Harmony Arboretum

Hidden gem alert! This place is totally worth the drive. It appears to be constantly changing as they get volunteers able to work on it. There is quite a bit to explore here with young kids so pack a picnic and hike the trail! Perks: a large fenced-in play area, shaded pavilion and one pit toilet at the parking lot.

There are trails here. While it didn't seem like it, based on the pictures, there is definitely one there. The fenced in gardens are a cool little place too! Great for kids to learn and have a bit of fun.

A great place to bring the kids to see, smell and taste! Gorgeous flowers, all kinds of herbs and a playhouse! You can tell much love goes into the work being done here!

Located in Peshtigo is this cute garden that is fun for the whole family. Every time I have been there I see something different, one time in early fall I even saw a hummingbird, that was a joy to see. There is something for everyone. I get the impression that it's maintained by a group of volunteers so there are times when it doesn't look so great, keep that in mind and appreciate all they have to offer. On a recent trip they even had tomatoes you could take to sample which I thought was awesome. They typically have volunteers on hand Thursdays to answer questions. This season they even did a plant sale which went over well , I believe. They keep adding things and improving so you definitely have to keep going back. For the price .. FREE it's totally worth it .. you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend. Oh and it's open 24hrs... BONUS

This is such a beautiful garden with wonderful volunteers who take so much time to maintain and improve the space. I was really impressed how many activities there were for children! My little guy had so much fun, we were so glad we went!

Master gardeners are usually on site during the day. It is setup for family event for kids and adults to go and learn.

My family had been coming here for years. The grounds are lovely & peaceful. It is a very family friendly place.

Amazing place... beautiful gardens, wonderful fun and learning for kids...bring some snacks and eat under the covered pavilion. Not truly handicap accessible, but if a person can walk with a walker about 10 steps, they can sit at a picnic table and just enjoy the beauty of nature.

Very fun and interactive play environment. Lots of things for the kids to do and experience. There is also a garden for the adults to admire as well. Everything is labeled too, so if you like a plant or want to get one for your own garden you know what it is. I love that it's all fenced in as well so no worrying about the kids. There is a covered picnic area with tables so pack a lunch and enjoy your day!!

Kids had lots of fun. Free. Wonderful gardens. Added new maze. And pond full of frogs and gold fish. Peaceful.

Beautiful flower, herb, sensory garden displays. Enough to keep busily for a couple hours. There's a prairie walk and hardwoods walk.

New to this growing area. The arboretum helped me make connections to establish the garden. UW agriculture outreach is very involved. Most helpful.
