It was my first time there and the food was awesome! The owners are very sweet and down to earth! They do Breakfast all day with the lunch food menu! They also have sno cones and homemade cookies and homemade ice cream sandwiches! Everything is homemade! Love the homey atmosphere!!

My visit with my son for lunch was delicious. The Reuben sandwich was the BEST and my son LOVED his grilled four cheese and bacon sandwich. We also each had a cup of the sausage and shrimp chowder. It was spiced perfectly. This is a WONDERFUL place that DEFINITELY deserves a trip for lunch. I hate we were SO full not to have dessert. Next time we'll have a half a sandwich and a cup of soup. We both took half a sandwich home each. Don't miss the opportunity to eat here. The food is AWESOME! Thank you SO much for an EXCELLENT lunch and GREAT service. ❤

What a GREAT place!! Mom and pop ran business, they are so sweet. We loved the patty melt and the Turkey Ruben. The homemade soup of the day was a shrimp, sausage & potato, so so good. They have this snow cone with so many flavors, the ice melts in your mouth you can add ice cream for an extra treat. Next time when we are in the area we will definitely return.

You really need to get off the interstate and visit Sweet Home Texas Eatery. My son and I stumbled across this great place on our way home yesterday and we're thankful we did. He enjoyed their amazing patty melt and my reuben was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And to start if off we were offered a serving of homemade cheeseburger soup, also great.
But to top it all off, the hospitality of the couple/proprietors and the classic shop atmosphere made it a comfortable and welcoming place.
My wife and I will be making the 1+ hour drive back for a visit soon!

My husband and I ate breakfast there and were very impressed. The atmosphere felt like having breakfast at your grandmother's house. The owner peeling potatoes at a table, bacon sizzling in the background, and worship music playing softly. I haven't even gotten the food yet! Everything was so delicious and cooked perfectly. I am so happy we stopped in!

The food was delicious and the friendly service at this wonderful Mom and Pop eatery was terrific the atmosphere, decor and history was great. The owners take pride in their place and their food (which they gave a right to), bit also love to share its history and will take the time to share and answer my Hubby's questions. Love the place.
