Lexington District 3 is by far the best district I’ve had the pleasure of working with. They not only sincerely care for the students but for their health and education as well. The teachers, coaches, discipline office, along with staff members teach the children option of CHOICE. The chance to have choice teaches the students responsibility which goes along way for their future. For 24 years I have worked with D3 with my own children, nobody has made the exceptional work with my kids the way they have. District 3 isn’t just a school for children, they truly care for every last one of the students who enter this district.

This is a wonderful small town district. As an alumna of this district I am proud to work here and send my three children here. I am still in contact with many of the people in my graduating class and enjoy meeting their children as they come through the school system. There is a true "family" feeling in our district which makes me feel very secure as a parent. I believe my children have ample opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed in life through the curriculum, instruction, and extra curricular activities provided at Lexington #3. As a bonus, because it is a small district they have all made connections and friends with people from many different backgrounds, which is not always the case in some of the more well-to-do districts. This "people skill" has been enriched by our small district and I believe this trait outweighs many of the "choices" and "opportunities" that other districts use as their selling point. I would recommend this district to anyone who is interested in cultivating children and youth that will later become responsible adult citizens and future leaders.

Hide your kids, hide your wives, and hide your husbands... Cause they refuse to give a decent education around here!
Lexington District One made an offer to Lexington District Three, the offer was join into our district so that the students in LD3 can be offered better school resources and a better quality of education. LD3 smacked down LD1's offer of aid. Why, may be a question in your mind right now. It comes down to power and money. LD3 council members would have to give up power and money over a educationally monopolized area. Sure you have the option to take your kids to another school by state law. But how many families can afford to drive out of their way even to better their children's lives? Not many, unfortunately.
LD1 offered the ability for students to decide what courses they wanted to take, far beyond that which is offered solely within LD3. LD1's offer of diversified courses would allow students to hop on a bus and be transported to another school to take a course that they desired to take.
What could possibly be wrong with offering students the ability to choose whether they want to be forced to take much the same courses as everybody else (LD3 only offers Spanish as a foreign language) or freely take advantage of courses offered at any of the many schools within LD1 (White Knoll alone offers both Spanish and French at least).
The only disadvantage does not come at a cost to the students or their education. No, rather it comes at the cost of the LD3 board's power over a town that deserves far better than educational monopolization.
