way to Fayetteville. I ordered a burger with nothing on it with waffle fries a side of the pimento cheese and buds bbq sauce. The burger was fabulous. Seasoned and cooked very well, I didn’t need to put anything on it. It was that good.

Not one to leave interweb reviews. But I’ve been here about 5 times this year in 2023, and just love the food and wait staff. Special little place for sure. I live 2 hr away, but this is a destination restaurant for me and my fellas. Check it out, but don’t tell anybody how good it is. :)

Fun restaurant, where every dish is a pop culture reference. Highly recommend if you are a movie buff and want a fun day out. I recommend anyways even if you aren't into movies because the food was freaking fantastic. The wings were made perfectly, my chicken cheese steak (The Ricky Bobby) was delicious with the perfect amount of spice, and my husband's burger (The Marty McFly) was one of the best burgers we've ever had. 10\10. Give this place an Oscar because the performance their food played on my taste buds was perfection.

5 star burgers all the way! Food was delicious and service was great. They have movie themed decor and menu. Definitely recommend if you love movies and burgers.

My husband and I stopped here otw home from OBX, and the food was great! Loaded queso fries with ranch were super yummy! And I got the BYOB with a salad- also very good! Our server was so nice and friendly (as was everyone else); we never needed anything because he was so attentive. I definitely recommend this place!

Incredible food... Large portions and very freshly prepared! We had fried pickles for our app, Napoleon Dynamite sandwich with onion rings, Big Kahuna burger with fries and Rocky Balboa burger with onion rings and every item was fantastic!

This place is legit!!! On a business trip and found this gem… the food was great but the people are even better and that’s saying something. I’ll definitely be back… one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever had.

My son and I came through today for the second time ever (first time was about 6-7months ago) and loved every second of our experience. From the warm reception coming in the door to our fantastic food and phenomenal service (thank you Ms. Ashley!) I can’t begin to say enough great things about this place. It has now become a destination of ours whenever we are in Rocky Mount. Keep up the great work! Love it!!

We were in Rocky Mount for a baseball tournament and stumbled across Barley & Burger. Soooooo good!!! It’ll be a staple every time we come down here. Danny was our server and she could not have been more wonderful and attentive despite a packed house. Phenomenal in every way!
