Hammett House Restaurant

By far one of the best restaurants that I have been to! The wait staff was incredible! The food was soooo good. You have to try the seasoned green beans. They are out of this world. My pork chops were so tender I could cut them with a fork. Don't forget to order your dessert before your meal to get a discount on it

Wow! This place was an incredible find! Busy Saturday night, and only waited about 10 minutes. Greeted by a very friendly and cheerful waitress who then stayed on top of drink refills without needing to be asked, checked on us multiple times throughout the meal to make sure we had all our dining needs met. A manager looking fellow came over a couple of times as well to make sure our food was good and correct, and then later to make sure we had excellent service. The food was excellent quality! Best liver and onions I’ve ever had. The blooming onion was huge and perfectly fried, and came with 3 different types of dips and all were delicious! The Chokes and Cheese appetizer was amazing and the chips had a seasoning on them that make them standout from other places. The onion rings were huge and the fried chicken was cooked to perfection. All in all, well worth the 45 minutes drive for us to want to come back and bring family with us! 10/10

Great place to eat if you're in town! I had a Po Boy sandwich and it was really good. Also, we had triple appetizer but ate it before I could take a pic because we were super hungry 😁. This was my first time as my wife had been there before. The service was great and very friendly, also the pie is uh.may.zing!!!

Great place for a fine meal. We had just been to Will Roger's Museum and the docent referred us. Trish was a fabulous server and answered all our questions and treated us to a wonderful anniversary dinner. We went whole hog and ordered everything we wanted and had enough left over to take home and enjoy later. Our favorites were the "pink sauce" and the hushpuppies!

The appetizer trio is a healthy serving and so delicious! Then we had chicken fried steak and grilled salmon, both amazing! Their side salads are exactly what side salads everywhere should be! Real mashed potatoes, white and red. Definitely wish we lived here to make this a regular stop.

The Hamlet house has been around a while . Staff was extremely friendly. The food was even better. I had the turkey fries and country fried steak. My wife had the catfish all three were absolutely excellent. The waitress we had was really attentive but not overly attentive and just seem genuinely nice. Overall. A great place to eat and would eat here again when traveling through again.

CHICKEN FRIED CHICKEN. Oh the dilemma when one is vegetarian, but craving chicken fried chicken. Lol This is the place for me. The absolute best around. If you have to cheat you might as well GO BIG 😂

This is without a doubt some of the best fried chicken I've ever had and also great livers. My mother wanted to come here for her 75th birthday which we did Drive in from Broken Arrow to have dinner at this great old school Chicken Dinner House. Of course the staff seems like everybody is family or all grew up together in some way so it's fast and happy inside. Everything looks delicious and everything we ordered was exceptional. I'm so thankful great restaurants like this still exist.

First time here and it was absolutely wonderful. Delicious food and great service. I had chicken fried steak and it was very big and real mashed potatoes with country gravy. Apple delight was delicious too. So glad to find a restaurant that serves food made from scratch.

We took a ride out here with our “Open Road” group. Food was excellent; peanut butter pie was amazing!

If you are looking for home cooking, this is a great choice. Located just down the street from the Will Rogers Memorial and Rogers State University, it isn't a fancy place to look at. However, everyone's food was excellent, the service was fast and courteous, and the price, though not inexpensive, was reasonable. We had fried catfish, chicken fried steak, and fried chicken...all were excellent. The fried okra side was particularly good, lightly breaded and fresh tasting. The gravy was also very good (and I generally am not a big fan of gravy). All in all, a great choice when you are in Claremore;

I'm not usually a fan of down-home Southern food, but Hammett House does everything so well you can't help but be impressed. I went for the turkey fries, which I hadn't encountered anywhere else.

For about $25 I got a cup of soup, a tasty roll, some toast, waffle fries and a half order of mixed turkey and lamb fries (enough that I had leftovers). Everything was excellent and I was very happy with my order. I was also intrigued by the menu full of other specialties, including Saturday's garlic prime rib. I'll be back!

Ever have a hankering for something and then have it not be as good as you wanted it to be? That’s NOT gonna happen here…
Growing up in Texas then moving to Florida, I haven’t had good chicken fried steak in a long time. My search is over… it was delicious!! Hubby had the Amish Meatloaf. It was all so good. And just to top off good food, we had great service from Cindy. Very sweet, funny, and took fabulous care of us!!! I’m glad we don’t live closer!🤣 Thank you for the terrific dinner!!

10/10 so delicious! We loved our server Cindy and all the food was so good. My husband said it was the best CF steak he's ever had. He was thrilled to find German chocolate pie on the menu. He ate a slice there and ordered one to go as well.

Claremore Oklahoma's most established dining spot! Some of the best southern home-cooking style grub that you will find on the map. Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak......And Those Pies! My goodness those pies are out of this world! Lemon-Pecan, Banana Cream, Chocolate, holy cow!! Folks come from all over the land to dine here. And now we know why.

Wow. Food Gazism. Services was great, big variety, daily specials, and pies. Lots of pies. Very clean the place was perfect. We had the Po boy catfish sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries. We shared a piece of German Chocolate pie wow. Can't wait to stop again on way to Tulsa

Impressive. Great burger, and the servers was on point. $5 burgers on Sunday night. All kinds of food on the menu and they have pie. Will be adding this place to the list!

Delicious food at a decent price. Gluten free and Vegetarian options available, as well as traditional American and southern dishes. Very large portions, and very friendly service. Our food took a while to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait.

So glad we stopped here. All the recommendations were right- this place was phenomenal! Wonderful food and the pies were amazing. Try the sour cream raisin pie- trust me it will change your life!
