Oldies Burgers and More

The burger was fabulous. However, next visit, not ordering the double meat. It was huge, delicious but huge. I would highly recommend eating here. Cute little building.

Excellent food and friendly staff and the free beer was a bonus. Texas popper burger and onion rings were 10/10.

Wimberley needed a great place for Catfish and it’s here. We haven’t had Catfish this good since, well, never! Outstanding Flavor. Not over seasoned at all. The fries were excellent as well. Have had many great burgers here before as well. Thanks Tracy!

You won't be disappointed with anything on the menu. Everyone knows that the burgers are worth standing in line for, but, holy cow!, the catfish is easily the best in the county. We had the catfish plates with an order of onion rings, also exceptional, for lunch today. Had I taken the time and looked at the menu, and seen that you can order an entire sack of hushpuppies, I would probably be about half way through my third bag by now. If you haven't made time to stop by and get a plate full of catfish and an extra order or two of hushpuppies by this time next week, well, that's on you, and you have my profound sympathies.

The best burger I found in the area!! Will be eating here many more times! As I sit here writing this review, i've decided to go eat there for lunch again today ! Dam, I'm hungry now. See you all there!! Haha

Friendly, clean, and great location. Excellent food

I stumbled upon this gem a couple weeks ago, and I'm still thinking about their super tasty burger!! I got one with bacon, cheddar, an onion ring, and some steak sauce, and it was exactly what I needed. Cool spot with friendly staff, and the place happens to have FREE BEER Thurs-Sat?!?! How can you go wrong with that?

This is one of a kind joint! I grew up in Wimberley tx, in fact my very first job was at OFB (old fashioned BBQ) in which are original owners of the fairly new "Oldies" very friendly, perfect atmosphere, and as always the food is on point! This family knows what they are doing when it comes food! Loved every bite. I only ordered the cheeseburger with fried okra, omgoodness best burger EVER! the fried okra was also on point and they make the ranch dressing homemade. Perfect for a Thursday (thirsty Thursdays) get a free lone star beer 🍺 if you are visiting Wimberley tx this is a MUST TRY!

Food was AMAZING!! Visiting from out of town and every time we have to stop and eat. Quality food, quick and delicious. I was licking my fingers, it was that good!! Oh and did I mention FREE beer on Thursday and Friday’s!! This place is the Rock Star of Wimberley!! Love y’all!!

SUPER Friendly staff. & They give you a Free beer. The burgers are fresh (not frozen) and their sides are well seasoned. Definitely recommend checking this place out 👌

My husband and I loved everything about the place, and the food was amazing! Plenty of options and I loved the overall atmosphere. Don’t listen to the negative reviews on this platform. It is pathetic that there are trolls who like to try to ruin local small businesses as a hobby. Tracy, the owner, is NOT a scam artist for selling things separately for goodness sake. She treats her employees better than she treats herself. If you want perfectly cooked, 100% juicy beef burgers, then look no further. Oldies is the place to go.

Stumbled upon this place. If you want an old fashioned burger cooked to perfection in an ice house atmosphere this is place! Our greeter/cashier "Jewel" was just that. She greeted us as old friends. The chef (manager? ) checked on us after we received our meal. Perfectly done burgers - we opted for tots and they were crispy, hot and tender. Please do yourself a favor and check these guys out!

Tasty home style burger and my free beer really topped it off. Management and staff are very friendly. Location had moved, the pair of food trucks was next to the Mexican restaurant, not Subway.

Great place for a true old fashion cheese burger or hamburger. This place is a great and the tots are always hot!

Burgers are handmade. Not your typical fast food pre-formed burgers. Taste is great, staff is super friendly. Hours in this mid-summer heat may not be as posted. Call to check. It will be worth it!

This review is primarily in response to a review I just read posted yesterday.

I find it hard to believe that someone would go to such lengths to write a bad review and base the entire experience on race. Numerous times the previous reviewer referred to the staff at Oldies as “WHITE”. I know for a fact that the “WHITE” girl behind the counter is 1/4 Korean. How rude to assume someone’s ethnicity based on outward appearance alone. Seems that those screaming about race and division are the very ones causing the problem of race and division. The other customer she claimed cut in front of them…. Was only picking up her “to go order” and was not cutting in line due to her being WHITE…. The other customer was a familiar face, a regular, if you will, at Oldies and her food was bagged and ready to go. Seems to me the lovely girl behind the counter was giving good customer service by recognizing this familiar face and getting this customer her food quickly so she could get her on her way and then she could tend to another customer. You stated that you were placing an order for 35 people. That is irrelevant….how was the cashier supposed to know that and what does it matter if you were there to order 35 or 3? People please put race, religion, etc aside and let’s all treat each other with respect and kindness and stop making assumptions.

Oldies burgers are phenomenal and while many are complaining about the prices, keep in mind the current economic situation we are in. ALL businesses have had to increase prices and that includes burgers and fries. Tracy is only doing what she has to do to keep her doors open and keep her employees paid! I don’t like paying $20 for a burger and fries either but I know I’m getting a great burger, I’m keeping my money local and I’m helping a local business owner and her employees. You can always drive down the road to McDonalds…Ranch Road 12 runs both ways!!!
