i gotta tell you, going to the DPS is always a hassle. But today was a different story. I had to take all three of my kids to get their identification cards, and let me tell you, it was a breeze. As soon as I walked through that door, Carl Kennedy was there to greet me with a big smile and top-notch care. When it came time to get everything sorted, he went above and beyond to help me out, even assisting me with emailing some documents I didn't have. Talk about going the extra mile!

Then, when we made our way to the window, Shay and Mr. Darrell were absolute gems. They were so friendly and helpful to my kids, making the whole process a piece of cake. I've never had such a smooth and pleasant experience. I can't express how grateful I am for these three amazing people. Their customer service was outstanding, and their generosity and warm smiles made all the difference. Seriously, thank you guys!

Super efficient location. You must make an appointment in advance - they will not take you without one.

I checked in on my phone, filled out my form to get a license when I got there (moving from another state where I was already licensed), went through a desk to confirm I had all of my necessary documents and then was seen at a counter all within about 20-30 minutes.

I came in on Friday morning at 9AM and this seemed to be a quick and efficient time with not too big of a crowd. This was much quicker than getting my registration.

Great facility, I was in and out in about 15 minutes plus the filling out of the application and wait before they opened. So about 45 minutes all together. I was the first one in my booth after they opened. They were having Computer Issues, Camera Issues, Fingerprint Reader Issues, and finally Credit Card Swipe Issues. But again, I was still out on 15 minutes. Bring cash just in case, even though the preferred method of payment is the Credit Card. But being in both Lucky Number 7, it worked out for me.

I made an appointment online for my TDL renewal. From the time I got there, until the time I left, was 40 minutes total. Very organized. They have a good system going. NOTE: If you are getting a new TDL or renewing it, i'd suggest bringing your birth certificate. They are asking for that now.

Fast process, Diego helped me. Got my license about a week and a half later, with my motorcycle endorsement as well, transferred between states.

I think Diego was like C53 or something, just a shoutout.

Houston's Veterans Memorial Mega Center was a DMV dream come true for my aunt and me this afternoon! No endless lines, no grumpy faces, just a team of super helpful DPS crew who whisked her out-of-state license conversion through in a record 30 minutes. Having an online appointment helped a bunch, that's for sure. Now that's what I call a public service win!

We applied for an ID and it went really fast! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Some of our paperwork was missing but we could email it so we could proceed. Overall a good experience!

Showed up 20 minutes before appointment with my walker and wife. Assigned a ticket at kiosk without any problem. After about 10 minutes wait was called into line, could not stand so wife held spot while I sat. When called to a distant station, employees noticed my condition and reassigned me to a much closer office. My agent, who also assisted my transfer to my seat with my wife, was excellent in care and explanation. When concluded, he retrieved a wheelchair for me and escorted me back to the outside curb and again assisted me getting back in our car. I believe his name was Jeff. He has aqua and pink hair and quite the excellent individual!! This Drivers License Center get an EXCELLENT rating by this old guy, for sure!!!

Today I had the opportunity to be helped out by amanda gaime. I belive that was her last name. Overall she made my experience excellent, I had brought in my 3 year old with me to accompany me to get my driver licensed renewed and she would continue to connected and make him laugh and have fun with him

She created an experience that was fun and safe for me and my kid

Overall 5 start falls short of the score I would have given her. If possible I would have given her a 10/10 for the experience and the way she made the process of renewing my license easy.

Organized, clean, and professional.

When you arrive you sign in at a kiosk. There is also online check in available and you would just have to arrive at your appointment time.

Upon entering there is a staff member by the kiosks who is welcoming everyone and answering any questions such as which forms to fill out.

When you go to a public facility such as DPS or Social Security, a long wait is expected. You should just take off the whole day to be on the safe side and expect a wait of around 3 hours or so.

If you really want to get in and out, I’d recommend arriving 30mins before their opening business hour time and waiting on the line outside until they open the doors with all the early birds. That would most definitely cut your average waiting time of 3 hours in half.

Chairs are of average comfort but they seem to have enough to accommodate everyone.

I also appreciated how all the staff were on the same page of their policies and rules. I came in with an open beverage and was told that I can only have a closed water bottle. That rule was consistent with no exceptions to the rule. All the customers abided by it.

Overall, besides the expected long wait time the facility was kept cool and clean. So I didn’t mind waiting and just read my book.

I had a great experience at this location and was very impressed with the organization & professionalism of every single person I interacted with. I showed up at 7am without and appointment (I was going to add a Motorcycle endorsement to my existing TX DL) and prior to opening hours (7:30am) an employee was organizing the lines and ensuring that people without appointments went inside to get one. I got one from 9:15am and headed out for breakfast nearby. When I got back at 8:45am and checking in I only waited for about 5 minutes before my number came up on the screen and I was of there prior to 9:30am. To be honest, I typically dread going for DL renewals, but this time it was nothing but exemplary - well done to all that are part of this success story.
