Super nice workers or owner not sure, but I've been here a few times, and the person there has always been super helpful to find whatever it was that I needed and they have good prices and good quality items. Would recommend stopping by if you needed something they sell a very large variety of stuff for prices that aren't to bad.

Great place. Has stuff you can't find anywhere or has to be special ordered. Jack is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Was a great store especially for hard to find items. Unfortunately owner retired and could not sell so had to close.

Alright so ... Roof's Hardware in Batesburg, SC is a very special secret little place known mostly to locals and people in-the-know. He's got the best pocket knives, the best cast iron cookware, the best gas friers and big Frogmore Stew pots, the best off the wall fishing tackle the best little gadgets and turnbuckles and dog collars and hard to find fittings and ... heck, Jack will even put new screens in your windows if you have the frames. He has paints and fire ant killers and wrenches and pliers and bird houses and little red wagons. He has Old Hickory hi-carbon steel forged knives. He has dippers and big long wooden paddle stirrers and kettles and cornbread molds. He has a fix for every possible plumbling need. Jack has flashlights and bottle openers and axe handles. He has stuff to make a trotline and he has frog gigs. He has smokers and water repellents and bug juice and fishing tackle. He has the best garden tools and ropes and chains and straps and belts. Here's the best thing about Jack Roof. He's honest, he's good-hearted and he's caring. He is one of Batesburg's best assets and a local treasure. He's a good, trusting, hard-working man. He took that place over from his Dad thirty or forty years ago and he's maintained the family tradition. The old worn heart pine wood floors, the dusty shelves, the occasional treasure you find stuffed away in some corner or behind a water can ... it's what's missing in places like ACE Hardware and the Big Box stores. I only wish everyone knew about Roof's Hardware. I only wish there were more Roof's Hardwares and Jack Roofs still operating in America. We need more of them.
