Hilton Garden Inn Wausau

We really enjoyed our staying at Hilton Garden Inn. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The only thing we noticed is that the bathroom does need more ventilation (doesn't have exhaust fan). They are in a great location, you can find everything you need in less than five minutes driving. The mall is pretty close. We definitely recommend visiting the restaurant Van Acre inside the hotel. This hotel is also pet friendly.

Had a great short business trip here, and I have to tell you the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I was in town for a training session, in which a conference room was rented, and they went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. I felt that they went over and above by providing the A/V cables we needed as well as printed copies of documents and even AAA batteries. The location seems to be super convenient (I am not familiar with the area) with some restaurants within walking distance. I wish I would have gotten the staff member's names so I could highlight them here, but everyone I encountered was a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely return if I am ever back in Wausau!

We hosted our wedding from the Wausau Hilton Garden Inn and could not have been more pleased. The price, service and facility were all stellar. The staff made us feel special and appreciated every minute of the two day event.

Amazing hotel and staff!! Everyone was so pleasant and helpful, crazy polite!! Angel at check in so cool. Diane at breakfast- amazing and so attentive. Logan and Erica at the Bar - no words on how good they are. Jenson our server was awesome in every way for dinner. And Taylor in engineering was just cool! Y’all are really an exceptional addition to this beautiful property. I wish I got all the cooks names, food was excellent by all standards. Thanks y’all from Austin Texas!

Great room which led to a great sleep in a super comfortable bed. The shower had pressure which was awesome. Restaurant and bar service was fantastic. Front desk staff were great day and night. The gym was clean and had everything I needed. The pool was nice and had a jacuzzi. I went for a run in the morning and the area is beautiful. No complaints. Will stay again.

This was the nicest Hilton Garden Inn I’ve ever visited! The entire hotel (lobby, restaurant, rooms, amenities) is clean, well-kept, and beautifully decorated. The hotel & restaurant staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. The maid service even left a kind note for us in our room. We truly felt they went above and beyond to make our stay great. We stayed over a weekend and the hotel was very busy with lots of young families, but we never heard any noise in the hallways or in the surrounding rooms. The location is great, with easy access to Granite Peak, downtown Wausau, and Nine Mile Recreation Area. I rarely write online reviews, and this place deserves it!

Just spent a night at this lovely Hilton Garden Inn while dropping our daughter off at camp. The staff was terrific, rooms great and the restaurant/bar was unexpectedly fabulous! We were so tired from traveling and they took care of us and made us feel welcome. Thanks Hilton!

Can’t thank the staff enough during my stay. My car battery died and they help jumped the car. I forgot my phone and it was shipped back next day.

The property was clean with lots of parking. Swimming area included regular sized swimming pool, hot tube, and smaller size pool for kids which was nice if you have little kids.

I stay here a couple of times a month.
Staff is always friendly and attentive. Rooms are always clean. Van Acre (the restaurant in the hotel) is one of the best places to eat in town. Tip: if you want a view of the mountain, pick an even numbered room. But you will have some noise from the highway.

This hotel is fantastic. We enjoyed every second of our stay. Will definitely be back when we come to the area again. Update 12/8/23: Stayed twice at the Hilton Garden since my original review. I can not say enough about the staff. Every person working at this hotel from bar staff, front desk to housekeeping absolutely exceptional! This is our go to hotel when visiting Wausau.

Love the customer service here! Brandon who checked me in was so welcoming and nice. Very patience with me and letting me know what time the pool, restaurant and breakfast are open. He sure made me felt very welcoming. I will definitely be coming back when i do visit Wausau

This Hilton Inn location would be one of my best hotels that I ever stayed. The room that I got “1 King Bed Premium” is very spacious and clean. I would recommend booking with Hilton in Wausau & you won’t be disappointed.

If I could give them 100 stars I would. I’ve been traveling for work for 9 years, always stay at a Hilton property when I can. This hotel is so beautiful and well kept I though I was their very first guest. The staff were the only ones ever who mentioned I have “no down ” marked on my profile and made sure to check the room after I was here for a bit to make sure it was perfect. Also thank you Hilton for keeping this hotel in budget for my company. It’s been an absolute pleasure staying here.

Practically perfect! Very clean, modern, welcoming, comfortable hotel. The views aren't special, being just off the highway, and I wish the AMAZING onsite restaurant offered carryout or room service (dine-in only) otherwise it was everything I could have hoped for. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Would certainly stay here again.

This hotel is in my top 5 due to the exceptional people who work here delivering outstanding service, the high quality and cleanliness of the rooms and common areas, and the excellent offerings of the restaurant and bar. Stay here; you will be very glad you did!

This hotel is hands down my favourite Hilton I have stayed at. The hotels design and furnishings are so welcoming. The restaurant and chef offerings were literally over the top! Best stay ever

Chose this hotel to celebrate our anniversary it has everything we were looking for !! Check in experience was awesome!! (Sorry ladies I didn’t get your names ) I’m sad we weren’t able to eat in the igloos but maybe next time !! Dinner was amazing ! Our waitress Sandra (I think) was the sweetest lady and absolutely amazing !! The rooms were spacious, quiet and clean, pool and hot tub were just as amazing !!! Was intimidated by the price but would so do it again … just would make a reservation for the igloos 😬
