Unique, retro environment and delicious food here! We stopped by today and my kids absolutely loved the decorations. Our waitress was very kind and took our order in a timely manner. I ordered the Monte Cristo and for the kids they had spaghetti and meatballs, and steak fingers. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and will definitely come back if we are in town. 10/10 would recommend!

Passing through Mexia late on Friday night and looking for a spot to eat. We noticed this place and the word Diner caught our eye. It was about 8pm and their were several cars in the parking lot and pickup window line. When we entered, a server immediately greeted us and made us feel welcome. We ordered our food and enjoyed the atmosphere. As our food was arriving, I noticed the restaurant was clearing out. I checked their hours on Google and realized we walked in right at closing time. When the server delivered our meal I apologized for coming in at closing time. He told us not to worry about it and appreciated our business. The burger, steak, fingers, boneless wings and fries were all extremely delicious. My wife and daughter kept talking about the ranch dressing and how it was the best they've ever had. We don't go through Mexia much, but I will be stopping here any time I do. Great dinner!

Loved this place. We had the steak finger meal, the catfish and fried pickles. All were fantastic. The atmosphere was nice. The service was great. Our glasses never got below half. Our waitress was Abby and she was one of the better ones I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend this place to anyone passing thru.

Fresh, Tasty, made to order. My favorite is the Chicken Salad Sandwich and Fruit Cup. The ice tea is always very good, never bitter. The Fried Shrimp is just how you'd expect it to be. My husband likes the Reuben Sandwich. Everything on the menu is awesome. You owe it to yourself to stop and eat. Just remember that the restaurant is closed on the weekends so the Staff can spend time with their families.

I walked in the door and was immediately exposed to warm and empathetic hospitality. The establishment was very clean including the bathrooms. So there is the first impressions of the environment. Now on to the important stuff.... the food.
Who the hell goes to a diner and orders a Salmon salad? Well today that was me! I’m normally not a huge salmon fan honestly but this was the best damn grilled salmon salad I’ve ever had ... 🤷‍♂ at a diner in the Texas countryside. The salmon had a very clean flavor with a nice char which gave just the right amount of fat rendering. The spring mix was fresh with candied almonds and fruit with vinegarette. I need some rice or potato carbs for my diet so I ordered a side of mashed taters. Homemade, moist and seasoned perfectly. What a treat this experience was. I will definitely be back.

Steak Fingers are the best in the area. Service is amazing. They actually care about their customers. Rachel treated our table of 5 like a champ. Even with the group of daughters and dads that came in. Will I return of course. Would probably even stop there when by myself. ( which I never dine in alone) but this place felt homey

Had the pork chop lunch. Very tasty and filling. If you eat here you won't leave hungry 😋 for a side i had the fried Okra and it was just right, crunchy but not soggy... I had a glass of ice water and I think it worth mentioning it was very refreshing. Not the usual response on water i know but it was notable, better than bottled! My friend had the sweet tea and said it was also great. Had the loaded baked potato on another visit and it was tasty also.

This is the best diner food that I have ever had. The food was very fresh.. didn't taste frozen. Homemade ranch! We took our family of 7 (children's menu and lunch time) and were able to eat for under $50. This doesn't happen often. We can't wait to go back. Thank you for being a fantastic diner and not some cheap quality chain.

I can only speak to what I've tried, and the club sandwiches, burgers, salads, and onion rings are very good & a great value. Very good service as well.

.. it was very delicious and worth the money... three course meal, however the whole regular menu is delicious also. Not our first time there and won't be our last... Hot fresh food, friendly service and staff. Highly recommend...

My waiter Michael was above and beyond any wait staff I have ever been served by, the garlic cheese curds are great, the lemon pepper steak fries are some of the best, good fried okra and the grilled chicken was moist and flavorful, I may have to convince my wife we need to make a road trip out here one weekend from Kemp Tx.

Dropped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The diner is very clean and the staff was friendly. But the best part of the visit was the food. Excellent express lunch plates. The chicken fried chicken and steak were perfectly seasoned. The green beans were fresh. Don’t miss this if you are in Mexia, Texas.

Real diner atmosphere! Friendly enough staff, clean joint. Boy that fried catfish was ON-POINT. Fresh fish, hand battered, fried just right. Nice sized portions. Save room for dessert, their homemade bread pudding with ice cream and shakes are the cherry on top of the experience.
