What a great place...very nice and well kept...computers to use and areas to just relax and read...the assistant librarian is very knowledgeable and great resource for local information...or go outside and let the kids place on the playground...or drop off your used books....its a safe space for all...VISIT your local library today....

Great selection of books on hand! Plus their online library app, Libby, is amazing. The librarians there are some of the kindest I've known. One of the best public libraries I've used out of the hundreds.

Yancey Public Library is a great place to get books. Great selection. Staff suggestions right inside the front door. Best part is the outstanding staff! Be certain during covid regulations that you call to make an appointment for your visit. They can typically accommodate you right away. Happy reading!

Very friendly and personable staff, the facility is beautiful and it's the perfect place to hang out with young kids on a rainy day. They offer great activities like story time and yoga too.

Lovely old building. The usual proof of address required to join, but they will also accept an Amazon delivery as proof of address for those of us that have a primary residence elsewhere
