Porter Jacks Grill

Traveling on I95 and we loved the menu options at Porter Jacks Grill for our lunch spot! Our server was polite and sold me on the soup and chicken salad. I had the lunch special of a cup of soup (tomato basil) and the half chicken salad sandwich! Amazing and would highly recommend both. My husband had the Turkey BLT with pasta salad. Both came with a tasty pickle too! We devoured our plates as both options were phenomenal. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of products! It was a little cold throughout the building but the Christmas decor made up for that. Loved the Christmas trees!

Stopped here while traveling and had a great experience. We ordered a stuffed potatoes and a ham and cheese sandwich. They also had burgers, ribs, and other southern dishes on the menu. Both came out very quick and hot. Our server was very good. It's definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. We also had a piece of Hershey's cake, which was very good. They only have beer and wine.

Stopped while traveling and so glad we did. Party of four. The grill was very busy but seated quickly. Waitress was excellent and food was fantastic. Best salmon and sweet potatoes I have ever had. Have a gluten sensitivity and easily found several options I could have ordered from the menu. Definitely give it a try!

The most amazing BBQ I've had in this general area. The service was exceptional and I will more than definitely come back. You also will DEFINITELY not leave hungry, you get plenty of food and it's all extraordinary!
If you are worried about allergies they are very accommodating. My fiancé is extremely allergic to seafood and they keep seafood entirely separate from other dishes. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

My husband and I shared the buffalo chicken empanadas and a club sandwich which was on a nice bread and it was hot. Fries were delicious as well. They also have and ice cream shop attached for the perfect ending to a meal. Just traveling through, but this was definitely a great find if you're looking for a good variety that isn't fast food. Moderately priced for the food we ordered. There is a surcharge for using a CC, so pay cash if you want to avoid that.

Had a wonderful dinner. The Jack Basket appetizer was 3x the expected size and was great - deep fries pickles, mushrooms, and onion rings with two different dipping sauces. I had grilled chicken topped with palmetto cheese and bacon and the wife had 8 oz sirloin - both tasty and cooked perfectly. Good menu selection, fair market prices and friendly service. Highly recommend - will go again!

Some of the best food I found by accident so far... The salmon patties are to die for.... You should definitely ask for Kaylee, best waitress I've had in years. Very friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. We will be coming back as often as we get out in the area.

We're full-time RVers and we're staying locally for a few days. We wanted something local and chose Porter Jack's. We went on a Thursday evening. The parking lot was packed and overflowed into the parking lot next door.

We had no wait. Our server, Skyler, came promptly. She gave us a minute to adjust our thoughts - as they serve only wine and beer. She then took our order.

Food was prompt, hot and delicious. My husband had the Charleston Style Shrimp and Grits and a side of very fresh fried okra. He said it was delicious and it certainly looked it. I had the Palmetto Rib Eye Au Jus and couldn't decide between the onion tangles or the pasta salad as a side. Skyler recommend the onion tangles and I'm glad she did. They were piping hot, crispy and just enough batter to make them crunchy. The sandwich was great.

The food, service and atmosphere were great. If we're ever back in the area we'll come back.

First time in nobody other then my husband and then another couple came in. I ordered 8oz. Steak, side of mushrooms. And Green Tomatoes. ( which tomatoes 🍅 were very good and you got a lot of them to satisfy my tummy)! And a glass of Duck Commander wine.. So good! $4.00 a glass.
So our food came and it was the wrong food. So waitress sad sorry. Then we waited again FOOD came out and my steak was burnt 🔥 So she took back. Meanwhile hubby ate his. Husband ordered chopped steak and gravey with loaded baked potato. Then my steak came it really wasn't cooked the way I liked it. Medium well But I ate it and it was really GOOD. Like they say third times the charm. Place was clean and it was friendly. Prices are reasonable. Asked for manager and she knew about the steak being burnt. But she didn't know about the mishap with our food. She gave a 75% discount off our total bill. And was very upset that happened to us, being that it was our first time there and hardly no one was there!! I would go back food was 👍 good! ( see pictures)

It's been a while since the post above. I've been to Porter Jacks several times now since the first review. I am happy to say that the service was Awesome and the food has been Amazing.
I do Highly recommend this place.
It's decor is lovely and very spot on. I haven't tried there dessert but they look amazing too!

Did not disappoint the service was fantastic Kaley did a great job at telling us her favorites and helping us decide. We had the pork loin sandwich which was tender and delicious, also had the seafood platter which was fish shrimp and oysters all were good shrimp was my favorite. Also had an appetizer of sweet potatoes hash browns which were very good and fried zucchini. Highly recommend we will definitely be going back.

Wife and kids shared a porter house, I had the spud with pulled pork.

It was delicious. The service was great, sweetie and yes ma'am. I loved 😍♥ the manners here.

Ashlynn was our waitress tonight and she did a good job taking care of us. My husband had the catfish stew over grits, as shown in the pictures. He described it as Awesome. Our guest had the Turkey BLT and enjoyed it so well that there was not a crumb left on his plate. I had my usual Palmetto Chicken which was outstanding as always. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The lights are dim and fresh flowers adorn must tables. The entertainment for the evening was a gentleman playing a piano-like keyboard from songs of some of the popular artists like Stevie Wonder, the Carpenters, and Patsy Cline. The music was to loud to seat near but was more enjoyable from a distance.

The food I ordered was really good, it surprised me!! I had the steak with friend zucchini. Everything was seasoned so well. Once of the best steaks I’ve had and I’ve never had zucchini that tastes so good.

Not too busy during our visit. Wish I would've taken pictures but the food was really good and the service was too. We just moved to the areaband have been told by many to try this place. Definitely will be a spot for us to have lunch and dinner from now on.

Ordered a Pittsburgh ribeye came out perfect.. sweet potato hash browns are more like home fries but delicious as well..asparagus cooked perfect too.. glad I chose you on my way through town.. I'll be back next time I'm through..
Nice atmosphere too..

Our first time here and everything was wonderful. The salmon was excellent and the hamburger steak was the best I’ve ever had. Our waitress, Autumn was absolutely fantastic!! Great service at a fair price!! I would recommend to anyone, even mama!!

The ribs were epic and the staff was really friendly. We were passing through South Carolina and I felt I needed a taste of the local cuisine and boy I was not disappointed, wow!

I was just left speechless (and those who know me, know how rare that is.)
I'm in a little town called Manning, SC & looked for a local fish place being in Low Country, SC.
I found Porter Jack's after a little searching. It's literally out in the middle of nowhere!
After enjoying some fresh, local fried grouper & fried zucchini and a couple of Heinekens served by a awesome young server named Avi (I think), she informed me my bill had been taken care of the couple behind me! Unfortunately, (but not surprisingly), they had already left.
What an awesome gesture! It made my night after an awful day of traveling I-95 on a holiday weekend
Thank you to my good Samaritan! God bless them! Now to pay it forward!
PS: The grouper tenders were cooked to perfection and so was the fried zucchini. The mac 'n cheese was also homemade. Avi, thanks for the gracious service!
To Porter Jack's owner/management, you have a great little place! You should be proud!

Although I'm not from manning, but I went to see my lawyer and in the mist of everything I asked where was a good eating spot around and the area ,well he suggested that I go here and I must say everything and I mean everything was amazing and delicious. Food is pricey but to me it was well worth it and I look forward too going back there

The food was awesome and the service and atmosphere was great. Loved the music. I would come back for sure.
