Clever Fox Coffee Company

The Clever Fox Coffee Company is a small comfortable shop, friendly service, very good coffee, pastries and breakfast items.

The coffee shop is conveniently located on the road to Lake Claremore. Grab a cup on the way out to watch the ducks and geese slide across the ice. Or, on your return trip up after a brisk walk around the lake, pull in and warm up with a big latte. Unfortunately, or fortunately, it is also located directly across the street from Hilcrest Hospital should you be in need of those types of services.

We were headed out to the lake looking for new bird watching locations and walking trails. I got a mocha, my wife got “the best I have ever had” Carmel Macchiato. We sat in the shop for a few minutes to just get a feel of the place. We like it. More visits coming.

I LOVE coming here! The drinks are always so good, my favorite is the lush lavender lotus! The employees are always so sweet, I recently came in and met one of the new employees! Robin I think their name was, and Dalton were so kind and patient, because despite having a favorite, I still take a bit to order 😅 You guys rock :))

Everything we tried was fantastic! I got the butterbeer frappe and it tasted just as I expected, very much a delicious milkshake. You can get it with me espresso as well if you prefer. They have tons of really cool energy drinks. They accidentally made an extra one and we got to try the pink energy for free. It was fantastic! Unfortunately I’m caffeine sensitive so I didn’t get to drink much of it but I loved it. There are lots of neat little table games to keep you entertained and they have a trivia night! I’d love to come back for that!

The drinks and pastries were awesome! The customer service was great, too! I like the ambiance, which was pretty relaxing. They have board games and cards here, too, when you come and hang out with your friends, family or significant other.

Very unique coffee shop that was a nice find. I sampled the mushroom coffee (can’t recall the actual name), but I’ll definitely be getting it the next time I’m passing through. The woman working was very helpful because I typically don’t deviate too much from what I already know and she helped me make a selection which was really good.

Love this place so much!! This place has turned into my second home with such a cozy environment it has! Such a big menu that I try something different every time (and it’s always been good). Love the tiktok page as well!!

First time going to clever fox and it will not be my last!! Natalie was wonderful helped me decide what coffee to get, which ended up being an iced caramel macchiato, I also got the bacon breakfast burrito. All so good but the coffee is Amazing!

Big shout out to Natalie, best customer service!! I will be back!

Went here with my family! Ordered the Kiss me Frapp Créme and a chocolate muffin!! Our baristas were amazing!! Morgan and Raven made sure we had everything we needed and made sure our drinks came out just right <3

Mrs. Flip Out and I ventured out to Claremore, and she found this local coffee shop to try. It was one of the warmest, friendliest coffee shops we had been to. Mrs. Flip Out had a hot cafe breve and really enjoyed it. I tried the animal cracker frappe and it was good. The owner offered us samples of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and they were delicious! Their signature drinks had some of the most creative names and it was a fun stop. If you find yourself in Claremore, the Clever Fox is worth stopping in!

A Must-Stop for anyone traveling down historic Route 66, and you don’t even have to like coffee!

You can always tell a great place by the workers who actually want to be there. It makes others want to be there too.

Within the last week I’ve had the pleasure of being served and greeted by the most wonderful staff.

At the Clever Fox I never feel like just a customer, I feel like a friend, even family. The ladies behind the counter are always helpful and have no trouble helping you make up your mind when you just can’t quite decide which new flavor you want to try. It doesn’t matter though, they’re all hits! If you’re like me and you like it flavorful or sweet, you have to try a Lotus!

Raven, Morgan, Madeline, Lisa and Cameron are all so welcoming and professional at their craft. I cannot wait to meet the rest of the staff.

This place has by far been my favorite drink place experience in years! Every time I come in I don’t feel like a customer, I feel like I’m part of something. It’s like I’m a member of the Clever Fox Club, even the decor and overall atmosphere just makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon something special. I’m reminded of a storybook fox’s den, not unlike something you’d find in the world of Fantastic Mr. Fox. It’s bright, clean, beautiful and cheery with a hint of rustic charm. It really is like a children’s book come to life, more than accommodating for children and adults alike.

Just typing this out I cannot wait to go back and find my next new flavor, they’re always creating new originals. The staff works hard so don’t forget to tip.

It seems most everyone working there is college age, but the environment they create and the work they do is probably the best education they could ever receive. The owner(s) are definitely contributing something priceless to the community, and that’s just one of the reasons why they will always have my business and recommendation. Also, how adorable is this little Fox cake?!

Next time you’re in Claremore, or just traveling on Route 66, definitely head over to Clever Fox where you’ll feel like part of the club.

The Barista, Cole was very kind and very genuine to talk to. Definitely made me feel welcome and just talks to everyone like friends. Would recommend, very cute coffee shop to just study in or to meet up with friends for drinks.

I stopped in for a brown sugar cinnamon chagaccino (mushroom latte- highly recommend!) with some friends, and was really impressed with the service! The barista, Cole, was really friendly and helpful, and made the whole experience very enjoyable :)

I got a marble fox with coffee added in. I forgot their names, but two baristas, one with pink hair and one with short blonde hair were really nice to talk to and informed me of different drinks to try. 3rd time I’ve been there, and as always, absolutely amazing.

Clever Fox has become a habit! I love their Mediterranean quiche. Also, the Flower Power drink with coconut milk is awesome. Lots of choices: soups and sandwiches, flavored drinks, teas and coffees. And I LOVE the lemon tarts and cookie bars. The employees are all very nice too!

Tried Clever Fox for the first time today. The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxed and they have a large variety of drinks to choose from. Sidney and Chelsea were helpful and very sweet. I tried the iced caramel macchiato and it did NOT disappoint!!

My barista Madison was really helpful in explaining the different drinks when I wasn’t quite sure what to order. My drinks are very consistently good!!

The drinks here are always amazing, it's also very cozy in the café. My personal favorite drink is the Flower Power, which has coconut milk and vanilla. Morgan Wiggs and Cameron Glen are great baristas. I've never had better energy blends then the ones here, they are worth the price.

First time trying The Clever Fox. What a pleasant surprise. Very friendly service and the atmosphere is fantastic. It is everything a coffee shop should be. Needless to say, they will get my money over the chain stores from now on.

Awesome little coffee shop near Route 66. They have lots of sugar free flavors and plant milk. The sugar free raspberry latte with oat milk was so good. Raven was so friendly and welcoming!

Reese makes the best caramel frap. And the breakfast burritos are delicious.
